reminder that adhd medication isn’t a luxury or preference, but a lifesaving medication. a 10 year long study in the usa showed that, when properly medicated, the rate of car crashes people with adhd get into goes down significantly–men’s rate drops by 38%, and women’s by 42%. the med shortage, denial of meds by doctors, rising prices, and war on drugs has killed–with such a car dependent society, not driving frequently isn’t an option, which means we need better healthcare and need it now.

"that doesn't sound sincere- it sounds rehearsed" is one of the most devastating and fucked-up statements you can make to anyone in the neurodivergent/ADHD/Autistic/Schizophrenic/Disordered Personality sphere. yeah bitch it's rehearsed. because i wanted to get it right when i said it

Say it with me folks:
“Eat the rich” means 1%ers and billionaires
middle class is closer to poverty than being a multimillionaire
“The rich” does NOT include children of billionaires (come on we’re at least slightly better than the plagues of Egypt)
Upper middle class children SHOULD NOT feel guilt over having money
Being aware of privilege and using your privilege to help others IS NOT a guilt trip
Constantly feeling guilty helps no one
Billionaires, however, should feel guilty over hoarding wealth.
Upper middle class is NOT rich
Black Lives Matter
Trans rights are human rights

In Whipping Girl, Julia Serano proposes that we drop "passing" as a term. Instead of passing or not passing, we are either correctly gendered or misgendered. This is to de-artificialize our genders, after all, am I a man trying to pass myself off as a woman? Or am I just a woman who cis people, due to their own prejudice, look at and assume is a man? Of course, it is the latter.
She also proposes to change what some call "passing privilege" to "conditional cissexual privilege." This is to emphasize how while passing can be a privilege in many respects, it is also a conditional privilege that is only given to you if you have the luck, effort, and money necessary to be good enough in the eyes of the cis person. One that can be easily revoked if they clock you or discover your trans status in any way.

I fucking hate how social media is becoming so baby proof like YOUR FUCKING TODDLER ISNT MEANT FOR THIS PLACE. SOCIAL MEDIA WAS NEVER MADE FOR PARENTING YOUR CHILD. GROW UP AND BE A PARENT FOR THE KID YOU BROUGHT HERE OMFG
IT WAS NEVER MADE FOR YOU.
Bring your child outside and let them climb a tree. Let them feel the soil breathe and let them hear the sky weep when it rains. Let them know what it feels like to be alive rather than only know what it means to stare at a flashlight and pretend that makes them happy.
and "unalive?" really? at least say "sleeping with the fishies" it's funnier and better /hj.
But seriously, bring back being serious
some points made in a discussion with @skelpiescool
"its SUPPOSED to make you uncomfortable. because its bad"
"you saying unalive takes away from death. saying 🍇 takes away from rape. saying sewerslide tskes away from suicide."
"quit being desensitized. stop being non chalant. feel osmething its what defines u as humam"
so
I feel like it's kinda babying the subject like. Treating it like it's not Actually that serious. If that makes sense. And people get so upset about the word "kill" and they panic and turn it into "unalive" and they even censor "unalive" into "un@l1v3" which is unreadable.
it still makes people uncomfortable anyways because it still has the same meaning in the same sentence and conveys the same story. "🍇" is still talking about rape and "sewerslide" is still bringing up the thought of suicide.
so what's the point.
What's the point in censoring it.
Say fuck
Say piss
Say shit
Say sex
Say kill
Say murder
Say rape
Say suicide
Say death
SAY IT.
SAY THE WORD.
The more you allow mere words be erased the easier it is to let real stories be silenced.

i was hanging out with someone i had just met and i made reference to the fact that i'm a congenital amputee
and they were like "WAIT THAT'S REAL???"
and i was like HUH
and they were like "oh i have poorly managed psychosis and sometimes hallucinate that the people i'm looking at have the wrong amount of body parts. i just assumed i was hallucinating your hand the whole time i was talking to you"
deeply funny interaction of disabilities here lol

The revolution needs you to brush your teeth.
This ask went hard, but you are correct.
The revolution needs you to brush your teeth. Crippling pain and debt from having bad and rotted teeth makes you easier for the oligarchy to control.
The revolution needs you to brush your teeth.

I think I made this exact post before but every few months on social media someone will be like “OMGGGGGG I FOUND BONES BURIED IN MY CELLAR. I JUST CALLED THE COPS.” and the bones are so visibly (weathered) butchered cow bones or small animal bones. Not a single time is it a ‘they could be human…’ incident. Totally not the poster’s fault because I doubt the majority of people know human skeletal anatomy. Were people 120 years ago burying the remains of their barbecue rib dinner in the dirt floor of the cellar to freak people out in the future or something? No, but like, it seems like packing your walls and floors with trash was so common until like 30 years ago.
