I need some good fantasy or scifi to read that doesn't involve romance. preferably urban fantasy or cyberpunk or just downright weird shit, but I could do with more traditional stuff. as long as people aren't driven by lust. I'm so so soso so sososososoooooooo very tired of reading that sort of thing in traditional print novels.

Amazing. She perfectly articulated the movie's flaws; I didn't even register some of them. Given her job, her perspective is so needed. Like, of course, it is weird that the biggest scene play-for-laughs is also Anora's worst mistreatment, and of course that could be triggering for someone in the industry that had suffer violence, and of course the audience laughter of it is a remainder of the lack of empathy towards abuse and violence towards sex workers, and of course the scenes in the strip club, for a sex worker, are just attempt reenactments of her day-to-day job and the dullness that must accompany that. Like how didn't i see it?
