For all the people who are claiming to care about the LGBT+ community but erasing any notion of Oswald (or anyone else) being anything but gay/straight

For all the people who blatantly ignore Robin, disrespect him and his word on his own character, who basically speak as if he’s an idiot who has no idea what he’s talking about….

For all the people who use their sexuality as a shield against their bullying “I’m bisexual so I can say this but anyone who ships Sofwald is homophobic and deserves to literally kill themselves” etc.

For all the people who are posting idiotic videos on instagram writing sofwald/falcobblepot down on a paper and burning it.

I hope you are ashamed of yourselves. Your actions are childish, you are bullies, you are harassing others, reblogging their posts/art to hate on them, stealing their art to deface and mock them, and you are bringing that hostility directly to the actors.

Do you want to know why Robin turned his instagram comments off? It’s not just because the homophobic attitude of people who disagreed with the idea that Oswald had feelings for Edward, it’s also because of people like you.  People who want so badly for their headcanons to be true that anything else is wrong and a betrayal of some sort.

These people are not writing this show for you, they are telling a damn story and if you don’t like that story you damn well better know you don’t have to watch it. Oswald had feelings for Ed, Oswald had a crush on Ed, Oswald was in love with Ed, Ed was canonically THE FIRST person Oswald had those feelings about.  Him being queer takes NOTHING away from that, it’s canon, it’s BEEN canon.

You all seem to think Oswald being queer means he’s “straight”, you think it’s some kind of conspiracy by Fox, that Robin is being held at gun point because he isn’t saying Oswald is gay.

IF OSWALD WAS GAY, THEY WOULD ALL GLADLY SAY HE WAS GAY. But nobody says it, Robin has said the term gay in reference to homophobic bashing, but he never said Oswald was gay.  Wikipedia can be edited by any Tom, Dick or Harry and it isn’t monitored by anyone who works at Gotham’s studio.   He’s a queer character, he is queer, queer is an umbrella for many many many different sexualities.  Ya’ll need to learn that there is more to LGBT+ than gay. Because you’re constantly erasing and vilifying the rest of us.

List of Vocal Sounds for Smut

I present to you a - probably quite incomplete, I’m sure I’m missing a lot of speech sounds - reference list and a bit of a guideline for the different ways one can describe the sounds your characters make whilst writing smut. I’ll definitely be referring to it, because I sometimes get stuck on exactly how to describe a particular noise. (aka, “he can’t groan again, he just groaned last paragraph”)

Sounds (noun, both independently and describing speech): breath/breathe, gasp, moan, groan, pant, whimper, whine, shout, yelp, hiss, grunt, cry, scream, shriek, sob, growl, curse, sound, sigh, hum, noise, squeak, snarl, howl, roar, mewl, wail, choke, keen, purr

Sounds (noun, describing speech): rasp, husk, drawl, plea, murmur, whisper, beg

Descriptors (adjective): loud, hushed, quiet, low, high, high-pitched, little, tiny, soft, deep, unrestrained, restrained, strained, breathy, rough, sudden, short, drawn-out, sharp, harsh, hard, thick, smooth, thin, heavy, impassioned, insistent, hungry, passionate, repeated, filthy, debauched, sweet, slow, deliberate, guttural, languid, surprised, husky, distracted, happy, pleased, satisfied, wordless, cut-off, bitten-off, contented, hoarse, extended, long, depraved, aching, choked, strangled, broken, helpless, shuddering, shaky, trembling, urgent, needy, desperate, wanton, shattered, pained, eager

Combine a descriptor and a sound for best effect - for example, “needy moan,” “pleased hum,” or “sudden scream.” You can even use two: “low, rough grunt,” “sweet little cry,” “desperate, filthy noise,” as long as you don’t repeat a word that means the same thing, unless you really want to emphasize it. Avoiding repetition is pretty key here. You don’t usually want to say “hushed, quiet gasp” except on rare occasions when it’s very important how soft the sound was.

Use your own common sense, as well; some sounds and descriptors don’t generally work well together. “Deliberate shriek” probably wouldn’t work well, and neither would “languid grunt,” but again, this is all very situational - play around! Have fun.

Feel free to add to my lists, use for your reference or pass them around. It would be fun to see a randomized generator made, too, I’m just too lazy to do it myself. ;)

You know what I don’t care if this is controversial Sofia Falcone is sexy, brilliant, and she can fuck any and every man, woman, or villain on Gotham for all I care, she’s the Queen and I’ll scream and point and praise her no matter what (or who, hint hint) she does.

people chastise female characters for the same things they praise male characters for. you say you’re for feminism and yet when a woman is tagged onto a male story arc, you instantly claim hate for her. when a woman tries to save the day, be a part of the story, or when a female starts to have more character development, you call it annoying. what message does it send if we call a woman weird when a man is “quirky” or if a woman is called a bitch and the man is a “cool hard guy” type? you instantly call the first man you see one of your favorites, and yet it takes you more than three seasons to warm up to a female character that has had the same morals and intentions as the male leads. reevaluate how you see female characters, and why it’s different from the male characters you so love. let women have a more respected voice. support female characters because in turn it strengthens and inspires real women.

As much as I adore Nygmobblepot, I don’t give a crap who Gotham decides to ship Oz with. I’m tired of these triggered Tumblrites whining about “MUH HUMAPHOBIA!!” when something doesn’t go their way. Like this is why Gotham seems like they are holding back on the ship, and it’s not just because of the triggered fanboys. A lot of you are way too fucking pushy to the point you want Oz and Ed’s relationship to be unnatural, kind of like a bad fanfic. You people are too fucking obsessed with Oswald’s sexuality that you forget everything thing else about him that makes him, him. At the end of the day, if he gets paired up a woman, good. If he gets paired up with Ed or some other dood, then good. I just want the poor little birdman to find some happiness in some way or another.

And just so you children know, this rant is not coming from a straight person, since you weirdos also love to play the blame game for anyone that isn’t like you guys.
