I'm sorry if this is the first you're hearing of it, but at least six women have come forward to accuse Neil Gaiman of rape, and there's even audio of him /openly admitting to it/ with one of them. It's of course up to you how you participate in fandom, but is it possible not to tag such things with his name? All discussion of what he did is swamped with fanart/quotes & there's a possibility he and his crisis PR team are taking advantage of that & using bots to drown out the voices of the women who were employees & fans.

It is not the first I've heard of it, and it's the very reason I've been tagging that. What has happened to these young women is unquestionably horrid. He'd duped us all. That needs to be known in the event there are people blaming a cancellation of season 3 on Amazon or other entities. I am still very much a Good Omens fan but now no longer a Neil Gaiman fan. This could affect the many, many people who have made the show a gorgeous production, and if it is called off, it needs to be known that it's entirely on Neil Gaiman that these hardworking folks will be out of work. I am not shaming the assault victims for one single second, and I'm also pissed at him in the possibility of his fucking dumbass choices putting people out of work that may already have contracts in place or are currently building sets, finding/creating props, sourcing shooting sites, etc.

I need this too. Very much. GO fanfics kept me sane through the US's nightmare presidency and Covid. Our cat would flop down in the bed with me when I read at night and squeakily snore. I create art things for something to keep my mind focused off of my severe depression.

Good Omens has become so much to so many. It would be shattering to see it all go down the crapper because of one man's shitty, asshat decisions.🖕😠🖕

Missed another con because of my illnesses and I HATE THAT. Wanted to show I tried...quickie pics. I did Steven Universe's Rose Quartz, Sapphire, and Greg in a quasi-regency style. Also this dress form has no head, so imagine there's one?

Sapphire: French hood has reference to her eye and Future Vision. Bangs were made but forgotten for pics. The skirts were floofier, then unfloofed for pics. Both celestial fabrics reflect that the gems came from the stars. Stomacher lacing is wonky because I put a cord through quickly for pics.

I tried here to use as much as I already had. 3 already used dresses I had kicking around to cannibalize, repainting pink shoes, just about all except the two celestial fabrics. Each is light as a feather and moves like liquid. Bumroll underneath in the back, all skirts perfect for not getting overheated. Would've been worn by KirbyKid because xe's worn ALL of the pearls I've made.

Rose (me) was up/down-dated in a similar style and Greg (husband) has the look of a shipwrecked sailor. Cons make me happy and I HATE my stupid crap ruining our being able to go.

And yes, that IS a 1990s elastic "tattoo" choker. I'm old.

AN ODE BLATHERING OUT TO THE ETHER: I am a terrible, horrible person, pissed as hell at NG and have to freely admit:

I am a horrible person because I am devastated about the accusations (at NG's behavior, *ABSOLUTELY NOT* at the victims standing up). The Good Omens fandom got me through the hell of COVID and the nightmare US presidency. I have lifelong organic depression and it's helped me with that. And what a MASTERPIECE of production with flawless acting by David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

Let me back up for a second. I am ***IN NO WAY***victim blaming or victim shaming. There's been writing on the wall, especially with Douglas Mackinnon's announcing he no longer has any association with Good Omens and closed out all of his social medias. But I feel very affronted to the tune of: how dare you, NG. How dare your actions threaten cancellation upon David Tennant, Michael Sheen, and the rest of the cast of very talented actors. And your behavior likely causing season 3 to be completely shitcanned. How dare you cause artists, writers, etc to possibly avoid creating (fanart/fics/cosplays, etc) to avoid a dogpile of cancellation.

(And THANK YOU and your socks, Mr. Sheen, I think we all needed that.😊)

But selfish-est of all from me is sadness knowing I'll never get to see it. Even if production (by some miracle) does get underway anywhere close to the original schedule (possibly with new showrunner and the blessing by Sir Terry Pratchett's estate for the parts he wrote), I'll never get to see it. If it gets off the ground a bit later, I'll still never get to see it. I have MULTIPLE autoimmune illnesses, am physically disabled, have lifelong organic clinical depression, stage 4 nonalcoholic liver cirrhosis, and am also shouldering a severe fungal infection from mold we never knew was in our home. We can't sell or afford to relocate. I'm also in nonalcoholic liver failure, it's a crouton and can't heal itself anymore. The antifungal meds can really kick the shit out of a *healthy* liver. I also have lung damage from COVID with pneumonia and respiratory failure. I don't leave the house much anymore because without a powered wheelchair or scooter, if I get to a store and they're all in use, I'm fucked. Plus not being able to breathe, so mostly everything is ordered now. My 31-year marriage is also on wobbly ground because my husband still leans towards me having Delusional Parasitosis (which is easier to process as a thing than moldy-from-the-inside-out) because he wants to *fix* things. Husband's not the bad guy here. More the frustrated guy. Maybe I could embroider a Frustrated Guy cape.🤔

Anyway. Everyone *ELSE* associated with Good Omens in the past and possible future doesn't deserve to have their career cancelled by association with NG. I wish to the point of tears that Michael Sheen's socks bring reassurance to the production of S3 happening someday and that creating art and fiction and cosplays is still okay.

But not for me. I'm running out of time.

So this is still me, reading glasses, piggybacking on this from earlier this year. Different hair, same shit. Still getting refused treatment by Infectious Disease Specialists who never say why (it's good form to send a letter back saying why the patient was refused).

I honestly don't think my liver's got much more to cough up. Stage 4 non-alcoholic cirrhosis, it can't heal itself anymore. And the (finally!) Medication hasn't done a lot in 5 weeks.

I know to be patient. I'm furious that Dr. Cuntface spread all over my record(s) that I'm delusional, noncompliant, and require no followup. It's all in my head: direct quote. Had a complete psychotic breakdown after seeing her, thinking everything wasn't real. After 3 days I thought "now WAIT a goddamn minute" and I'm STILL in a state of Medical PTSD. My next appointment with the Aspergillus/Penecillium crap is in AUGUST, 1.5 hours away.

It'll be the 10th try. TEN. And don't get me started on my mental health service, me asking directly if they were holding my treatment hostage because of someone making a keyboard error last YEAR??? And they said YES.

There's so much more, and Christ. How do other disabled folx maintain their sanity with this crap?

Bit late to the party, but here's my contribution to Trans Day of Visibility. This was my attempt on Whiteley Foster's "draw this in your style" challenge some time ago. My style being: painted on an 8x10 canvas. Fun fact: flappers would paint flowers on their knees, I tried with Crowley. But that $@#$^%$ing HAND...I had to consult our art major college kiddo more than once. Then xe said "it's a parallelogram" and oh! *headsmack*

So this is me.

If anyone reads this: I am a wheelchair user and have multiple autoimmune conditions and very chronic pain. But since about last October, things have really gone to shit.

My nonalcoholic liver disease is at stage 4 cirrhosis. So if I fall wrong, like I often do, it'll pop like a balloon.

I tried 6 different places because due to my symptoms, it's aspergillus. A fungus that's always around, but much, much worse in excess. We had a severe rodent problem, even with help from our cat, and the rats were 100% the vector. I was refused treatment, or even testing, by multiple practices. Including one doctor splashing "delusional parasitosis" across my records, which were shared around. She gaslit the FUCK out of me.

Then it killed our cat. She also had sinus cancer, which we didn't know about, but the vet wished us the best of luck because aspergillus is a bitch to get rid of in the house.

Then, FINALLY, a provider stuck a q-tip up my nose (was that so damn hard, other asshats?) which came back with aspergillus, penecillium, and e.coli. Went through a MONTH of BS from our insurance to cover the medication. Then, since the medication wasn't working, the practice tried to dump me. Then I ended up in the hospital with Covid AND double pneumonia. While the fungus is still trying to block my nose, ears, and my airway as well. Then I scratched my cornea from a fall, and it's not getting much better.

I've decided to stop with sounding rational and intelligent with doctors, and act like a huge bellend. Because assholes always seem to get ahead, right? I have another attempt in a couple weeks, and if they're not interested, I'm going to ask them where I SHOULD go, then. I'm so tired of 2 showers' worth of scrubbing EVERY DAY to get this crap off my skin. It's gone systemic, but at least my skin can breathe for a while.

Not voting isn’t the same as a boycott. Because you can’t bankrupt a government by not voting. All you get by not voting is less control over what the money is doing.

The money comes from taxes, not voting. Abstaining from voting does nothing to reduce the governments ability to get money and spend it on shit.

So yes, sometimes you vote to reduce harm because not voting WILL NOT REDUCE HARM.

It’s not a boycot. Abstaining doesn’t take power from the government. It just reduces the number of people they feel answerable to.

My husband and I recently ended up with Covid. I just noticed the logo on the test box, made by a company called Quidel. Good Omens season 2 was shot during, and tested daily for, Covid.

Did we find out at some point if this was the logo, something close to it, or did I just stick the testing swab too far up my nose?
