Day 6. Day 6. Day 6 of marcaniel Week. And the prompts today were Sun Heart and Rain Peircer or Band AU.

Anyone who knows me knows I hate drawing detailed armour so Band AU was more appealing, but I just couldn't see that type of AU working with the lads.

Then it hit me.

I've been to Take That concerts. I've seen their songs performed live on incredible stages and sets.

And that was the answer.

Set designers Marc and Nathaniel whom both help out with backstage stuff (stage hands) and maybe Marc is also a Co-Lyricist.

They communicate the song sets to make sure stages reflect their songs well, lest you end up with a set that let's down the songs. And while the head costume designer and a choreographer have their will they won't they story front and center, these 2 are chilling with a not-too-slow-but-slow-enough slow burn in the wings. Lol.

...hi! Welcome back to Marcaniel Week Day 5! Today's prompts were First Date or Future.

I wasn't a big fan of either prompt, mostly cus I wasn't too sure how to do it.

But then it hit me.

The singular word future can gave many interpretations.

FUTURISTIC SCI-FI MIGIC AU STUFF GO BRRRRRRRRR

.. no I actually have no lore for this. Just Miraculous but set in, likem 2500 and the Miraculous have recived a few upgrades in their magic and mechanical capabilities of the years. Kwamis come with a big mechanical monsters setting and still grant their power to people to be superheroes and control the magic. Just now you can actually physically talk to the Kwami. Think of it as Miraculous meets Pokemon meets Pacific Rim meets Power Rangers meets Transformers.

Marcaniel Week Day 4 and today is the free day! So I just get to do anything!

I must give credit to the amazing @lonleyzodiac and @kisilinramblings for their contributions to this drawing, with Kisilin giving actual ideas thank you so much friend, and Zo for putting up with cursed knowledge of pokemon sizes.

.... oh year its a pokemon AU.

Because why not. Imma explain each team as well as pokemon that aren't on the team, just there. Teams under the cut.

Nathaniels Team

Ampharos: I needed something for the Caprikid reference (goat/sheep) and since Ampharos evolves from a Mareep, a sheep... I say its close enough and fair game. I was gonna pick Gogoat, but at the suggestion of the typing change, I decided to swap it out. Plus, mega evolution.

Vaporeon: cus I really wanted to give them Eeveelutions that fit their typing matchups and Vaporeon felt the best to fit Naths team and mirror to Marcs Flareon.

Emolga: I wanted a pokemon with minimal colours now and it was between Emolga and Zebstrika. Since Emolga is in the Kalos dex, I chose it.

Masquerain: I wanted to give them both an even spread of their types, so i wanted even split of Electric to Water types for Nathaniel, but not alot fit him. Masquerain evolves from a water type tho so... close enough? I guess? Plus intimidate.

Scizor: I wanted a steel type to reference the peircer side in rain peircer. I was considering giving Scizor the mega stone too, but it would of imbalanced the teams power a bit and also Mega scizor lore made me sad so no.

Marc's Team

Blazekin: it is literally the only chicken pokemon I had no other options! He gets a Megastone too btw, to balance out Nathaniel and Mrga Ampharos so.... yeah.

Flareon: literally the exact same reason as Nathaniels Vaporeon just flipped. Mirrors Vaporeon well and fits the team types of Grass and Fire.

Cherrim: The cuteness and its affiliation with the sun by changing forms in the sunlight made sense to me. It fit Marc's vibe you know. Mirrors the character development.

Roserade: it sort of partners with the Masquerain as the reference to hero masks i guess? Also its pretty, but sassy. It feels... fitting? I guess?

Ribombee: HEAR ME OUT! ... Marc and Zoe have friendship ribombees. They both have them. Also, I wanted a pokemon to reference the Heart in SunHeart and Fairy type felt fitting.

Other pokemon

Shiny Smeargle: Belongs to Nathaniel, but it doesn't tend to fight, just sort of exists. And if I didn't have a reference to the fact Nathaniel does art through the literal art pokemon, I'd be remis. Plus Evillustrator reference too I guess. Fun fact, did you know Smeargle normal and shiny colours swapped in Gen 3? In Gen 2, it was Gold with a red tail while it's shiny was green. Just a fun fact!

Shuppet: ok hear me out again. There's no ink or writer pokemon so I didn't really have a way to reflect Nathaniels Smeargle with a writer pokemon for Marc so it doesnt quite work in that context. But if we took Smeargle as a reference to Evillustrator, giving Marc a pokemon that can either the move Role Play (copy pokemons ability) or Skill Swap (swap pokemons ability with their own) seems fitting enough.

Doublade: neither of them actually own Doublade. It just insists on following them. If they were to ever start a pokemon gym, it would probably stand guard, along with.

Morelull: it's here for vibes. Plus my friend Zo and I had thus dumb idea that it just likes making Nathaniel Sleep when it's bored. Again, neither of them catch it. It just follows them like a lost puppy. Or... mushroom.

The Miniors: ... I just wanted to add the miniors. Probably in a box/chilling somewhere, but owned by each lad. (Marc gas tge Blue one, Nathaniel has the green one (they match eachothers eyes))

The Vivillions: I have had this stupid idea of 2 Vivilloins for these 2 since the start. One with a marine pattern, one eith a sun patters. One with silver powder, one with a sharp beak. One shiny, one normal. Once again, probably chilling in a box, but definetly on early team.

And I'm done! Great! Now to work on day 5! (Looks at prompt list)... oh no.

We have reached day 3! And today's prompts were Traitor AU or Soulmates.

So, me being me, I obviously picked soulmates cus it's cute!

... what? I can be nice. :).

Anyways, I went with a "soulmates have a matching mark on them" type of idea cus it felt fitting. However, to accommodate these marks, I needed to change up the outfits so Nathaniel gets short sleeves and Marc gets a sort of... crop top? Binder? Sports top? Uh.... something, and additional ink stains cus I felt like it.

Soooooo..... yep, I'm done. See y'all tomorrow! I have a good one for tomorrow!

Marcaniel Week continues with day 2! The options were Re-Verse and Ice Skating and, while reverse was probably a more interesting idea...

I've been ice skating once or twice before. It's fun! Pretty cold in the rink so warmer clothes are recommended, hence the fits I gave them (including the dreaded purple trousers haha suffer), and the rental skates I remember are made of plastic and look like the ones I drew but less colourful. That's just a lil bit of extra flair to make it somewhat pretty. :D.

Also, i say ive been ice skating, but I was not very good. Clung to the wall the entier time I was there. And these idiots definitely don't skate much better than me. Alix has probably dragged Nathaniel out on her rollerskating endeavours so he probably knows how to not fall over when standing in rollerskates, plus using the Goat miraculous has improved his balance a bit... but it's not all that much helpful here.

And Marc can laugh now, but the second he lets go of that wall, he's on the floor with Nathaniel.

Welp, I now have a short backlog so I'll definitely see yall tomorrow for day 3! Byyyyeeee!

Day 1 is Kwami Swap or Hurt comfort and I decided Kwami swap for my prompt.

Remember my plight of trying to draw a kwami swap and Nathaniel looking like an emo DnD wizard?

NathMarc pokemon team progress update

Thank you @kisilinramblings for these ideas, they have very much made an impact! Super helpful!

And thank you @lonleyzodiac for putting up with my struggles despite not having the skill set to help. I don't have the skill set to help myself either.

Anyways, the progress!

The 2 Vivillion, Smeargle and Blaziken have stayed the same for now

Morpeko is on the cusp of getting booted due to typing overlap, but could stay if I play my cards right.

Gogoat has been swapped out for an Ampharos cus I felt like it (it also fit better with the types suggested)

They have been given a Flareon and Vaporeon respectively

I've also added a Roserade to the drawing

I'm considering adding in 2 miniors to the drawing that match their eye colours, cus cute.

I'm also trying to choose between an Emolga and Zebstrika so input for that would be fantastic (Emolga is in the gen 6 dex while Zebstrika isn't, but Zebstrika is so flipping cool im sure I can find lore reasons to add it)

Now I'm looking for one more grass type and one more water type. Preferably a colourful grass type and a less colourful water type.

I'm also considering having the Miniors and Vivilloins be less in the team and just sort of there as cute additions cus why not so who knows! Maybe I can fit a Fairy type and Steel type respectively for each of them. Still trying to stick to the gen 6 dex, but, as stated, I am willing to branch out.

... oh also, WHY MUST KARTANA BE AN ULTRA BEAST YOU ALMOST PERFECT LIL SPECIMEN!

I don't want to use ultra beasts and stuff like them (paradoxes, mythicals and legendaries) cus it doesn't make sense to me. I wanna stick to the simple stuff, you know. Like eevee.

Anyways... any ideas from others for a few pokemon would be mega appreciated! I am very willing to swap a few mons out if necessary!

(Crawls up out of the earth) ... anyone got any ideas of NathMarc themed Pokemon teams? I'm have some bits and bobs, but im still missing a few things and so I'm looking for ideas.

I currently have

A Vivillion each (Marine pattern for Nathaniel and Sun pattern for Marc)

Gogoat and Smeargle for Nathaniel

Blazekin and Morpeko for Marc

And maybe any of the Aegislash line for one of them? Doublade or something?

I also wanna stick as much as I can to the Kalos pokedex, any pokemon currently confirmed for Legends ZA, and pokemon that gained his mega evolution in Gen 6 (XY/ORAS). However, im not fully confining myself to this rule and I will accept any ideas for any pokemon because it's just gonna be a drawing, not a whole thing, I just want to fit them (because Alix would get a Grafaiai even if its the last thing i do). I'm also not fussed on typing.

So uh... if you have and propaganda you want to drop my way please feel free to yell!

Sorry. But I actually didn't choose this. I asked a friend of mine from University, specifically one who DISPISES Miraculous, and she said "whichever one causes the most chaos." ... which didn't help so she picked Nathaniel 2 minutes later. THANKS BUDDY!

So you can't even blame me! Blame her! Not Zo, not me, her.

Anyways, here we are, time to give yall the food you want! Here is the current run down of

The Cataclysm Incident AU

The full plot of this AU so far can be found below, the plot is not set in stone and can be changed at any point due to any reason. Ok long post incoming here we go!

In this a loosly Civil war based AU, the truth has been spilled, yada yada ladybugs a liar, and now the Heroes are arguing about Ladybugs reliability and if there is a good reason for all this lying.

Chat is particularly pissed because A, his dad wasn't the hero that he was made out to be and has recived praise for nothing, B, Ladybug lied about it because it was his desire even though hecdidnt deserve it, and C, She didn't even tell Chat noir, her day one partner to defeat Hawkmoth

As the heroes are arguing, Rooster Bold says something trying to calm everyone down. Look, he's just trying to help ok. A few other heroes are also trying to calm tensions, it's just Bold has to be the catalyst here for the AU to work just trust me on this.

The wording pisses of Chat for some reason, I'm not 100% sure on what is said and why it angers Chat so feel free to make it work, and he attacks him, not realising Cataclysm is active. AND YES HE CAN DO THIS! HE DOES THIS IN CHAT BLANC HE JUST CATCHES HIMSELF BEFORE HE CATACLYSMS HAWKMOTH! BUT HERE HE DOESNT REALISE ITS HAPPENED! .... anyways.

Caprikid, being the impulsive idiot he is (affectionate), rushes forward and uses his paintbrush to throw Chat off aim. When trying to lift his Brush to complete block the actual attack, however, he's a little too slow and ends up taking the blow to the chest, as seen in the image above.

Ladybug, quietly from the crowd, summons a lucky charm knowing its the one chance they have to reverse this cus this just got extremely serious. What the item is us up for interpretation, its just needed to fix this mess in a bit.

Rooster Bold catches and holds onto the now injured and detransformed Nathaniel (because screw you my headcanon is Cataclysm can potentially rip through a hero outfit and force a detransformation).

Nathaniel is currently in a bit of shock, proccessing this right now, and Ziggy, who is now very tired, just lays in his hands while he holds her close.

Chat, meanwhile, realises what he's done and regrets it immediately. He didn't even know Cataclysm had activated. He only intended to hit Rooster Bold, not try to kill him. He doesn't know what came over him.

However, when trying to offer support, Rooster Bold threatens Chat with the sharp nib of the pen as "back off you just hurt him so youre a threat right now" type reaction. He is not happy. He's angry. Not just that Chat tried to hurt him, but hurt Caprikid.

Nathaniel, not wanting this to escalate further, headbutts Rooster Bold lightly on the chest to calm him . Get his attention off of everyone. It works, but Bold doesnt drop his guard. Rooster Bold quickly flicks the pen back into the holder, scoops up Nathaniel and legs it out of sight, making sure the firming crowd of civilians can't get a glimps of Nathaniels face.

And, of course, the heroes are left to process this. Ladybug tells them they can continue this argument another time because there are way more important things going on right now and they just dont have time for this right now and runs to catch up with Rooster Bold and Nathaniel.

Thustly, things end with the team more muddled and messy than before, some torn between hearing out things, sone torn between hatred in both actions. The heroes just really don't know how they should be feeling right now.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel is now in pain while Rooster Bold is trying so so hard to find a power that he can use to help Nathaniel. He calls Ladybug, gives their location, and she calms him, giving him an idea of what he can do. The power to numb the area of injury of anyone he touches.

Ladybug gets there and she asks how Nath is doing and Rooster Bold asks her to please hurry up with the miracle cure. After hesitating and getting a little bit scolded, she uses the miracle cure.

Bold, finally assured Nathaniel will live, detransforms and relaxes.

Orriko, after quickly checking on Ziggy, gives them a quick exposition dump that the injury may have been physically fixed with newly created cells to stop the necrosis of Cataclysm, but the pain will linger for a while due to the fact that the kadybug isnt a healing miraculous, its a creation one. It created new cells to fux the necrosis and injury, but the pain will linger for a good while considering the pure destructive power of Cataclysm. Nathaniel is gonna be out of commission for atleast a while.

Ladybug says both of them are off hero duty for the time being, so they can recover physically and mentaly respectfully, but are to keep their miraculous to care for the kwamis and eachother. She sees that as a decent enough course of action. She's not doing great herself honestly. Ladybug is tired of this shit and having mental breakdown number 4954, but sge can express that when she is back home.

Adrien is akso having a mental breakdown because he just nearly killed his friend and isincredibly guilty.

Bunnyx saw everything and is a bit sad now. She will pop in to check up on her best bud tho.

And Luka missed everything and saw it on the news, got a lore dump from Sass, and has made phone calls to try and get the full story (Juleka ranted about everything to him, He caught Marinette mid panic attack, and got Adrien to atleast stop fully blaming himself for this and to blame multiple factors)

Oh also this is also without mentioning that school is now extra tense cus the heroes all know who Caprikid is, deduced who Rooster Bold is, and now everyone's scared to talk about this so the tension at school just sky rocketed.

Um.... if anyone has any ideas on how to make this better (changes are fully welcome i will magpie them and credit you!), or if you want to add their own headcanons, or write your own Fics with this concept, let me know! I'd love to hear about it!

Anyways, I'm gonna go hide for a while, have a bonus of Rooster Bold threatening Chat Noir!

About the interactions between Kim, Marc and Nathaniel, I have some ideas!! I really wish write something to explore the dynamics of the boys group, something like a "Partycrasher 2.0", with the boys taking Adrien to shopping new clothes and change his look!! It would be an interesting situation to see the group's friendship dynamics!(and also to see a change of look for Adrien... All the characters got new clothes and accessories, why does he have to be excluded?). But I'm currently shelving that idea because I'm already writing a medium-length Marcaniel fanfic to create a illustration book for my artist portfolio, a 4-chapter script about "unshown scenes from the episode The Ruler", so I won't be writing or drawing anything beyond that until the end of July😅(hopefully)

Anyway, I'm going to share some points here that I think about Marcaniel and Kim's dynamic!! I hope you like it and forgive any writing mistakes, English is not my first language!!

(and if there is something written in Portuguese in the middle of English, please let me know so I can fix it!! My computer sometimes translates texts into my native language automatically and I'm afraid I may have missed a sentence among the corrections)

My little thoughts on Nath, Marc and Kim's friendship!!

(don't know what to name this, lol)

The first time Kim's dads saw Marc and Nath was at the Heroes' Day picnic.The boys were smiling at each other and talking shyly as Nathaniel showed what he had just drawn.One of the parents asks Kim if the "redhead" and the "noiret" were dating. He says no, they were just friends and comic book partners. The other parent immediately tells Kim to wait a few more months, they would soon be "changing the status of that partnership" , men recognized very well what was written in those looks... but Kim hadn't understood what his dads meant until the day she heard Alix teasing Nathaniel about his crush on Marc. It was from then on that he began to pay a little more attention to the boys, realizing how the little things they did for each other reminded him of the loving couple his parents were and how often, like his dads, the artists received sidelong looks and negative comments disguised as compliments… Kim grew up receiving these negative looks, knowing full well that whoever looked at Marc and Nathaniel's closeness like that would look the same way at his parents… The men always protected each other and their son from anyone who dared to insult their family. Kim just felt the need to do the same with the boys. If his family deserves to be respected, his friends deserve it too and he would make sure no one hurt them.

Kim is not a fan of reading, but he supports Marc and Nathaniel with their comics, always trying to keep up to date with what is happening in the story with each issue that the artists release even without having read the previous one completely. He has his own (and slow) reading pace, He is more of a conversational person than a reader, but he wants to support his friends and goes around recommending and asking about comics to everyone.

Ever since becoming a regular holder of the Monkey Miraculous, Kim has been teasing everyone about how awesome the Monkey King is! He openly shows himself to be the biggest fan of the monkey hero to the point of even trying to convince Marc and Nathaniel to make an exclusive comic about the hero, challenging them to do so over and over again. The boys refused every time, as they were leaving the superhero theme aside, to focus on in his new idea about knights, medieval times and fairy tales, but Marc secretly has a draft of a little one-shot that Nathaniel will illustrate for them to give to Kim for his next birthday. (Don't worry, after months of excitement and fanaticism for receiving your Miraculous, the weight of responsibility fell on Kim's shoulders and he went back to being just a "normal fan").

Kim showed the Sun-heart and Rain-piercer comic to their dads and they loved it! They followed all the volumes excitedly and, just like Marc's parents, they cried with emotion. Especially because Kim asked Marc and Nath to sign and write a special dedication to his parents in the last edition, right below the knights' kiss! The day after the latest issue of Sun-heart and Rain-piercer was released, the men personally accompanied Kim to greet and thank the artists for this comic.

Kim already challenged Nathaniel judging Adrien's clothing style, since the redhead designed clothes for his characters, he must have understood fashion. Nath threw the question to Marc, justifying that he himself didn't know get ready and it was noiret who taught him how to dress up. Drawing is different from dressing someone for real! And so, somehow, between jokes and teasing, the boys decided to take Adrien shopping for new clothes!

I imagine the boys shopping: Marc giving suggestions for clothes and accessories, putting together charming and varied combinations for Adrien, Nath helping him with color combinations and Max calculating the prices and probabilities of the combinations assembled making the blonde more or less attractive for his girlfriend, and Nino and Kim judging them to see whether or not they are doing a good job or not with their bro.

(Don't ask me where Ivan is, I honestly don't know where to put him. He's probably helping Marc hold the clothes or he went out for a moment to buy a brooch or bracelet for Myléne)

In the midst of this clothes party, Kim is paying attention to the strange looks that some others boys give Marc, trying to understand what he is and mentally disapproving the fact that this extravagant and exotic person, and his supposed boyfriend, is giving fashion advice to the son of the late great fashion designer Gabriel Agreste. Kim frowns and grimaces, scaring away anyone who wanted to say anything out loud, especially when Adrien admits to liking the composition that Nath and Marc put together and and the artists hug and kiss in celebration, happy to help.

Sorry bud. I just don't really have much a good idea on how the write it (i havent thought out the entier AU yet lol). I've never been the best writer. It's not really my best art form. TwT

I do, however, have a pretty strong outline of the plot that I plan to post at some point once the poll is decided, so if anyone wants to write something for it they have my permission! (just be sure to tell me so I can see it for myself lol)

And who knows, maybe when I find the time and motivation, I might just write something for it. But I'm just more an illustrator than a writer so no promises lol.
