Design Engineering December Lecture Nick Munro spoke about his journey from an engineer to an artist. In the beginning he was given a metaphorical "kiss" from Dyson... KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid Munro did. He went from egg holder to teapots to utensils 🍴 to hotel things getting more and more fame. Take away point: The most important thing is the next thing. You can't change the past so all you can do is work on the future 😊👌🏻

I was listening to my Project Management professor (Peter Childs) and something that he said really stood out to me. He said that he could prove that there is no such thing as a bad idea 💡. What was his proof? He said four words: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle”. 🐢 The TV series about teenage mutant ninja turtles living in sewers although sounding random is an absolute success.
But this begs me to question, is the idea actually that random? Whether it was random or not, I think that the key was to sell it to children. Children tend to be more imaginative and playful, hence may be more susceptible to out-of-the-world ideas.

Design Engineering Yr 3 Group Project Interim Review video
The task is to design future human-centered protective equipment. My team decided to focus particularly on older people, such as pensioners, and explored how we might be able to protect their independence in the future context.
