It's about giving back! I recently spoke to the amazing soldiers and heroes of 1-327 Infantry (Air Assault ) at Campbell, KY and home of the 101st Airborne Division. The Commander is a personal friend and asked if I'd talk to his battalion about resilience per my book, The Three Points of Contact before they deploy overseas. I jumped at the chance to speak to our heroes! I delivered 51 military presentations at 13 military installations around the world last year. I refuse to accept one penny - 100% courtesy and my giving back to our heroes. The military has millions wrapped into resiliency training with hundreds of paid employees and its a good program. My presentation to combat organizations, Basic Leader Courses (BLC), Senior Leader Course (SLC) and military academies is my unique story and perspective on resiliency in 2019! I get hundreds of messages weekly from soldiers around the world using my principles from my book. My book is offered FREE via e-book at every presentation to every attendee. My return on investment (ROI) is hearing from our service members that me traveling to speak to them helps, book helps, someone to chat with helps! I love our service members and their families. I’m at Ft Bragg, NC working with the amazing soldiers/heroes from the famous 1-508 Airborne and the 82nd Airborne. I was reading the granite names of the soldiers that have lost they’re lives in the past 15 years and become overcome with emotion. 😢 🙏🏽❤️ Serving with these amazing soldiers is the greatest honor in the world and honored my daughter continues to carry the guidon of proving leadership to our country’s heroes! Distant fitness challenges with family and friends. Great way to spice up a workout is with a fitness challenge with a family friend. Do an activity on a piece of equipment, or you can run, do pull-ups, push-ups or any activity. My daughter is a 1sr Lieutenant in United States Army and an US Army Combat Engineer at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Nicole Sent me a note that she did 12 1/2 minutes on the Jacobs ladder and 1000 feet. So I jumped on the Jacobs ladder today for 12 1/2 minutes and excepted the challenge and lost! I did 836 feet, but we both won! had a great time interacting and challenging with my daughter. CRUSH Cancer by running a marathon! 🥊 🏃🏼My Marathon venture started with the Hamburg, Germany Marathon in April 2012. Now 6 years later I just finished my 12th Marathon , the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I started running to beat the cancer deamons in my head from stage III Cancer. I still run daily continued health, next book ideas, meditation, endorphins 🤣, business ideas and prepping for all my speaking engagements in my business GREG CHEEK SPEAKS. None of this happens (Beating Cancer) without running and the help of the Marathon Training Academy( MTA). MTA was with me every step of the way for my 1st half marathon and subsequent 12 marathons. The MTA is a lifelong family! I’ve met so many friends from this site. Yes, the picture attached is with medal 🏅 #12. However, without running this Major life event as I described in my book, Three Points of Contact, of walking my daughter down the aisle doesn’t happen. Without running, Cancer would’ve won. Hello again Cancer! I’m back 🏃🏼 This is Marathon #12 in the past 6 years since you tried to take my life with stage III Cancer. The minute I was diagnosed I thought of all the things I thought I would miss as You violently moved into my body: 1. Walking my oldest daughter down the aisle. 2. My youngest daughter graduate college. 3. My son being successful in the military. 4. Seeing my my grandchild. 5 Writing a book. 6. Starting a business. Every time I run a marathon, you get extremely close for a short time on the day before. I can taste again the vial taste from 8 weeks of massive radiation, the smell of the constant chemo, the nightmares, the reminder that my saliva glands and thyroid are destroyed, my jaw is painful today, my jaw is literally splitting apart from the radiation and my throat is shrinking at a rapid pace. The treatment I needed will likely significantly decrease my life span. All the feelings of my cancer fight surface at the day before the run exposition. However!!! 💪🏽 when I step off tomorrow here in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the start of 26.2 miles and 55,000 steps. You will disappear in the joy of my journey and the reminder that life is short and to enjoy every moment and I’ll file every step of this marathon journey! I returned after a couple days of working with the beautiful people of 🇲🇽 Mexico inbthe areas of resilience? confidence and goal setting. I noticed this quote as I passed through immigration inked in my passport. This quote is directly from page 44 and 45 of my USA passport. IT STATES. “It is immigrants who brought to this land the skills of their hands and brains to make of it a beacon of opportunity and I hope for all man” We have one world, one life, and the ability in the United States of America, as always, to open our arms and except the less fortunate and willing to come to this great land and make a better life for themselves. Let’s try to love each other more and end hate. Love wins and hate loses. All of the amazing people that I have met and not just in Mexico, but as I travel around the world and work with people in the area of confidence, resilience and goalsetting. Everyone just wants a better life. Get away from CNN, CSMBC, And Fox News and go meet people in person. Quit letting the idiot box (media) tell you who is good and who is bad. My mentorship started while I was a Second Lieutenant and selected to be an Aide de Camp for BG McFarlin, COSCOM CDR to VII Corps. We deployed to the Middle East weeks after my son was born. My love for leadership communication started in the sands of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I worked daily for 10 months with All the Generals from both Corps and included daily mentorship with Gen Colin Powell. I’m blessed to give back weekly with military.
