Hi besties! I love making colorful creatures and the other day had the idea to make a charity zine based on what I love to make: cute pride themed animals and artwork!! The project would feature not just my colorful critter characters but all kinds of cute pride animals drawn by tons of artists. complied into a beautiful little book!! if you could give the account a follow and fill out the interest check if that sounds fun to you, that would be awesome :3c

Hello hello!! Colorful Critters Zine is a project to spread queer joy through cute and colorful animal friends! Artwork featured would be based around colors, flags, and symbols of the queer community, in conjunction with cute animals! The monetary goal would be to raise money for queer charity organizations. HI! I have decided to do something for the first time that I am a little nervous about but hope it will be a good idea!

if you've backed previous campaigns of mine you know I usually like to have on guest artists to make sticker, pin, and charm designs! Audhd creatures has lots of guest artists already who've made merch for critter, bug and dash! but in the case that we unlock more plushies than just critter, bug, and dash, I want to be able to hire on more guest artists for stickers of the new characters (see below!)

I would be hiring/commissioning as the designs are unlocked, but I want to hold applications beforehand so I can reach out as soon as a goal is unlocked!

wanted to share this manufacturer photo! the guest artist acrylic charms for colorful kitties are finally finished and shipping out to me soon, so they'll be in time to ship out at the same time as the plushies! this picture also includes some guest artist charms that will be part of the AuDHD creatures campaign that I wanted to order samples of, as well as a restock of my doodles paintbrush charm and a new nice/mean lesbian puppy charm!

in August I'll be attending flame con in NYC as a vendor and I'm so excited!!! before I go I want to beef up my queer fanart merch portfolio by making more weebean character pins!!

humbly asking who your favorite queer characters and ships are that you'd like to see more merch of :) please let me know their name and the media they're from in the replies, reblogs or tags!! :D hopefully this can be a good resource for lots of artists too if we share around :D

I've fallen in love with the depression raccoon!!! how likely to be made are any of the other plushies? will it only be one of them? 🥺

it depends on how many goals/how much funding we are able to reach!! I'd like to make as many as possible but plushies are expensive to make so I can only make as many as I have funding for. this is why I super encourage sharing the project if you'd like a specific creature to get funded as we'll need all the help we can get!

the initial goal for the campaign will be for Critter and Bug, which I am partially funding myself as I really want them to be made, which is why the goal is so low! the next goal will be for Dash the disability pride puppy, then after that we will start into the backers choice goals where you'll be able to vote who comes next out of depression racoon, ocd kitty, bpd kitty, spd opossum, and more!! I'm not finished with this graphic yet but to give you an idea here's what the goals will look like:

coming to you on April 2nd, 2024: Audhd creatures + friends plushies and more!

Critter and Bug laying floppy plush are filled with beans in their bellies and paws and are about 18 inches long!! they are made with 5mm crystal plush fabric and are engineered for cuddling and holding!! Bug (the Adhd puppy) has detachable magnetic wings. critter and bug plushies will come with a matching pvc collar tag!! each plushie will be about $48 USD!

there will also be stickers, pins, charms, and standees available of critter and bug, designed by several wonderful guest artists!

If the base goal is met, we'll work towards the next goal, Dash the disability pride puppy! Dash is the same size as critter and bug and has a removable plush wheelchair. The sample is still in the works but should be finished by the time the campaign starts!!

The next plush goals after dash will be for additional characters based on disabilities and mental health!! I will hold a poll for backers to decide which order they would like to see the plush unlocked in. I currently have plans for:

OCD kitty

Anxiety creature

Depression Raccoon

Sensory Processing Disorder Opossum

BPD creature

Schizophrenia creature

Bipolar creature

Dyslexia creature

As each goal is met, we will choose the next most popular creature to be unlocked for that goal!

The campaign this time will be hosted on BackerKit! Backerkit functions similarly to kickstarter in that you are not charged for your pledge until the funding period is over and the goal has been met!

You will choose a pledge level to choose what types of items you would like to get! there will be pledge levels for plush only, plush and sticker/charm bundles, multi plush bundles, and so forth!! If you would like one plushie, you will pledge for the single plush tier, then after the funding period is over, you will get to choose which plush you will receive via a pledge survey!
