VFX Festival 2014!

Last week Thursdayon January 29th, HA Digital studios were lucky enough to get the luxury of going down to the VFX Festival. Here we got a deep insight into the world of visual effects and how it is used in films and other forms of production, we also got the chance to attend a few exclusive showcase screenings! ... Awesome!

The screenings gave us an insight on what its like to be a visual effects artist and also how visual effects has a huge impact in a films success.

This experience was spectacular! And we all 100% gained loads of experience and knowledge into why visual effects would be an amazing course to take forward in university.

HA Digital Reunited

Before Christmas, HA Digital studios reunited with its original members. It was fantastic for the companies latest members as we gained loads of understanding onto what HA Digital have in store for us as how it provides great experience and knowledge for University.

The past students also taught us how to build the crane which was really useful as the crane will be very helpful in future HA Digital projects.

 It was very helpful, fun, and interesting to meet the original team!

HA Digital were invited down to Sky studios where they learnt about the technical side of Sky. We developed our teamwork and leadership skills.

At the end of last term the HA digital team took a trip down to the ExCeL centre in east London. We were able to get an insight into the difference university options and the courses they had to offer. It was really beneficial!

We're getting CREATIVE

So this week the HA team are creating self made videos on our own takes of the Andrew Goodwin music theory. Also we are creating our first stop-motion pitch as a team. Hopefully it will all go well...

The Tim Hincks Project and Welcome Back

Well hello everyone and welcome back to the HA Digital Studios Tumblr page.

First of all I think I should apologies for the prolonged absence, The reasons being we have been on our summer holiday and have just come back, but coming back hasn't been easy and some of us have left whilst others, myself included have moved up in years and others have joined so getting back into the swing of things has been tough and challenging, to say the least.

Four new students who have joined us, two boys named Danny and Anthony and two girls named Emily June and Anika (Anika was already a student here at HA)

But in any case we have got our first project and that is doing a presentation for Endemol President Tim Hincks who is coming as an inspirational speaker.

For the past couple of weeks we have been set different tasks on preparing the open day assembly. Just to tell you a bit about it we have gone for a Deal or No Deal angle with the assembly and have all been given separate tasks.

Shiv is designing a logo for the assembly.

Emily June and Anika are experimenting with Stop-Motion photography to help explain Health and Safety.

Anthony is currently writing the script for the Health and Safety.

After a long the HA team s back at work again this week our aims are to finish our continuity videos and finish our pitch for our game show. Hope we complete our tasks. By the way, YES that is a touch screen interactive white board.

BrainStorming!!! Today the HA team is creating ideas to pitch a Game show to a famous possible investor...His identity will eventually be revealed to watch out to see how that goes. We all had our different roles...mine today was finance. The other tasks were split up into generating new ideas and figuring out a set design. All in all we are really coming together as a TEAM!

Today the HA squad were creating continuity videos to show their understanding of the subject. It was a difficult task filming and editing but great fun, Of course the toughest part was keeping up with the 180 degree rule!

The new HA Digital Studios team has arrived. They are refreshed and ready to go! The team consists of Anika, Shiv, Anthony, Simon, Danny and myself; Emili-jean. You will be seeing blogs about our events and the journey we are about to undertake. So here we are!

The Finishing Touches

The HA gang is currently putting the finishing touches to the Recurrences pilot such as the credits and the music. We will soon have a verdict for how well we've done on this project.
