Poppy is so original and unique that it's always a pleasure to draw her! Not only because she's stunning but also because her outfit are a big source of inspiration for creating something fun!

In fact, I recently saw some photos from one of her latest concerts and immediately thought, "Omg, she looks like she came out of an anime!" So I felt the need to draw her as an anime superhero girl!🎀

I'm sure photographers love her because all the photos I see of her are never boring!

I drew these cat girlfriends about a year ago (last pic), I've always loved this concept, so since I didn't like the first version anymore I redrew it!

I also made the tarot version cause everytime I draw a couple that card screams to me to do it!

And I think they fit perfectly, find someone who loves you like these cat ladies love each other‼️🗣

I loved this movie, like everything produced by Wes Anderson! love his surreal way of telling the most intricate stories, not to mention his aesthetics!

And the exact moment I saw a religious figure in a completely different context, I knew I HAD to draw it!

Also, these days I'm full of things to do and there's nothing that puts me in a better mood than taking the bus in the scorching heat and drawing while listening to The Strokes on repeat, it might sounds weird but it makes me feel so good for some reason ahaha!

This is inspired by this specific line from "Last Night on Earth" by Green Day, which is one of my favorite songs! It's so sweet to remember that Billie Joe wrote it for his wife😭🖤

Aside from the sweetness of the song, while I was drawing it I was thinking about how scarily normal and even romanticized the idea of ​​sacrificing yourself for the person you love have become, and I mean sacrificing yourself in the true sense, putting your physical and mental health aside for the sake of someone else that is passed off as just "taking care of your partner"

Do me this favor and never put yourself in these situations, because someone who truly loves you would never allow this!🙏🏼

A "witch" during the Inquisition trying to protect herself!🗡 (And the photo I took to use as a reference)

But maybe she's not really a witch, since there are angels watching over her, maybe she's just a normal Christian peasant

The symbol on her forehead, besides being Bring Me The Horizonn's logo💀, is the unicursal hexagram, used to banish or invoke elemental forces in witchcraft!🔮

I love the concept of desperation that pushes humans to do things they never thought they would do, betraying their promises in a way but without losing faith, like in this case of a believer who tries witchcraft to save herself!

Daaamn I'm yapping so much! But if you're still reading I'll tell you another curiosity: crossing your fingers, which now means hoping for luck, was once used to implore the presence of the Holy Cross! That's why I drew the angels with that hand gesture!

I think this fits every interpretation, maybe she's holding his head after entering the battle too late, maybe they're strangers

To me, they were lovers but she had to kill him for a greater good, you know how they say "love makes you lose your mind!"

I literally couldn't pick a worse (or better) time to draw a dead Pope💀💀

But there's a lore behind it!

This is inspired by the Cadaveric Synod, a process in which Pope Formosus, already dead at the time, was exhumed, dressed in official clothes and tried post mortem📿

The fact is that just as I was drawing it, Pope Francis died :D and then I said "I can't post it now, it wouldn't be very nice" so I waited a bit but some days Leo XIV was elected💀

In any case, it's not intended to have a blasphemous purpose, even though I have a complicated relationship with religion and everything related to it, I do not believe in a Christian God and the more I learn about Christianity, the more I refuse to believe. Perhaps also due to the fact that I grew up in a strongly religious social context, and it always seemed to me that since I was little everything I believed in was imposed on me against my will.

I wanted to use the second pic as a reference but then I saw this specific scene a couple of weeks ago, basically I was driving and on the road there were two ravens fighting, I dogged them but when I got close I noticed that one of them had definitely won and it was eating the other :( and the memory stuck in me and I had to draw it!

The Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is an international, leaderless, decentralized movement that operates without a formal leadership structure and engages in direct actions aimed at opposing animal cruelty.🐇

I was wondering if it could be hypocritical of me to draw something inspired by a movement that saves many animals from farms with terrible conditions, since I'm not vegetarian!

However, I think there is a big difference between eating meat and doing so responsibly, and it should be in everyone's best interest to care about where the food they eat comes from, especially the conditions in which the animals were raised!🙏🏼

Also, there's nothing more badass than holding a bunny while wearing a balaclava✨️

My prompt was "Infected and Goregeous", and I immediately thought of poisonous spiders! I also finally got to draw something inspired by shibari, a Japanese practice and art form that consists of tying a person up using intricate patterns, which I'm very fascinated by!🕸

This is inspired by a specific picture of an Argali sheep who stabbed itself with its own horns!🐏

From what I've read these are not very common cases, but sometimes it happens that their horns grow towards the head and end up penetrating it.

It's a very fascinating concept, the thing that's supposed to protect you is also the one that end up killing you, a lot to think about, a lot to think about✋🏼😔🥀⛓️

I have this headcanon where fairies, being part insect, undergo a metamorphosis like butterflies, and periodically shed their skin to regenerate their exoskeleton!🪲

Chatting with Death!⚔️

Contrary to what you might think, Death in the tarot doesn't have a negative meaning but means the end of a phase, renewal and unexpected opportunities.

So I think it would be friendly enough to be willing to listen and appreciate the speech of its next victim!

The lady is inspired by a dead tree, I tried to give death a different look than usual, I don't know if it fits but it doesn't look like a living being so I consider it a win!✨️

I'm sure if there was a deep and introspective meaning behind this illustration it would be much cooler to explain, but actually the only inspiration behind all this is a poster I found near my uni where there is a realistic heart with the writing "missing"!

I drew each person in the background without knowing that I would cover most of them💀 but that's okay because I like the final vibes!
