I’m just waiting for the ALP here in Australia to learn the wrong lesson from the Harris campaign… and the rusted on ALP TrüBelievers go about berating everyone who says “Hey ALP… you could try being leftist if you want votes from left voters… and this policy set is… not… left leaning. Being ‘not Fash’ doesn’t make you left…”
Of course the Greens will likely do that just as much and lurch into Bland Status White Centrism with a Green Tie and Queer Pin.
I've been thinking of nothing but the harris campaign for days and I still can't fully comprehend that it was real

Been working more on “Neon City” 🌃 and making card art. I’ve got a full base set people could #playtest but that set is built to work with LackeyCCG which is… well… gosh damned niiiiiiiiiiiiiche.
But yeah I’ve been making these character designs in Secondlife because Budgets are Real…

Would having safety things tell a parent a TTRPG convention is dangerous?
You know what has had content warnings, and safety ratings, for longer than you ever care to remember?
Home Cinema. VHS, DVDs, BluRays, all of that... the ones you bought had a Safety Rating, and Content warnings.
Go check out that stuff on your streaming platform or DVD. The box will give an age rating, and tell you in short broad terms why it has that age rating.
My shelf has "Spirited Away" by Studio Ghibli. It is a PG movie here in Australia. The reason it has the PG rating is... Supernatural Themes.
My home movies have age recommendations and content warnings.
Grow the fuck up TTRPG chuds.

There’s a thing about CCG and game design that few people tell you about… the spreadsheets. Oh the spreadsheets.
Especially when you make your game a bit complicated.
I am currently trying to ensure an even distribution of skills and a particular distribution of types… and dear reader…
The…
Spreadsheets…

People don't blink when I walk around only in swim bottoms at the pool. It's stupid that people blink if anyone else did. Either make me wear something that covers the chest, or stop giving a shit people...
love seeing revisionism in the wild “free the nipple never meant you can walk around topless every where that’s still sexual harassment it just meant for like breastfeeding and stuff”no it literally means you should be able to walk around topless anywhere because get this. breasts aren’t fucking sexual organs.

And with that news, I hope that every VFX company that can, and every writer refuses to work for Lionsgate forever…

If you can’t afford a Wizbros TTRPG then you’ll be stunned… floored… to find out that games by lots of indies are priced so low by comparison you could have 2+ games instead of a PHB, and maybe 8 games instead of a DMG+PHB+MM set.
There's an interesting alchemy by which, for certain TTRPG fans, WotC's misbehavior makes it more moral to play D&D if you're broke.
The logic goes something like this: WotC is bad, and therefore it is good to steal from them. Indie creators are good, and therefore it is bad to steal from them. Therefore, if you don't have money to spend on games, it is moral to play D&D and immoral to play indie games.
For some reason, the fact that this unimpeachable logic only benefits WotC and only harms indie creators is not relevant.

You are disrupting them while you keep promoting them by playing their games.
Just play another game, tell event organisers you don’t want to play D&D, jump on any old random TTRPG at a convention.
This is something I and other tabletop bloggers like thydungeongal have said repeatedly in the past, but I think it bears repeating.
If you don't like WotC due to the recent scandals they've been involved in (such as the OGL thing and sending the Pinkertons to someone's house) and you are serious about disrupting the economic and cultural stranglehold they have over the entire tabletop hobby, pirating D&D products is infinitely less important than exploring, discussing and platforming games and creators outside of the D&D 5e ecosystem.
A person who pirates every single D&D product but continues to exclusively play, discuss, talk, and blog about Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition is not doing as much as someone who religiously pays for every D&D product but also gives some of their precious time and attention to games that aren't D&D, especially if they have any sort of platform or audience.

Been working on more of these Agent portraits for use in the game I am working on called “Neon City”
It was kind of fun to realise that Secondlife would basically let me do these relatively easily for someone with zero-people-drawing skills.

Been doing some more work on the layout and graphic for this #ccg I’ve been working on.
Still not yet figured out how I want to do the card backs… I will ostensibly want 3 kinds… maybe 2…
And I can’t find a “Wild brush” style typeface I like… trawled all the usual freebie places and still discontent…

Ok so my kid had an ear infection, right? As kids often do.
The doctor scraped out a bit of earwax to have a better look inside.
I was sent a bill for $200 PER EAR for this 5 second procedure which I did not give permission for them to do.
That was key- they did not ASK me if they could do this "procedure". And, as I OWN a medical practice (it's me. The medical practice is me, sitting in my house on video calls) I knew to call them when this bill came in to be like "You did not obtain informed consent for this procedure, and it was not en emergency procedure. You had full ability to gain my consent and didn't. I'm not paying."
And the massive hospital who owned the bill said "yuh-huh you do have to pay."
And I said "I own a practice. I know these laws. I do not owe you money for this."
And they conducted an "internal review" and SURPRISE! Decided I totally owed them money and they had never done anything wrong ever.
And so I called my state's Attorney General office, and explained the situation because, as I mentioned, I know the law. The AG got in touch within a couple days to say they were taking the case and would send the massive hospital conglomerate a knock it off, guys letter.
Lo and Behold, today I have a letter where said hospital graciously has agreed to forfeit the payment.
"How not to get screwed over by companies" should be part of civics class.
Know your rights and know who to call when they're infringed on. This whole process cost me $0 and honestly less effort than I would have expected.
May this knowledge find its way to someone else who can use it.
