Welcoming the New Year with Starlight

The new year is welcomed by starlight. In all humble honesty, I am delighted to live in a part of the world rural enough to walk surrounded by the Milky Way visible to my naked eye at this time of the year. This evening is calm and adorned by millions of stars.

Let us spread kindness where we can, for I believe our world is very much in need of it these days. Hope is but the last thing to leave us, and please let me, in the light of starlight, quote the one and only Tolkien:
