Why does he look so gnarly? Did he go for a swim? Did he get caught in the rain? Has he been crying so hard that his greasepaint is running down his face? This legit looks like a 2004 emo rock album cover. What a sad bat. I want to bathe him.

I still can’t believe this is the Bruce Wayne we were gifted in the 2020s. It is the modern Bruce we need but not the one we deserve. His emo phase was not a phase.

Can you imagine the Batkids discovering this image in the future? He would get roasted like an unseasoned rotisserie chicken.

Bless everyone who was involved in this. We were really gifted a sad, greasy, awkward, quiet Batman. He’s a detective. He fucks up. He mumbles. He eats one (1) blueberry. He freezes up after a girl kisses him. And he’s still highly competent and intelligent and compassionate. Idk what this post is trying to say, but I know that in a more cursed timeline we could have gotten a chad Bruce. But we were served this Bruce instead. And I think that’s fabulous.

I'd just like to clarify some things about Senator Cory Booker's marathon Senate speech in protest of the present administration and everything they are doing to the American people.

Senator Booker was NOT allowed to sit down, eat, or use the bathroom during his speech. Sitting or leaving the room to use the bathroom would be considered yielding the floor. Eating would have interfered with his speaking and the person who has the senate floor must continue to speak, except when listening to questions that they will then answer.

He only took occasional sips of water.

The person who previously held the record for longest speech on the Senate floor did have bathroom breaks and also did things like read from the encyclopedia.

Senator Booker did not do that. His speech was to point out the damage that this administration is doing and he stayed on that subject.

Senator Booker's speech did reach many people. It wasn't a silly stunt that was done so that he could take the record for longest speech. He wanted to show the country that democrats will do something to bring attention to the problems we are facing. That democrats are listening to them.

Senator Cory Booker spoke for 25 hours and 4 minutes to "make good trouble."

seen so many posts that are like “I was so confused when I saw all this posting about some non-existent movie “Goncharov” like it was real” I wasn’t. this happens 5 times a week. my dash is routinely filled to the brim with passionate analysis of absurd-sounding movies and tv shows I have never heard of. I never for a second doubted the existence of a russian mafia movie set in italy with massive numbers of bizarrely named characters and no cohesive understanding of the movie’s themes or plot until I saw a post saying to tag it as unreality. this is tumblr. this happens daily. not one thought crossed my mind except “ha, looks like a few of my mutuals have a new hyperfixation.” this is what tumblr has done to me. you could tell me there’s a new tv show about dolphins with french accents living as royalty in victorian england while secretly starting a cult to renew the worship of the greek gods and the shipping discourse is intense and I would simply think “sounds legit” and keep scrolling
