25 Simple Steps to Becoming a Success on GiGpluss

FIRST STEPS ARE SO EASY BUT….

Well if you decided to have your own business on any fiverr like site you need to know few simple steps.

Here’s a plan composed of simple steps and advices based on my experience in the last 3 years.

The first steps are the most important.

Even if they seem simple, a lot of people forget to do or make them incomplete.

STEP 1 – WHAT IS YOUR HOBBIES

Firstly you need to know what is your best skills. What are you good at? What do you like to do most in your free time?

What are your hobbies? Because you’ll start this activity like a part time job so will replace that time you already spend with your hobbies.

Then as you learn you’ll be able to turn your new venture into one good full time business.

Well is easy to say but we sometimes struggle to find what’s best for us to do.

Here are some points that should guide you:

feel happy to do what you decided to do

time passes quickly and you are amazed to see how much you’ve done

have a sense of pleasure thinking that you did

what you do is unique and continue or develop what you know that people have already made

STEP 2:- WHAT ARE THEIR PROBLEMS

Then you really need something very important – to be sure what are you good at is that things people ask for..

So you need to find out what people are searching for..

What are their problems and how to find fast, reliable and effective solutions.

Solution is again at your hand, but many people forget to look for what people search.

All these sites have a small search box where you can quickly see how many searches have what you decided to do

And almost all these sites have news and trends on their home/first page.

No matter what talent you may have, you’ll find your way.between now day trends.

STEP 3:- AVAILABILITY, COMMUNICATION AND GOOD INTENTIONS

To contact and be contacted by people you need to communicate and be transparent.

Well, that’s not possible if you do not fill your gigpluss profile description using all available space and choosing your words so that people are somehow attracted.

I’ll give you a simple example using two completely different cases:

I’m a musician with 7 years of experience, i play the guitar, electric guitar, mandolin and classic guitar. I’m a composer and audio editor with over 5 years of professional experience….. so on and so forth…

I mean no one is really interested in how many years of experience you may have.

Is difficult to verify and nobody wastes time to look when it is about a $5 service.

And there is that feeling that I have read too many times too much praise on mediocre sellers.

On the other hand, in example two you put emphasis on exactly what every buyer wants to hear.- availability, communication and good intentions.

STEP 4:- FIRST STEP TO BRAND YOURSELF

Well this step is about the first step to brand yourself.

Ok, let’s don’t use big words, let’s say I so too many times empty spaces instead of a simple profile photo.

Any empty space is an empty feeling or worse…

I know, you are a private person, or you don’t want to be recognized by anybody or you don’t want to share your personal data with complete strangers so on and so forth…

Or you simply don’t know why, you have a bad feeling and that’s it.

Well I have good news and bad news.

That seller who has enough confidence to buy your services is not a stranger.

Is your friend.

Is like you’ve already drank a cup of coffee together and that can not happen without being face to face.

People are curious and usually want to buy from the people they like and is nothing cool in an empty space when is about relationship.

So try to upload something even is an animate figure of you, will be amazing if one day you’ll show your real face – everybody will enjoy that, especially if you achieve success on the road.

STEP 5:- COMPETITION VERSUS CREATION

We live in a world where competition seems to be the rule

All feel a competition against all

Long ago, people were born standards and rules and we still follow them assiduously

Well, if it’s to give you absolute advice, please do not think that you will find a way to success using competitive way

You have your own style, your own behaviour and nothing is better than this.

Instead of competition please feel creation, nobody is able to compete with you if you just create using your own feelings and skills

But you’ll become a slave of an wild competition if you lose the creation focus.

STEP 6:- CONCERNS

When first started to work on gigpluss you have a strange sense of alienation as such first day at a new job.

Easily overcome this moment and after some time you really feel like you are an active part of that community.

No need to feel like this.

Two things determine and shape this evolution, one good, the other bad.

If you don’t have concerns and you imagine that you will be successful and you will immediately receive an order – this is a positive attitude that will lead to success anyway.

And yes, after you’ll receive first order, enthusiasm and energy will undoubtedly lead to success.

Conversely, if you are overwhelmed by the multitude of talents of others and forget that people may have started long ago, it is possible not only to not be successful but to think it’s hard to make money online using any site like fiverr.

Your inner state is an absolutely and necessary step for success..

STEP 7:- I WISH I KNEW MORE ABOUT HOW TO START

You will not forget when you have started, we all feel nostalgia and think that I wish I knew more about how to start, how to make it better, how to create optimal working conditions.

Well, I do not think it will happen if you start by making small things.

A lot of small things will become a habit and after a while will lead you to bigger and better things.

I do not think you will ever have dreamed optimal conditions to do whatever you want

But I’m sure you can use what you have now to begin.

STEP 8:- TEST AND REPEAT

Like I said above is possible even have no idea what are you good at.

You have a basic feeling depend of your expertise.

You need to test and repeat, then you need to test new things – this is the best environment for testing.

What better conditions do you want more than real hungry buyers in great need for good services???

Here is fire and you need to know how to handle.

Will be impossible if you don’t test and repeat and test again and again until you’ll find out what works better for you.

STEP 9:- MISTAKES

If I look in the past I realize how many mistakes I made. No matter how and what I will write here, you will make mistakes.

I remember people who wanted to tell me this but I wanted to be perfect.

Is undoubtedly a quality of those who are successful but it’s also a very thin limit between your desire for perfection and a certain extremism that has nothing to do with business, success, profit, money.

Don’t lose your spare time with too many specialized things, instead try to feel the real market.

STEP 10.- MONEY

Money.

You want money.

And you don’t want $5 but you want at least $5 X 1000.

Please don’t think like that.

Don’t even think money.

Is probably the hardest thing to do on such sites where you think in terms of $5.

Instead try to think how you can become most wanted by customers, how you can give more value in less time with less efforts.

How you can routine yoor work that brings money so that it brings to the state of the art.

$5 stage and state of the art stage are incompatible but if you think a little you’ll find out more ways to really have success.

STEP 11 – YOU NEED TO BE VERY WELL ORGANISED

You need to be very well organised.

Here are some things I’ve done in the past and still do and that saves me time and money:

when you get several orders simultaneously, start with what you seem more complicated and end with the simple one

Do NOT use automated publishing micro jobs software, even if you feel that this save your time.

There is a system that monitors when you were last time online.

Or if you’re online right now.

It is a sign of seriousness to buyers, no one will buy anything from a seller’s account, which came in a month ago.

STEP 13:- TITLE & CATEGORY

When you publish your skill on gigpluss remember that each element, each empty box to be filled in carefully.

Let’s take a simple example on gigpluss – If you look closely at your job permalink you will notice that appears like here:

That’s mean site/category/job-number/job-title and you can see how important is to chose appropriate category and title.

Take your time and choose carefully your:

TITLE.

try to not be too long

try to make people to click to find out more

do not include strange elements like )(@><

do not include that “I will” twice so when you copy/paste from your notepad remember you already have in your site ”I will” and ”for $”

try to use special sentences and phrases like you receive every day in your email – special phrases or persuasive words that will influence people to click and visit your job.

And test and test again your title until you’ll see the difference between a good title and a simple and not so interesting title.

CATEGORY.

Let’s give you a simple example I found yesterday on other micro job site when one seller insert his gig on a wrong category.

This job was inserted on ”writings” category but the right category is ”tips and advice”.

Now just take a look to hubpages category system.

You can see how many categories.

More than you”l find on gigpluss and more descriptive.

There are a reason for this.

Any fiverr like site script was made with the clear crystal intention – to be SIMPLE.

A simple platform where you can insert your skills in no time.

Where you will not be overloaded with a lot of windows and little boxes.

Where you can insert a lot of your skills on “other” category.

So if you have only 18 category on gigpluss please take your time and choose carefully.

STEP 14:- DEVELOP YOURSELF

You need to continuously develop yourself.

That is about to reinvest the money earned in yourself.

That may mean buying something that shorten your learning curve so know more ways to provide your services

Or maybe your curiosity about other gigpluss seller’s work.

Anyway it is not a good way to spend all your money earned into other directions, at least not until your earnings become substantial.

It might sound strange but this activity is just like a business ofline , make a good habit and invest and expand.

STEP 15 – DESCRIPTION

Your gig description is where you can insert final things that will determine any people to buy your work.

But why some sellers sell much more than others??

Is a simple coincidence?

Not at all.

Well here are few steps you need to accomplish if your intention is to easy sell to any body:

make it personal, feel like the buyer is in front of you, use simple words

forget about what ”I offer” and insist on ”what you get” matter a fact try to remove all ”I” and find out appropriate words around ”you”

try to act simultaneous into 2 direction: one is about to say loud and clear about an important BONUS, second try to overdeliver the job itself.

always share with your customer your basic intention:so try to lead the communication and ask that questions that make the buyer to speak the way you want.

try to find a way to anticipate and plan buyer responses so do not be caught unprepared

some percent of the buyers (too small in my opinion) will want to know more – it’s a sign your description is incomplete, test and test again

try to include in your description branding elements that make you feeling like the time spend with the entire job deserve the effort – a lot of people will see anyway everything and after few month your reputation will be alive

anticipate buyer reactions AFTER the selling process is finished in your description – you make it several times and have that feeling that is easy to understood – it is not for a first time view, try to compensate thinking like a buyer

push on moving, emotional statement, people buy somehow emotionally, they want what they want without a logical reason – because they are comfortable or lazy or because they want to stop one pain, or because they want to feel pleasure, rarely because they really need.

don’t do what I did on my first job – somebody ( a casino owner) order my promotion micro job and I was happy but…. so try to include something like :Please do not order if you don’t provide accurate info or your product is porn, dating, sexually-oriented, gambling, hate, drug or illegal content.

So your job description is very important and you have only one chance to keep your audience attention so think twice and do once.

STEP 16:- INSTRUCTIONS TO BUYER

You have there a box named ”Instructions to buyer”

I found almost everybody does not complete that window.

Why?

Because:

they want to finish quickly

they have no idea what to said

even they have some idea they are inside of some weird feeling like maybe better is to not say anything

Wrong.

All spaces inside any fiverr like site is made with very good reasons, that’s why right now fiverr is a world wide trend in his infant stage..

First of all is a sign of communications even if you write a simple ” provide info”

It’s a personal message.

A personal touch.

Please keep in your mind – that words will appear to the buyer ONLY and AFTER he order.

STEP 17:- KEYWORDS

Tags or keywords are simple words – people will find your skill on google and search engines based on that words.

You have limited space so choose carefully.

I use to find out based on:

a little search using the words are already included in title.

other sellers gigs with the same direction

searching on google using long phrase like free keyword research tools and you’ll find things like Google’s Keyword Tool, Market Samurai, Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, SEMRush, so on so forth

Take your time and do this, will worth

STEP 18:- MAXIMUM DAYS TO COMPLETE BOX

Maximum days to complete box is so important that I have here on hubpages not enough space to describe.

Even if you provide an amazing service people will judge you firstly by your delivery time.

You can see on more than 80% of good feedbacks, they say almost unconscious -ON TIME!!!, And he delivered fast in 1 day, quick turnaround, Very fast work, very fast response…..

We like people feel a sign of respect when one seller send us quickly solutions.

And yes, I use to be mad when I heard BETTER LATER THEN NEVER

So better will be to make a habit using two direction:

one is to write on your job one more day for delivery

second is to finish your work – two days earlier

In this way you can be sure you’ll receive good words

STEP 19:- A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAILURE AND SUCCESS

A simple picture can make a big difference between success and failure.

Now days a new wave was born with the appearance and amazing development of pinterest – VISUAL MARKETING

We don’t have time any more to read all things around us, that’s why we evaluate people, services, goods and feelings based on pictures and videos.

So here is few of my thoughts regard the way your picture must be:

unique

very good quality

descriptive for your job

with your face, logo, web sign inside so to be able to brand yourself

with gigpluss logo or domain inside so to be able to brand and help the community development

I’ve seen too many times pour quality pictures from really good sellers and is not right.

And I’ve seen a lot of simple sellers making money online on fiverr like sites based on a simple habit – to upload only appropriate picture.

STEP 20 – ALLOW USERS TO ORDER MORE THAN ONE BOX:

Allow users to order more than one box can be tricky.if you don’t make a correct evaluation of your time and resources.

I mean it is possible to receive too much to work and find yourself unable to meet your commitment and this will not lead to success.

However, I consider an amazing improvement for that sites who use only $5 like fiverr for example.

On gigpluss you can ask for $5 to $50 at once so using this little box you can really feel like micro job sites is not a good description for such a community.

Your advantage on gigpluss in this case.

STEP 21 – SIMPLE WAYS OF PROMOTIONS:

Well you did all the steps above and still have not received any order?

You are not alone.

Me either two years ago.

Until I find out I need to promote my work.

I mean too much sellers come on the site, publish their micro jobs then go away expecting orders.

I bet nothing will happen.

Here are few simple ways you can use and promote your skills:

you have more then 323 social networking sites sharing buttons inside gigpluss at the end of your micro job page - USE IT

you can SAY to everybody around about your skills published on gigpluss, when I say SAY I mean not by sending links but with your own words on a personal approach like you meet a friend and drink a coffee.

you can make that link short using bitly and count down how many unique hits received your job in a week, if it is less then 1000 unique hits don’t ask me why you don’t received orders until now – there are really skilled people around you so you need to do this work

you can go to youtube which is the first video provider and second search engine in the world and make simple videos based on unique pictures and words

you can use facebook and facebook groups and start a free campagne giving more details about what you are good at

you can make a free facebook fan page (is visible to everybody) and use amazing facebook tools

you can make a free twitter account and link with that above facebook fan page so everytime when you publish on facebook will be shared on twitter

you can make a free pinterest, flickr, photobucket accounts and use the micro jobs unique pictures

you can comment on any blog on the internet and in this way you increase your work esposure – ten comment per day, 300 comments per month will make a difference.

And are more than 1000 different ways and places you can free promote your skill. In my opinion, when you promote your own service and talent you are more entitled to be heard somehow more that if you are promoting mlm venture, affiliate pages and other ways to make money online.

Because you are the final solution and NOBODY stay between you and your customer.

STEP 22:- ADVANCED WAYS OF PROMOTIONS

Here are more ways of promotion, maybe not so simple but very efficient:

you can start a little free blog on blogger, wordpress and on more than 100 other free blogs providers – will be a elegant way to promote your job by writing more quality content around your talent

you can write here, on hubpages like I do now and this is again an amazing and elegant way for your promotion

you can write on articles directory like ezine.com

you can write on squidoo, infobarrel

you can answer on yahoo answers

you can buy your own domain and have your own blog, this way you’ll grow up and grow up quickly writing stories about your own real development like a gigpluss user

you can write a simple good content and transform in a pdf free ebook using openoffice – you need only to insert your links and give for free and will become viral if contain real good stuff

Like I said you need to promote your own work, nobody will promote for you but will worth if you use free ways.

STEP 23:- OBSERVER

Almost everything I wrote above make you thinking that I give seller advices.

Well you are so wrong.

If you imagine your success on gigpluss is limited only to be a seller you are missing something very important.

You can free register to gigpluss and become what ever you want to be. But the best thing you can do is to be an OBSERVER.

This is the word I use to describe one man or woman who want more than few hundred dollars .

I mean by using your skills and talents you make money in your gigpluss account then you can wisely spend on that services you really need.

You can OBSERVE other people skills and make use of them.

Let’s think.

Everybody ask for money.

Well not on gigpluss if you listen to me.

You came to this site, free register then use your passion and hobbies in exchange for others passions and hobbies.

Without MONEY in your mind.

Value exchange.

This is an important step in your evolution on internet.

The moment when you forget about money will be that moment when you’ll really start to MAKE MONEY ONLINE

STEP 24:- GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL

The next level in my opinion is to be an OWNER of such a fiverr like site.

You can be the best seller in the world and also the wisest buyer.

You can be an amazing OBSERVER. so all above and something more.

But to be an owner is different.

Yes, is true, if you are a good seller and a wise buyer you have good chances to be a good owner.

So here is few words or steps or advices in my own vision about what you need to be an amazing owner:

you need patience because this is a long run business

you need to be devoted completely to your young community

you need TIME to handle all tasks involved

you need to know how to outsource your best resources

you need persistence and willing to win because of all bad things you’ll find along the way

you need vision and hope as sometimes you’ll feel overloaded about so many competition out there

you need to invest money, your investment will make profit finally but NOT quickly

you must use the money in a wise way without spending on things that don’t improve your community

you need to have in your blood that team feeling, or family feeling or whatever you want to call it

you need to forget about in one day you’ll sell your site on flippa, and forget about thinking how much money you’ll receive for your community

you need to have best relationship with any fiverr like site community owner worldwide, fiverr included.

STEP 25: – NEVER GIVE UP!

Easy to say but hard to do, right?

Well here and now is an amazing step in your development – if you read all steps above I’m sure you are a winner.

Bad things will happen sometimes, al lot of things that will appear like a catastrophic and impossible and hard to believe things.

Like a bad feedback on a full of good feedbacks seller page.

Like your naive trust on people who don’r even deserve to talk about.

Like a bad change in your rank page because of teddy bear or thomas cat google alghorithm.

Like a simple bad day when you wake up in a sunny day who become the worst day in your life.

But you can LEARN from all this so called bad things and you can become the best SELLER, the wisest BUYER, the finest OBSERVER and the most amazing OWNER in the world ONLY and because YOU NEVER GIVE UP.
