there's no such thing as a medicaid freeloader. everyone needs healthcare. it does not matter if you don't believe someone has a valid reason to not be working or in school- they are still a human being and human beings need healthcare. even if someone IS this strawman ""just lazy"" unemployed person, they deserve healthcare. sorry but i do not believe that the right to medical treatment without financial ruin is predicated on someone's "usefulness" to society. it's depressing that this is apparently too radical a belief.

(USA) THE DEA IS TRYING TO PROHIBIT TELEHEALTH PRESCRIPTIONS OF CONTROLLED MEDICATION. COMMENTS ARE OPEN UNTIL 11:59 PM EST 03/18/25
Hi guys, I'm a rural trans man who relies on telehealth for my HRT (folxhealth). The DEA proposed a law that would prohibit patients from receiving prescriptions of controlled meds (Testosterone, Adderall, and many more) through telehealth without having seen their doctor in person. This has a massive effect on so many people, but in my personal case, it means I will likely have to drive hours to receive gender affirming care.
Here is a link with more background information.
To get to the point: the DEA is accepting public comments on this proposal until 11:59 PM EST tonight, 03/18/25. You can leave anonymous messages of any length.
HERE IS THE LINK TO LEAVE A COMMENT ON THE PROPOSAL!
Please consider leaving a message with your opinion. I've been waiting for them to try this since election day, and I truly can't say how big an impact this thing would have on my life, and the lives of so many people nationwide.
