Ice mountain
Drank on 2/3/20
The classic bottled water. Will nestle live up to its reputation?
First thing I notice, this bottle is really loud. With every slight movement, the ridges on the bottle make a crack that fills a classroom during a test, which is where i was drinking it. Every swig was like gunfire. Immediate deduction of points. I got this bottle from the vending machine so it was nice and cool but a little colder than I would like. I will not hold this against ice mountain. It lives up to its name. It tastes like fresh spring water taken from a mountain. Nice and smooth, not as crisp as your average bottled water, whether that is good or bad, it's up to you. It's a great water to pair with lunch however not really a morning or evening water. It made me feel very refreshed. Id say it's the perfect water for midday slumps. Or maybe after some strenuous exercise. But it's not a luxury water by any means. But Nestle understands that the american people don't want luxury water. But somehow they fail to grasp that using child slavery and forcing mothers in poor countries to starve their babies isn't what Americans want in a company. They're also one of the top three plastic polluters in the world. Overall, the dependable workhorse of bottled waters. Good taste and mouthfeel.
Quality water, bottle is too loud, child slavery isn't cool :(

Water Tower Sports Pub
Went there on 2/1/20
A restaurant with “water tower” in the name, perfect start to my reviews right?
Well, a quick overview, the service was fast and the food was really good.
But the water, now that was something special. I probably got my first glass after 1 min of sitting down. It came in a tall, cylindrical glass, like what you imagine when you think about a glass of water. Paper straw, 3/6 ice, the works. Now, normally I'm a purist when it comes to straws, meaning no straws, but that day i decided to use one. I think the paper straw actually helped with the taste instead of hurting it. Upon first sip, the first thing I noticed was the temp, i like it cool, but not too cold to drink fast. It was the perfect temp, id say around 40 degrees F. it went in crisp and left no hard, metallic aftertaste. You could tell it's been filtered. With lake Huron being 1000ft away, i’m sure its fresh, wherever it was filtered. It was the perfect match with the fish tacos I ordered. It was a very effective pallet cleanser, so every bite felt like the first. Some might consider this water to be an afterthought to the meal, but i felt as if the meal would be incomplete without this water to accompany it. If it was replaced with bottled water, or a coke, i would have left much less satisfied.
Very good, high quality, great service
