Anti-Theft Lunch Bags
Didn’t we already talk about your breakfast? Well, we don’t want to boast, but we made another simple but helpful creation.
Does your classmates annoy you at school? Do they wait in the shadows to steal your lunch packet, so you have to visit the vending machine filled with food that could be older than the care-packages of World War 2?
You no longer have to suffer from those annoying people. With the combination of some paint and the fear of germs, it is possible to avoid these situations entirely. And while you do so, you might as well smile softly to yourself.
Tumblr media
It won’t solve world hunger, but hey, it’s helpful!

Clocky
What is it?
It will sound an alarm to wake you up If you don't get out of bed - it gets nasty. It will jump off your nightstand and run around your floor It will hide. And it will make lots of noise until you get out of bed You have to chase it and turn it off.
Tumblr media
Who did this?!
It was invented by Gauri Nanda, a graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
She came up with the idea when she discovered that 40% of alarm clock users ignore the alarm and abuse the snooze button.
This invention won a 2005 Ig Nobel Prize, a parody of the Nobel Prizes, which is given for unusual or trivial achievements in scientific research.

We Helped CO.
It takes a special kind of crazy to do what Jonathan Mc Courtney the founder of “We Helped” and his team of 23 employee’s managed to sew together. “It is my goal to bring a smile to people’s lips!” the 57 year old ex-marine said in an interview explaining his and his company’s goals. Since 2017 the 24 head crew helped over three-hundred people with chronical depression back on their feet; and the tendency to go even further is looking better and better with each passing day.
Mc Courtney is a recipient of his own therapy. “I wondered if it made sense to try it out. It worked. I am feeling better than ever. And so does she.”
‘She’ addresses the adult feline who is sitting on his lap, purring loudly while rubbing her head against him while the elderly man smiles contently. The old woman is missing part of her tail and a leg, yet one wouldn’t even recognize that considering how happy she appears. “We Helped” specializes on getting people back on the feet who suffer from chronic depression and social anxiety – and all that while also finding pets a forever home. Around ten animal shelters and foster homes work together with the company whose employee’s all know the feeling of shutting themselves off from society and slowly falling further and further into the hole they dug for themselves. The animals and the coaching that they trained over the past 3 years help a lot.
“Combining two good causes to found something amazing is something I had never expected to actually do in my life.” Mc Courtney explained with a grin as he explains how the pets have the chance to reignite someone’s will to live. “These little guys are dependent on us. They are blind, they have a walking disorder, they are missing a limb or an ear. These guys are what we feel like. But we can make them feel better. We can make them feel loved.”
Alexa Rodriguez was one of the first people to try out the service “We Helped” offered. With the help of her coach she worked on keeping the dog she had adopted safe and well. While doing so, she was forced to change her own life. No more waking up at the end of the day, no more staying indoors all of the time. Slowly but surely, Rodriguez felt better about the path she had chosen. Her coach kept her stable and helped her out, weekly or sometimes daily meet-ups with her to make sure she managed and treated the dog well. Nowadays, Rodriguez has a new job and is currently in her third month with a new, healthy relationship.
One of many cases in which the animals help their humans while the humans care for them. However, it is not as rosy as it looks form the outside. “We are still struggling to find a footing in general. There are no scientific studies, no doctors or anything that will call us an official way of helping those that need it. Due to that the funding’s we get are slim. We mostly survive off of our patreon’s and donations from both former patients and people from the outside.” Mc Courtney explains and looks solemn as he does so. He seems concerned with the future of his company, knowing that it takes a lot of keeping it going.
“And to add to all, there are cases when we fail. Especially during the first patients we struggled with finding the balance between coaching and self-managing. It was a hard way since then. Now it looks better, but there are of course still people that struggle with adapting. And others who refuse to adapt at all.” Mc Courtney goes on to describe how they are forced to take back the pets in those cases, how much strain goes onto them and how much they tend to miss the owners that they have already lost. “They stay with us afterwards. We managed to bring some of them together with former patients, but we fear that trying to have them form a new bond with another patient could work badly.”
We Helped is struggling. They have visions and ideals to help people in need while helping animals that can’t survive without love. They brought many people back on track and they intend to go further, but to do so they too might need help from outside. They have a good cause. The question is how long their cause can live on.

A heap of scrap
A Heap of Scrap in the eyes of one man could be the art of the centuries in another’s. In this case it wasn’t just one heap of scrap but an entire museum full of it.
The museum in question is the Museum of Arts and Design in cologne, Germany, with an exhibition that many art critics would not believe to ever exist. Sculptures, Paintings and other expression of artistic integrity in the dozens and hundreds were seen inside the massive museum building, signed by famous artists such as Banksy who already caused a lot of ruckus when destroying one of his famous paintings in October of last year when a hidden shredder let the painting meet an untimely end right when the hammer fell in the auction.
The catch: While Banksy was informed of the exhibition, he never designed a single one of the exhibits.
Angela Lui is the woman called behind one of the greatest exhibitions that has ever shaken the art community. The exhibits shown were all created by human hands and human ideas. But whereas the pictures and sculptures were judged to be millions of dollars in worth, in total the entirety of the interior inside the museum was worth as much as the next scrapyards junk heap. Why? Because that is literally what it was made off.
Introducing John Meier and his coworkers: 24 janitors that worked in the museum over the past decades. They have made sure that no harmful particles would destroy an important painting, dusted off sculptures made from metal and marble and brushed the floors with such precision that one couldn’t tell they had been used just hours ago. And now they were also considered artists with immense talent. Just because they decided to follow a young woman’s idea to create an exhibition of their own.
“We grabbed a load of metal scraps, fused them together and worked with a few metal brushes to run patterns into the rust. Or we held pieces in front of a canvas and sprayed over it to create so called masterpieces.” Meier says with the utmost seriousness in his eyes, before her bursts out laughing. “Yeah, we basically threw a lot of things into a heap and arranged it to look good. We could have sold one of the exhibits and would have gotten the money we spend making these ten times over.”
Angela Lui is a mayor-student of culture and arts at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. The idea that the museum’s curator followed up on came to her when finding an article about a group of janitors sneaking in a piece of discarded scrap metal as part of an exhibition in 1959. Shortly after the Banksy incident, the idea grew to an interesting reality: a critic at the mindless value of art and culture that exists among art critics and collectors alike. “I always liked messing with people.” Lui announced in an interview. “This was just the best prank of my life and it turned out amazingly well.”
When asked about an opinion for the entire exhibition, Banksy himself simply said, that it was an idea good enough it could have been his own. The exhibition was viewable for a total of 4 weeks after its release in early January of 2019.

The Modobag
Did you ever walk around the airport just thinking about how you could be faster and smart at the same time? Then you will probably love the Modobag!
Tumblr media
At first sight it’s just a luggage with wheels. But in reality it’s so much more. It’s the airport Movement of the future.
How does it work?
Based on a 180lb or 82kg rider on smooth terrain with a full charge, the Modobag will travel 8 miles. The Nano-Safe Battery charges to 80% in 15 minutes and reaches full charge in 2 hours. If the rider is on carpet, rough or hilly terrain distance travelled will drop significantly. It does also have two USB-ports for reloading or charging your phone. You can control the Kart by using the easy-to-access telescoping handlebar and you can slow down by the custom brake assembly that is a high precision brake for guaranteed safety while driving.
 Where can you use it?
You can use it where ever you want, but you should remember that on carpet or heavy terrain it loses lots of battery charge and you will be very slowly too. It’s used best on airports or bus stations and can be practically used by every kind of traveler. And it’s taller than you thought, there is a 1800 Cubic Inches Interior Stowing Capacity in it and it does have quick stowing cases on the sides too, In that you can put you phone or tablet while charging. And if you lose it it’s no problem too, because with the Modobag you automatically have access to its exclusive tracking software that has GSM-GPRS real-time tracking and a proximity alert too.
 It’s Problems
There are also a few problems regarding it. For example it is practical and it’s a great experience to drive through airports to get faster to your plane, but on the other side it’s completely useless if there are too many people in front of you. Another point is that if you drive to fast in the curves it might tilt and you’ll possibly fall, maybe even dragging into some people that are moving around. At last there is the fact that if there are too many drivers, there will be the same problem like on the streets with too many cars: a crowded amount of traffic, resulting in heavy traffic jams. But all in one I can say it’s a cool but expensive gadget which is worth to buy if you have the money.

Multi-Color  Spray Can
A friend of mine once asked me, if it would be possible to create a spray can which includes every color of the color pallet. Back then, I didn’t think it would be possible to have something like this. Now however, I think a bit differently.
At first everybody should know what a casual spray can looks like and how it works.
Tumblr media
This is a normal spray can like everybody possibly has seen before. It`s able to spray one singular color through the use of a simple system.   Most spray cans work the same way. The inside includes a mix of color and propellant. At the bottom of the can is a small metallic ball which makes sure that the color and the propellant are getting mixed together. This way the color is able to be released if you put some pressure on the button on top, causing it to be released with a specific amount of expelling force.
Tumblr media
I started searching for a spray can which includes every color and this is what I’ve found. This specific can is developed to spray any color you like just by moving the regulators on the can. You need to imagine that the inside of the can is divided in three parts for each color. Each part has its own capsule filled with color, a metallic ball and propellant. If you move the regulators the color is moving in a small capsule on the top of the three other capsules. When sprayed out, the color is getting mixed. Depending on how you move the regulators you get the color you want, then – like with a normal spray can – a simple push on the button on top releases the color mixture.
The inventors of this spray can found a way to use as many colors as you like. Much better than always bringing more cans, if you ask me.
