Sup y'all, headcannon time!

So for those who don't know, in the smash bros series, Little Mac's finals smash is when he grows into Giga Mac

(This thing)

and beats the shit out of his opponent. In the reality of Punch Out (and to an extent the smash bros universe), I feel like Little Mac would have this ability, but not really. Personally, I feel like the person getting beaten up would hallucinate that Mac has turned into his big, hulking creature, when in reality Mac just absolutely lost his temper and started swinging wildly, so much so that his opponents see Giga Mac but no one else does, all they see is Mac fighting wildly and almost getting lost in his flurry of swings.

Just my headcannon, but I'm open to other interpretations of Giga Mac! ^^

yup. I thought of Little Mac being the next to have the ability to become The Hulk. (2003 Ang Lee style.) Idk why since Giga Mac is still a thing. 🤔

Little Mac 🟢🥊headcannons bc he's my new comfort character and I adore him !! (/non-romantic)

- He is 5'1 in my AU, a rough combo of his height in the NES and Wii punch out. (That's also my height irl... ouch the projection is so real)

- Doc Louis is his adopted parental figure (I know lots of people have this hc but its so cute and I love it a lot so I stole it mwahahaha 😈)

- He won't admit it, but being raised by Doc, he adopted Doc's love for all things chocolate. In public, he'll refuse all things flavored/is chocolate, but in reality, he loves it.

- His favorite color is pink! Owns tons of clothes that are pink, but doesn't like to wear them at the WVBA out of fear of the other boxers picking on him

- Speaking of them, the boxers pick on him either way... except MAYBE Disco Kid. Its almost always about his height too and its always because they salty they all lost to him.

- Little Mac is autistic! (Ouch the projection 😭) He is high-functioning autistic. He's sensitive to touch (preferring to wear his boxing gloves most of the time) and is constantly hyper-fixated on boxing. He's also kind of a picky eater and hates spice or complex flavors.

- Loves the Rocky movies... all of them, and the Apollo movies. His other favorite films include Raging Bull, Million Dollar Baby, and he's kinda mixed on Fight Club.

- Mac doesn't know it, but his real biological dad is Texas Mac. Texas left Mac in NY to pursue a rich, child-free life in Texas. Only ever came back to see Mac when Mac got famous for boxing, but Mac refuses to ever go with him, and insists on staying with Doc.

- Little Mac is bilingual! After becoming the champion of the WVBA, Little Mac decided to start picking up multiple languages so he could understand the other boxers. He now knows French, Spanish, German, Hindi, Russian, and a little bit of Turkish and Japanese.

- In terms of ethnicity, my personal hc is that Mac is biracial. His biological dad, Texas Mac, is white but his biological mother was Mexican. (All other hcs and versions of Mac are valid tho!! /gen)

- Sleeps with a stuffed, sleepable version of the smash bros sandbag

- Peter Punch, his close bff (aka Birdie aka blonde little mac), has known him his entire life. They were even raised at the same orphanage.

- Very cautious about eating in front of the other boxers... especially if he's eating a CHEESEBURGER or any burger worth the others making a big mac joke.

- Hates it when other people (except Doc) touch him suddenly. If you catch him off guard he's most likely going to clobber you

- Little Mac is asexual (side note my pinned AU is a bit outdated and I'm gonna update it soon)

- Prefers summer-esk clothes like tank tops and shorts, but refuses to ever fight shirtless because he feels uncomfortable fighting like that. Ofc if it ever gets cold, he'll slip into his pink hoodie and matching sweatpants

- His favorite WVBA opponent is Disco Kid. Disco is definitely the least mean to him out of the boxers, and they even hang out together on the weekends sometimes (although Mac has to he home by 10, Doc's rules.)

- Very self-cautious about his height, and is only really called 'Little Mac' because that's the boxing name the WVBA picked for him. Sometimes this causes him to lash out at the other boxers on bad days

- Because he's the top, undefeated champion of the WVBA, he gets paid the most out of any boxer. Although late into his career he never knew what to do with all that money so he mainly donates it to charities and other orphanages

- Little Mac has the WORST insult game out of any boxer... I'll post a list of his terrible corny smack talk later, but at one point Doc had to pull him aside one day and said "Mac, baby, how about we let your fists do the smack talking from now on?" and nowadays Mac just does that weird taunt/stim that he does to heal up

- Mac primarily stims by jumping up fist-pumping the air (see his animation after he knocks out an opponent after taking little to no damage)

- Has never promoted any product in his life, unlike the other boxers (see my hc list for the other boxers and their promotional deals) and frankly, Doc doesn't want him to sell himself out

- Speaking of Doc, he's extremely protective of Little Mac. He'll manage Mac's professional social media accounts and email to keep the creeps and weirdo 'fans' and haters alike away from him.

- One of Doc's biggest fears is becoming an overbearing, toxic sports parent. Coach before parental figure, type of person. That's why he likes to keep a lighthearted (but helpful) mood during Mac's fights, just so his adopted son never feels pressured to always win. Mac himself never sees Doc as overbearing... to him, Doc is his dad first and coach second. They love joking between rounds, whether it be at the opponent's expense or something random... most likely chocolate related. Mac honestly loves it, he wouldn't want anyone else in his corner.

Punch Out!! Boxers and their nightly routines

Little Mac 🟢🥊

- Sleeps in his pink hoodie on cold nights, and a soft tank top on hotter nights

- Sleeps with a 5ft plush punching bag with dot eyes (the training dummy from Smash Bros lol)

- Likes to wear his gloves to bed for texture purposes

- Goes to bed relatively early, thanks to Doc making sure he doesn't stay up partying or anything

- Has an extremely fluffy bed... thick fluffy blanket, thick fluffy pillows... he actually looks quite funny when he sleeps sunken into his bed

Glass Joe 🇫🇷 🥐

- Wears the honk mimimi sleeping gown and nightcap

- Before bed he likes to read a novel and sip tea- wakes up with bad morning breath

- Sleeps with some cute mon ami plushies of baguettes and croissants... either those, or he's cuddling with Kaiser.

- Sometimes twitches in his sleep- that means he's having a bad dream about a previous unsuccessful fight

- Being an insomniac, he could go a LONG time without sleep... his latest bedtime is 5am.

Von Kaiser 🇧🇪 🔩

- Sleeps shirtless and with long pajama pants

- Very strict about his sleeping position and time that he often actually falls asleep far later than he wanted

- Either sleeps with nothing or with Joe

- Has nightmares on average way more than the average person

- Snores lightly... some people hate it, but Joe honestly loves it

Disco Kid🕺 🪩

- Sleeps in an oversized band t-shirt... and by oversized, I mean it barely covers below the belt (at least he has the courtesy to wear underwear).

- Puts on some lo-fi music as he sleeps

- Has the most blindingly colorful plushies that he sleeps with

- Tends to go to bed late-ish, around 10-11pm

- Will sometimes hum out tunes while he sleeps

King Hippo 🏝 🦛

- He sleeps BUTT NAKED MWAHAHA

- His snoring shakes the city

- Sleeps anywhere really, but prefers to sleep by the water (he has no home so he goes anywhere he wants)

- Never falls asleep unless he's had a big enough dinner

- His bedtime is inconsistent

Piston Hondo 🇯🇵🍣

- Sleeps in kimono-styled pajamas, shorts and short-sleeved.

- Like Kaiser, has a very strict bedtime

- Somehow doesn't completely ruin the look of his bed when he sleeps

- Sleeps so still, his cat (Yuki) often curls up and sleeps next to him or on his chest

- Snores light enough that you would both know he's sleeping, but you wouldn't be disrupted by your own sleeping

Bear Hugger 🇨🇦 🐻

- Sleeps only in his underwear, and butt naked if he sleeps with the animals. Wifey Lomasi sleeps in an oversized bear onesie

- Switches between sleeping outside under the stars and inside his trailer.

- LOUD snores... the animals and Lomasi (my OC) often don't mind tho.

- Tends to sleep in often around the winter months, nearly in sync with bears until he remembers he has to go to work

- Wifey Lomasi likes to sleep on his stomach my neighbor totoro-style

Great Tiger 🇮🇳🐅

- Tiger onesie all the way!! Or other theme cat pajamas

- Often wakes up levitating... which often leads to him falling back on his bed or on the ground when he wakes up

- Somehow always remembers his dreams... likely due to his magic

- Can't sleep without white noise

- Has a bunch of cat and tiger plushies that he got from fans that he likes sleeping with

Don Flamenco 🇪🇸 🥀

- Sleeps in a floral satin robe with matching shorts

- Either sleeps on the couch when he does a terrible job at boxing or sleeps with Carmen in her room when he does good

- The couch is extremely uncomfortable for him and its cold there plus he isn't allowed a blanket or a pillow

- Tries to sleep early to avoid getting eyebags but is always restless no matter where he sleeps

- Loves using a rose themed incense to help him sleep

Aran Ryan 🇮🇪 😈

- Sleeps in tight Ireland-themed briefs

Soda Popinski 🇷🇺🍾

- Sleeps face down, ass up, arms spread out

- Doesn't snore loudly per se, but snores in inconsistent increments in funny ways

- Likes to sleep with this little lamb plushie that he's had since his youth. He doesn't want anyone to know he does so though

- Always, without fail, wakes up on the floor or some strange area of his apartment

- Sleeps in that red robe... this one

Bald Bull 🇹🇷 🐂

- Shockingly still as he sleeps... even more still than Hondo

- Likes to cuddle with the numerous husky plushies Macho Man had bought him

- Needs a special sleeping medicine to help him sleep thanks to his years of "alcohol" abuse

- You can find him sleep walking often... its a side effect to the weird special sodas he's drank over the years

- Sleeps in a soft t-shirt and underwear, but sometimes goes shirtless on especially hot nights

Super Macho Man 🇺🇸 🌊

- Often yells in his sleep

- Insists he doesn't need to hold or cuddle with anything or anyone, but deep down he's sleep-touch starved

- Often sleeps the moment he gets home from work and the paparazzi

-Similarly to Mac, his bed is very comfortable, so much so that he sinks into it

- Sleeps in a nautical-themed tank top and large sweatpants

Mr. Sandman 💤 🟢

- Often wears a cucumber masks when he sleeps (which inevitably gets onto his pillows)

- Has a HUGE bed, with a gorgeous dolphin print on it

- Won't ever admit it, but he likes getting buried in a sea (haha punny) of his nautical plush collection when he sleeps

- Goes to bed pretty late, his latest being 1am... when he was partially drunk

- Sleeps in the same thing as Macho Man but minus the fun theming. He's got a spare pair of Kirby theme pajama pants he got from a fan, but never wears it

- Strict bedtime, exact same time as Mac

- Tosses and turns more than you'd think, mainly thinking about Mr. Dream and his own childhood memories

- Like Bald Bull, is also sleep-touch starved

- Often wakes up earlier than his alarm, mainly awoken because he goes to bed so gosh darn early... either that, or his thoughts get too deep

Punch Out!! Boxers as minimum wage fast food workers! 🍔🍟

Because I recently got a job (and got fired) as a crew member at 'four cousins' (iykyk) and I must cope.

Context: The restaurant serves burgers, fries, and milkshakes primarily.

Little Mac 🥊 🟢

- Newbie

- He's actually pretty sweet but quiet most of the time

- Works the register and cleans tables, sometimes helps with food prep: definitely a rising star

- Doc makes sure that he's paid well and fair

- Tries not to interact much with chatty or rude customers

Glass Joe 🇫🇷 🥖

- The newbie that isn't as good.

- His main positions are janitor, register, and washing equipment. One time, he was on the milkshake station and broke the mixing machine.

- Paid the least out of everyone, below the minimum legal wage

- Barely knows what he's doing... gets conflicting advice from all his co-workers

- Cries during his breaks or when he's cleaning the bathrooms

- Got locked in the walk-in fridge... twice.

- Also got his head hit by the walk-in door, thanks to Soda not paying attention.

Von Kaiser 🇩🇪 🔩

- Also a newbie (sorta, he's worked for a few weeks)

- Does register, deals with the most rude customers out of anyone. Sometimes, he does the grill if Hondo is prepping food

- Was brought to tears once by a guy who threw a tantrum over the fact that the burgers can not be cooked any way else except well done.

- His primary skill is food management; he's great at keeping all the food fresh and up to date. Has a knack for labeling

- Would much rather hide away in the back of the house than interact with customers

Disco Kid 🇺🇲 🪩

- Novice, he's been working here for a month

- Deliveries food to the customers whether it be the tables, or the pick-up area.

- Quite joyous, despite the low-pay. He's super friendly, even to rude customers.

- Is extremely friendly with kids; he started bringing little toys to work just to give to children with their meals, despite the manager advising him not to

- His playlist is played over the dining room

- Helped train Joe, was much more friendly to him than the other co-workers

- The only one not complaining about sore legs (literally HOW? no one knows)

King Hippo 🏝 🦛

- Dishes... he's always washing something. All day. Everyday.

- Even if he's one of the stronger employees, he doesn't help much with handling and storing food in the walk-in.

- If you're lucky, you'll see him take out the trash

- When no one else is with him, he'll tape clean equipment to his body and pretend it's armor. It's the only fun he ever gets.

- Takes the biggest lunch breaks... he ates a lot, and it takes a long time

- Has the easiest day-to-day job out of everyone

- Damn, this is the most I've ever written for King Hippo

Piston Hondo 🇯🇵🍣

- Has worked here for about a year

- One of the main cooks, jumps between the grill, fries, toppings, and milkshake stations

- Works from before opening to after closing, has the most hours out of everyone

- Refuses to miss work, unless the manager tells him to stay home

- Would rather die than to interact with customers

- Forgets to take breaks (boo!! Not healthy :[ )

- Keeps all the cooking stations clean when the other cooks forget to clean them

Bear Hugger 🇨🇦 🐻

- Another cook, he's been here around the same time as when Hondo came

- Also takes big lunch breaks, but people complain about him eating in the lobby

- Sad he can't take his squirrel into work bc of safety reasons

- Instead of wasting unused food by throwing it out, he gives it to the animal (the fresh stuff, not the frozen processed stuff)

- Loudest talker in the kitchen, his voice overpowers the music

- Draws smiley faces in the burgers with ketchup and mustard instead of doing it the right way.

- Grills buns if someone else is doing the grill

- Trying to keep everyone from crying or exploding in fuming anger

Great Tiger 🇮🇳🐅

- The designated, self-appointed home-delivery man. He also does food prep

- Has worked here for 1.5 years

- The fastest worker on the crew.... thanks to his clones, ofc

- Has to remind Hondo to take breaks

- Does whatever tasks Joe forgets to do... and has to clock-in for Joe whenever he forgets to do that

- Speedy service but is a sloppy cook... somehow burnt a milkshake on the grill for a customer who ordered fries and nothing else

- Dozes off a lot due to the work... sometimes it feels like he's in his own little world

- Is the first to clock out when his shift is done. Bro wants out lol

Don Flamenco 🇪🇸 🥀

- Has worked for a year

- Works at the register, the milkshake station, and food prep. Hates prepping meat

- His mood is very flip-floppy, but at his worst, he has the 2nd worse attitude of the crew

- Too diva for his job

- Complains and starts fights with customers that are rude to him

- Got his toupee snatched during a fight... while another patron recorded the altercation.

- Somedays he's all like "omg thank youuu Disco Kid te amo <3" and then other days he's like "SHUT THE FUCK UP JOE, FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF"

- Sits on the tables when taking orders, even though he's not supposed to. Surprisingly, no one has complained...

- Carmen takes his tips when he's done with work, unbeknownst to the rest of the crew

Aran Ryan 🇮🇪 😈

- Used to work there for weeks before getting fired

- Worked a little bit of everything, but was great at washing potatoes and cooking fries

- Had the worst attitude out of everyone

- Fought with everyone... the customers, the manager, and the rest of the crew.

- NEVER let this man work the register... unless a Karen is in the lobby lmao

- Purposely burns food is the customer looks at him funny

- One time, he stole Don's toupee and placed it in a sandwich before serving it to the customers. He got the whole restaurant shut down that day.

- Shocker, the manager fired him...

Soda Popinski 🇷🇺 🍾

- Has worked there the longest

- Works in food prep, but can work the kitchen or the register if the restaurant is short-staffed

- Accidentally assaulted Joe with the walk-in door while talking with Macho Man

- Sometimes, he scares customers with his height whenever he works the register or serves food

- Maintains the soda machine and never let's ANYONE else touch it

- He loves that soda machine a lot; so much so that he'll get the staff drinks before they could use the machine

- Besties with Macho Man

- Tries his best to keep the peace between the staff, especially whenever Macho Man decides to annoy others

Bald Bull 🇹🇷 🐂

- Used to work, but he quit his job on day one

- Yeah just one day of being on the register got him to quit xp

- I don't blame him lol

- Is actually competent at cooking, but he was managed poorly

- Has so much support for minimum wage workers though, and is currently a union supporter.

Super Macho Man 🇺🇸🌊

- The one that doesn't try

- Too busy taking selfies to do anything else

- Laughed and tweeted about Joe getting smacked with the walk-in door

- Complains about his job and his coworkers all the time on social media

- Besties with Soda, even if Soda often annoys him about getting work done

- Somehow gets paid well and gets a lot of breaks

- Has been working for about a year

Mr. Sandman 💤 🟢

- The manager (Mr. Dream is the owner)

- Is just sick and tired of his crew fooling around

- Extremely intimidating towards customers... his glare is enough to shut up even the most persistent entitled customer

- The owner barely pays him

- The only one who isn't cruel to the newbie employees.

Stuff about Mr. Dream! 🌟

Hold onto your seats, some of my hcs are kinda bonkers

- Mr. Dream, at least in my AU, is basically the hyper corporate antagonist

- During the early days of the WVBA, he was Mr. Sandman's trainer ever since Sandy was 12. To really get control over him, Mr. Dream killed Sandy's parents in secret

- Nowadays Mr. Dream is still the CEO and founder of the reckless boxing WVBA.

- None of the boxers like him, except Sandy. Sandman, throughout his life, has been manipulated by Dream to prioritize his career and reputation as a boxer over all aspects of his life, including mental health, social health, etc.

- Strange new add-on, but Mr. Dream does live in the same neighborhood as Don, Carmen and Disco Kid do: In Brooklyn Heights.

- Way back in the day, Mr. Dream used to be a boxer himself and used to be rivals with both the now-retired Pizza Pasted and Doc Louis. But he sucked at boxing (worse than Glass Joe and Gabby Jay), so instead he went into business and started his own corrupt boxing association in his vendetta against boxing.

- He's so rich and profitable that he's somehow erased his disastrous past as a boxer using all his money and influence

- The boxers can't just quit the WVBA because they are all under contracts to stay until fired

- Mr. Dream also secretly killed Rick Bruiser, hoping to also manipulate Nick Bruiser in the same way he manipulated Sandman, but Nick ran away from New York and retired after the whole Gabby Jay incident (read about it in my AU, pinned to my profile!)

- And... yeah. That's my version of Mr. Dream ^^ Again, read my full Punch Out AU for the full Mr. Dream story!
