💤🌙 Dream Symbolism: Blood 🌙💤
The presence of blood in a dream or nightmare may be alarming to some dreamers, but the presence of blood in a dream can be a positive sign, depending on the circumstances.
🔴 Blood is a symbol of life and often a person’s life force. When dreaming about one’s own blood, it often represents topics of importance at the moment. When a dreamer’s blood creates a stain or portrays a message, the unconscious mind is illustrating that the thing the message or object the stain is on is significant in the dreamer’s life at the moment. The subjects indicated by these images often have to do with projects that the dreamer has put a lot of effort into. These things should be given the proper attention in the dreamer’s waking life.
🔴 The blood of other people within a dream often represents their emotions. If another person is bleeding, they are likely in emotional pain and if they are bleeding to death this signifies the loss of will and passion for life.
🔴 Images of blood coming from non-human or non-living objects or places is often an indication of emotional turmoil in the dreamer’s life and possibly the presence of ongoing interpersonal confrontations.
🔴 Blood on walls or ceilings are often a sign of behaviors or situations that the dreamer may be struggling with. Pay attention to what room the walls of ceiling are in. For example, blood dreamt of on the walls of a bedroom can be an indication of relationship stress. These images of blood are considered a warning, while blood on a floor is an indication of damage already done that may have been overlooked by the dreamer.
🔴 Blood stains on clothing, especially those that refuse to be washed out, often symbolize that the dreamer is experiencing guilt for past mistakes or is trying to remedy those transgressions. Similarly, blood stains on a dreamer’s hands indicate that they feel they have let someone down or failed someone.
🔴 Nose bleeds in dreams are a sign of physical exhaustion from being overworked or from lacking sleep. Blood that is coughed up is a sign of wasted energy or efforts. When the dreamer dreams of drinking blood, it is an indication that they thirst for power or success. Witnessing a river, ocean, or lake of blood is considered a bad omen.
🔴 If there is a blatant lack of blood where there should be blood within a dream, it symbolizes a lack of life or vitality. It can also represent lack of willingness or situations where the dreamer has to act against their emotions. For example, if a person dreams of stabbing a friend or partner and there is no blood from the wounds, they do not wish to hurt the person in real life, but actually wish to care for them.

“There are no mistakes in witchcraft”
Oh really?
How about casting a love spell on someone only to have them become your stalker?
How about performing a ritual for money and not being specific enough so it comes from the inheritance of your father after he has a brutal death via an accident at work?
How about making an invisibility talisman so you can petition the dead in your local cemetery at night without being seen but having it work too well and you get hit by a car on the way back?
How about forgetting to bring your alms to the servitor you created and it bringing poltergeist tier disturbances into your home?
How about using the goetia to acquire something you desperately need last minute and agreeing to give the demon 7 years of your life because you didn’t know how to properly bind and compel it, or that you even had an option to refuse a clearly raw deal and now you’re paying for it in time–a priceless currency?
These scenarios are real. They have happened. Some of them to people I know personally with many successes but also huge regrets. Real magic is not a LARP. Real magic is not a moodboard. It’s not a lifestyle aesthetic. It’s not a game. It is a skill set with very real consequences. Sometimes that includes madness, illness, poverty, and even death.
Maybe some of you should have a good long think.

☀💀A Pretty Big Curse💀☀
Made for an Asshole. A big Asshole. It worked the next day. I wanted this person to feel what they made me feel
Ingredients
—Bayberry (depression)
—Cayenne Pepper (anxiety)
—Chili Powder (discord)
—Dragons Blood (destruction)
—Lemongrass (bitterness)
—Tobacco (potency)
—Pepper (potency)
—A black candle
—A piece of paper with their name (make sure it’s a piece of paper thats big enough to fold in on itself, kind of like an envelope)
So what you do is you take the paper and put it on something that you don’t mind getting wax on. Light the candle near it. Let it burn while you work. Take each ingredient, put your intent into each one, and start covering their name with them. Make sure you let yourself feel what each ingredient means to you as you add them. Get angry. This is what it’s for.
Now you fold the edges of the paper over your ingredients like an envelope. Pour the black wax over it so it’s sealed. You can add sigils or symbols if you want, I personally didn’t.
Now you dispose of it. Throw it away. Flush it down a toilet. Burn it. Do what ever you feel you need to.
Always remember to cleans yourself before and after curses. Before, to make sure you don’t have any influences other than what you want. And after, so you don’t have (super bad) negative energy that can make your life hard. I had to cleanse myself deeply twice.
Happy cursing!

my fave bit of black dog folklore is that in some folklore there is a belief that the first person buried in a cemetery stays there and doesn’t cross over and helps other spirits move on and protects them from evil spirits, now naturally people want to avoid this fate for their loved ones and themselves so they would sometimes bury a dog first and it would return in the shape of a big black dog and protect the newly dead from evil spirits and occasionally the living as well
this kind of spirit is called a church grim

To burn is to transmute: it severs the energetic, the spiritual reality of an object from its physical form. Though the latter is reduced to ash and particle, its power escapes in heat, in light, its spirit thus becoming boundless. Be conscious of what spirits you set free.

more witch tips!
since the post i made a year ago got some notes, i thought i should make a new one with new stuff i've learned
✨ if you find it hard to meditate w/o guidance/music, you dont necessarely have to use guided meditations or "music for meditation" on youtube if you feel they can't help you focus. soundtracks are fine! i usually play Lullaby of Whisperwind from WoW in the background when i need to meditate, and even more so when i need to speak to the Moon
🗨 if you're on tumblr you've probably been part of a fandom once - or you still are. i know some people find pop culture spells tacky. if the pop culture/fandom spells on here arent your thing, try making your own. i've been reading all the Scarlet Witch comics i could find online & in stores not only because i love her, but also because im trying to get as close to essokinesis as possible. pick a character - the one you relate to, or the one who's accomplished something you want - analyze said character, understand them, if they have powers find where they got them from. a romanian proverb says "there's a seed of truth in every story", so characters who got their powers from a demon or from a long time of studying the arts can be taken as inspo.
💥 although most people recommend grounding and meditating before you do anything witchy, i beg to differ. sometimes you have to deal with emergencies or sometimes youre at a point where you have to act immediately or you lose. take your negative emotions, the jealousy, the disappointment, the desperation - whatever you have. turn it into raw energy. use accordingly. i suggest manifestation spells, wishing spells, or binding.
this doesnt mean you have to stop grounding, meditating or planning. its just what i do when im in a desperate situation.
🕵 if you have a certain goal in mind, make a plan. seriously. combine the mundane ways with witchcraft, do everything you can. if you have a good plan and you take action, you shouldnt find yourself in a desperate situation at all. depending on your intentions, plan according to the Moon phases, the planets positions, the time and date (if you feel you have to), the seasons, the Wheel of the Year, and so on.
💤 if for whatever reason you need to cast a spell on someone, whatever type of spell and whatever your intentions, you usually get better results if you cast it while they're asleep.
🎴 if theres something big youve been trying to achieve using both mundane and witchy ways, dont tell a soul. youre wasting energy and intent telling someone else, even if its someone who loves you, someone you trust. if its something big, they may believe you wont succeed. that might interfere with your efforts. not to mention how most people change when they see others, even close ones, succeeding. they might as well try and keep you from your goals or take it from you. work hard, dont tell a soul, dont vent to others - if you need to vent use a diary or something similar. no matter how close you are to someone, you never know someones true intentions.
👁🗨 use full names when you want to curse someone or cast any type of spells on and print their facebook profile picture if you dont have any other taglock. if your curse/spell contains physical stuff (like ashes, screws, whatever) get that away from you as soon as possible. find their address, find their schedule, drop those things in front of their house/block when no one who could recognize you is there. be mindful of the neighbours.
💌 you've probably heard of those "write a letter you cannot send" tips for healing. basically do this but charge with intent. command or ask for forgiveness, curse, bless, whatever floats your boat, im not here to judge im here to help
📿 when choosing a pendulum, at first we might tend to choose crystals for psychic abilities, when we should use the crystal/gem most suitable to us. i bought an amethyst pendulum, and it wouldnt answer my questions even though ive calibrated it multiple times. after weeks of trying to figure out why it wasnt working, it occured to me that amethyst is pretty much calm, balanced, patient - which im not, so i bought an onyx pendulum and it helped me a lot.
thats all for now, i guess

The Drowned Curse
Please note the following:
-This curse is NOT meant to send the intended to a watery grave. -Please BE CAREFUL when messing around near/in dark water. You yourself do not want to meet the same fate as this poppet. -This is a strong curse, and you need to be serious about this if you are to attempt it.
You will need: -A handmade poppet -A big rock
The poppet: -Make your poppet out of environmentally safe material. I would use drift wood, hay/grass, kelp/seaweed, etc. -All the while you are making it keep the intended in mind, and pour all of your negative feelings towards them into the poppet. -Attach/embed something to the poppet that connects it to the intended. (Hair, nail clippings, a seashell with their name written on it…)(Again, attach while keeping the environment in mind) -You can add your own flavor to this as well. Sigils and minor curses can be written all over this poppet if you want.
Using hay, vines, seaweed or other safe materials, attach your poppet to the rock. Make sure it’s secure!
Next you need to find some dark water. (As a sea witch I would dump this thing in the ocean, but if you don’t have that available a pond/lake will do the trick.)
Go to a wharf, or the shoreline, or out in a boat if you have to. Hold the poppet and rock close to your chest and stare into the darkness of the water. It would be at this point you should speak if you wish, but most of my curses are fueled by raw emotion, so I have no chant or spell for you at this time.
Picture the intended in your mind and drop the rock into the water and watch as it carries the poppet down with it. The deeper the water the better, because the pressure is meant to symbolize the weight of the world crushing the intended with all sorts of problems!
If you can it is a good idea to remain for a short time and meditate or contemplate the curse and what you’d like to come of it.
Sorry, but if the poppet immediately let’s go of the rock and floats back up to the surface, you’ve failed, and you’ll have to do it all over again.

Since I posted the dandelion oil tutorial I’ve been getting lots of questions about its properties and what you can do with it…
The answer is lots of things! Here are some ideas:
Dandelion Lotion Bars
Dandelion Salve
Dandelion & Plantain Chapped Lips Treatment
Dandelion Scrub Bar Soap
Dandelion Magnesium Lotion
•
Dandelion flowers can also be used to make vinegar, traditional Scandinavian dandelion syrup, soap, tea, a tincture, infused honey, and even cupcakes and bath bombs!

Waters
Hello darlings! Today I really want to talk about magical waters. I’ll start with simple waters, then one ingredient waters, and then composite waters. Waters is pretty much anything like water that is used magically, so it ranges from storm water to tobacco and damiana tincture, and other stuff. Any of these can be collected whenever is convenient, but I added the time to collect them to make them more potent.
Natural Waters
Rain Water:
Rain water can be used for any spell to make it more potent, but it is a useful tool in peace magic, to quell anger, to relax, and for dream magic. Collect whenever you want.
Storm Water:
Storm water can be either protective or offensive. Use it to wash down your doors to protect you from hexes, and wash your tools with it to amplify their power. You can use it in any hexes or curses you want. To amplify it, add rusty nails to it and let turn rusty. Collect on a waxing gibbous moon.
Swamp Water:
Can be used in works for binding, hexing, or cloaking. Use when wanting to cause illness. Annoint yourself with swamp water to make yourself unnoticeable to others. Colelct on the dark moon (second new moon of the month) or on the new moon.
Marsh Water:
Marsh water is almost the same as swamp water, but it is more suitable for cloaking than other things. It can also be used for cleansing negative energies. Colelct on waning crescent moon.
Hail Water:
Hail water is melted hailstones. Use it for protection or hexing. Similar to storm water, but more aggressive. Use when you want to break sojmeone, or when you wish to cause physical harm. Collect during a full moon for best results.
Salt Water:
Salt water can be used for cleansing and protection from negativity. Simply add salt to water.
Sea Water:
Use sea water in works involving the psyche, or in hexing. It can also be used for cleansing. I use it to work with demonic forces as well. Collect on a new moon.
Lake Water:
Lake water is amazing in works concerning emotions, love, memories, or past life regressions. Boil it and drink it to enhance attempts for past life regressions. Collect on waxing moon.
Pond Water:
Use when wanting to bind someone, or to limit their horizons. Keep a flower vase with pond water in it on a table to silence a conversation to those not sitting at it. Collect on a dark moon.
Spring Water:
Spring water is super versatile. Use it instead of tap water.
Dew:
Dew can allow the witch to cast powerful glamours for beauty and youth. It is an important ingredient in love potions. Collect at sunrise during a waxing or full moon.
Self Water:
Fancy word for spit or urine. This one is a little nasty, but it is to be used whenever a spell needs to be tied to the caster.
Simples
Sun Water:
Bask any sort of water in the sun for a full day. Use it for cleansing, to bring positivity into a space, or for glamours of youth.
Moon Water:
Used to power up any spell. Let water sit in the light of a full moon for a full night.
Tobacco Water:
Steep tobacco into water for a week in the fridge. When strained, mix with 100 proof vodka, about 1.5 parts water for 1 part vodka. Use it to cleanse or to offer to spirits when working with them. Can be used to cause addiction in a person.
Saffron Water:
Steep saffron into water and mix 1 part water with 1 part vodka. Use to raise winds by sprinkling it in the air, or rub on your lips before whistling and raising storms.
Rose Water:
Use for love, glamours, and beauty. Steep fresh rose petals in vodka for a period of 4 weeks, and then extract all the liquid from the petals by pressing them until they have lost their color. Cut with 0.5 part water.
Orange Blossom Water:
Use for joy, beauty, cleansing, and sunshine. Prepare in the same way as the rose water.
Lilac Water:
Use lilac water for sleep, dream magic, spirit work, and cleansing. Prepare in the same way you would prepare the other flower waters.
Apple Blossom Water:
Create this by the same manner as the three flower waters above. Use for protection, love, and beauty.
Holly Water:
Holly water is to be used to protect your family. It will prick at intruders, or unwelcomed guests. It will also allow you to always have knoledge of the safety of your family. Simply steep holly leaves in water and mix with vodka. Do not ingest this, as it is poisonous.
Composites
All Bite no Bark Water:
A powerful water used for protection of a space. Mix together storm water, hair of a black dog, dirt of a grave, the ashes of psalm 7, rose thorns, teeth of a canidae, and three holly berries. Pour around a room which you wish to protect, or water protective plants to give their produce an aggressive kick. This water will protect a space with the ferocity of a rabid dog, and will not warn before attacking.
Fiery Wall of Protection Water:
Mix together sun water with three hot peppers, red brick dust, pottasium nitrate (saltpeter), sulfur, and blackthorn pricks. Another like the above, but more passive. Attacker might suffer a rash after encountering it.
Pitch Water:
Use pitch water to stop someone from making any progress. Mix together water from a swamp, gum arabic or acacia, charcoal dust, and chapparal. It can also be used to dissorient. Fair warning, this water is hella sticky.
Fuck Off Water:
Mix together sumac, apple seeds, thorns of a blackberry, cloves and storm water. Use it to repel unwanted people.
Goodbye Lover Water:
Mix together sea water, sumac, cloves, poppy seeds, thorns of a cactus, petals of a hibiscus flower, and saltpeter. Use it to get rid of unwanted courters or lovers, or to make two people break up.
I hope you guys find this useful! Make sure to be careful with any of the potentially dangerous ingredients listed, and put these to good use! Good luck my darlings.

How Magic Works
These are just some of many different theories about how spells work. For anybody who really enjoys “magical theory” like I do or is looking for validation that there’s something to all these weird spells! None of these serve to discredit magic, but rather add a deeper level of understanding to it. The success of a spell could be credited to more than one of these, or something else entirely!
Law of Attraction. Basically, the idea that you attract what you focus on. A popular example is focusing on the color red, and seeing how much red is around you that you didn’t notice before. This is most effective for spells involving personal matters and success, by formally opening your eyes to details and opportunities you may have missed otherwise.
The Placebo Effect. It’s a proven fact that our bodies can heal ourselves merely by belief that what we’re doing helps! This can extend beyond health spells to things like confidence, performance ability, and other things that aim at personal improvement. The placebo effect may be all that spell needs to be successful ( and it wouldn’t have happened without the spell!)
Direct cause/effect. Something about the spell and the way it was cast directly affects the outcome. Example: a sigil designed for protection, when looked at, serves as a constant visual reminder that you are protected, subconsciously strengthening your wards.
Science/chemistry. This is most true for kitchen witchery and herbalism. Chamomile, lavender, and other herbs aren’t corresponded with calmness and sleep for nothing… they’re made up of chemicals that have been scientifically proven to calm the nerves and aid in sleep!
Quantum physics. There’s a phrase called “Quantum Woo,” where people use quantum physics (often incorrectly) to explain any type of magical thinking or practice. While the ultimate theory behind quantum physics was recently disproven, the discoveries made through research still hold true. Basically, we know particles behave differently when observed, and our energies can effect this. We just don’t know why that is. This is the baseline behind a lot of energy work.
Divine string pulling. Ask and ye shall receive. This is where we depart from the physical to the spiritual side of magic. Many people do magic by appealing to divine forces, Mother Earth, God(s), the Universe, whatever you want to call it. This could be with an offering, a ceremony, or even just bedside prayer. The divine force hears the request, and grants it by affecting change and “pulling strings” to cause the desired outcome.
Spiritual string pulling. Very similar to the previous point, but with entities that are not worshipped or seen as divine. Many believe that spirits can still affect change “behind the scenes.” A spirit worker may make a deal with a spirit for luck or protection, or someone may ask their ancestors for good fortune and health.
Personal string pulling. Instead of asking an outside entity, this is the idea that we, as the practitioner, pull the strings. This is most seen through the “cone of energy” method of casting, where we raise a lot of concentrated energy and intent in a space, then release it all at once to do its thing. You also see it with sympathetic magic, where by doing something to a poppet, we actively affect that change on the target. No middle man included.

probably the most important thing i know about witchcraft
ASSOCIATION. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. YOU DONT HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING BY THE BOOK (OR TUMBLR POST). HEAR ME THE FUCK OUT.
i dont know how to explain the concept but heres an example.
lets say you want some money/luck. and you find a spell in a grimoire/on tumblr/ (or someone gives you a luck spell) that requires a green candle.
if you associate green with luck or money, then wohoo its gonna work!!!! but if by any chance you associate green with sickness, fatigue, or overall green reminds you of something else other than luck and money, your spell is most likely not gonna be successful.
another example. lets say that for whatever reason you need a love spell. and you find one that requires a red candle.
if you associate red with passion, love then good for you!! but if red reminds you of anger, fury, or overall it doesnt give you lovely vibes, then its most likely not gonna work.
last example. you wanna blast/sing a song while doing a spell for happiness. the song is about happiness. however, you have bitter memories with said song/it makes you sad/it reminds you of something unpleasant. blasting said song would pretty much interfere with the spell and meddle with the results.
this doesnt limit to colors, candles, and songs, but you get the idea. thank you for your time.
