I've been enjoying the Businesses & Hobbies pack (and some of the other features I assume came with Life & Death) once or twice a week when I have time to play, but nothing worth posting.

Not only do we currently have a house full, but half of the kiddos have some developmental/behavioral/mental health issues that keep me busy and exhausted. So. Many. Appointments. And early pickups for behavior. And all that comes with taking care of a household of eight. EIGHT, you guys. The irony is not lost on me as a Sims player 😂

Placement#: 10, 11 and 12 Length of stay: emergency/short term (three days) Age: child (10, 8 and 7)

Likes: video games (so much video games,) snacks, card games, movies, dog walks, sports Dislikes: sharing

Without saying too much..... This was our first placement with a (known) background of physical abuse. They were typical rowdy boys, broke a few things in the house, and also broke our hearts. We basically slumber partied all weekend, and middle brother was my cuddle buddy for movies on the couch, talked my head off on lots of dog walks, and was a very enthusiastic cheerleader at our older foster girl's basketball games. They begged to stay when they had to be moved on Monday morning (we were over capacity, but agreed to take them for the weekend anyway,) and I really wished we could have let them.

Placement#: 9 Length of stay: short term (three weeks) Age: teen (12)

Aspiration: Mt. Komorebi Explorer Traits: Erratic, Geek Likes: anime, skating, drawing, video games, black clothing Dislikes: pink, public places (or at least ones she didn't choose,) every food (even ones you previously made for her and she devoured)

Without saying too much, this placement was quite a difficult one. She came to us from a mental health facility and had some very challenging behaviors. We were happy to get to see her reunify with her mother and brother though -- our first placement to go back home while staying with us.

Haven't posted in quite some time and need to catch up on "Foster Sims" updates. It's been a whirlwind over here!!

We're taking in the last two of a sibling group of six (yes, six) within the next week, ages 1 to 12. We bought another vehicle to make this happen. (And because we needed it.) I'm a minivan driver now.

The kids had been in separate foster homes for the last year, and the most recent four were moved to us from a home that is being shut down. Almost everything they brought with them had to be trashed.

Some of our 11 yr old foster girl's back-to-school looks. ♥

She picked out the "cool" stuff shopping with us last weekend at H&M, which she loooved. She told us it was the first time she'd ever been in a mall/had name-brand clothes. (Is that "name brand?" idk)

I ordered a few things from the Target sale last night that she will probably scoff at, because all I buy is cute colorful kid stuff and she thinks she is edgy and grown.... 😂😂😂
