People always say that sirius' brother is james and Regulus is the one staying behind but what if regulus' did find a brother for himself

What if that brother is evan? I feel like Evan's and regulus' friendship is not talked about enough.

They would be close friends since they were kids and they're parents would force them to go to these family meetings and Regulus was forced to wear dresses.

evan though, frankly, the closet was glass, the first person they came out to was eachother. Regulus saying he was actually a boy and later on that he fancied potter. And evan confessing that he might be asexual.

They're friendship is not loud, but rather it is quiet. both are very closed off and have built high walls around themselves but they are their true selves around eachother. Evan can be loud, sure, but that's really when he's around barty, he mirrors his personality.

They're both quiet and introverted. They spend most of their time reading. Either for school or enjoyment. Plus, they had close relationships with teachers. They were the favourites

Regulus and evan often smoke and gossip together. They know everybody's business. They're so close that they can understand eachother with a single look.

Hi all, I just wanted to put out a little post updating you all as I know I have gone a bit MIA on both twitter and Ao3. I have done a lot of thinking recently and I want to make some feelings clear.

I fundamentally do not agree with JK Rowling. As a healthcare professional who directly comes into contact with a huge section of the general public here in the UK, I see the direct impact of her actions. I see the pain and the confusion she has caused. As a trans individual myself, I am directly impacted by her actions, I was pulled into a meeting about my gender, about toilets, treating patients, and how open I am about my gender at work. I struggle every day against transphobia and her actions within the healthcare space. It is a constantly battle I feel I am loosing.

With this in mind, I have been doing a huge amount of thinking about my involvement within this fandom. At the end of the day, I want to continue to write Rosekiller fanfiction, I love writing it, they mean a huge amount to me. Evan was how I discovered I was trans. I will continue to update Inaptronym, I want to write other rosekiller fics as well as other pairings. However, I understand this impact I have within fandom, how I may be inadvertently giving towards her. So I hope you can understand how conflicted I am within this.

I sit on a panel about gender issues within healthcare and within radiology (I am a radiographer). I advocate tirelessly for trans rights both with my colleagues and with Patients. But at the end of the day, writing about Rosekiller is my downtime, it is my relaxation, I will not let her take that as well.

I hope this little rant clears up some feelings and thoughts that I have about this issue. I may change my mind in the future but at this point in time, I want to continue my fics and sharing within this space. I want to give other people my version of these characters. Thanks, Ailbhe.

I know there is a lot of discussion/debate about Canon!Barty (e.g. quiet, intense, nerdy Barty) and Fanon!Barty (Loud, brash, punk Barty) but I think people are missing a huge section here. Like Punk!Barty but he would have been a punk during the 70s and early 80s and so I present to you all, Barty with a mohawk????? He meticulous styles it every morning in the mirror, pissing off Evan and Regulus who want the bathroom. Everytime a teacher complains about it his hair is suddenly 3 inches taller and definitely blocks people's views. Barty in properly curated crust pants???? Mixing a blend of Wizarding and Muggle patches and slogans. Pandora helping him to dye his hair blonde hair with black box dye? Tartan skirts with his school uniform?? Spikes on everything? Him knowing every single meaning of the lace code? Idk man just proper 70s Punk Barty

Barty and Evan going to protests for civil rights (read: lgbt, poc, etc) and Barty's the loud one with the megaphone in the front lines directing half of it while Evan stays more on the sidelines with a first aid kit making sure everyone is okay

Barty screaming “where’s my baby?!” in a perilous situation where he has no clue where his daughter is or if she’s safe. he can feel his hands just itching to grab for his wand and simply whisper the easy incantation incendio, knowing that he would let the world burn to ash if it means getting his kid back safe in his arms.

Unreliable narrators are one hell of an idea. You can just write whatever, and if a reader points out "hey the way this scene happened should not be physically possible if it's done the way this character described it", you can just be like "yeah I don't trust that fucker either."

I like the fact that (based on my headcannons) Rosekiller have to do a lot of talking for their relationship to work. There are going to be a ton of uncomfortable conversations they don't want to have but need to.

They have to talk about Barty being bipolar and how it will affect their everyday life, they have to talk about what to do on a manic episode and on a depressive one, they have to talk about his medication, they have to build trust and give in on things they may not like.

They have to talk about Evan being asexual and what that means for him and for them, where the lines are not to cross any, what he wants to participate in and what he doesn't.

They have to learn to communicate things that make them uncomfortable and do it freely because for the first time there is someone willing to listen and respect the limits.

And sure, there are going to be times they fail to communicate things, there are going to be times where they break up on the mere thought that the other could find someone better, it is going to be hard and painful but it is going to be worth everything because in the end they are made for each other. With all the good and bad it may bring.
