QIJIU GOT MARRIED AS STREET CHILDREN AND BOTH CONSIDER IT TO BE VALID AS ADULTS, BUT ALSO BOTH BELIEVE THE OTHER DOESN’T SO THEY NEVER TALK ABOUT IT AND JUST CONSIDER THEMSELVES UNWILLINGLY DIVORCED AND THINK THE DIVORCE IS THE OTHERS DESIRE AND FAULT

I kind of want a fic about Hua Cheng, Feng Xin, and Mu Qing teaming up to save Xie Lian from some shenanigans he’s gotten himself into and learning the true meaning of friendship or at the very least the true meaning of “we all like this one guy and should probably get along to make him happy”

You know that saying about things not being set in stone, how they’re set in dirt roads and when you travel the same road long enough, it becomes hard to take any other path?? Anyway… I just think that’s a beautiful take on soulmates. They weren’t destined. It wasn’t meant to be. Nothing was written in the stars. But they fought for each other, they fought with each other, they continued to choose each other at every turn and refused to let the other go, and at a certain point, no one else would ever do.

Why do I feel like if Yue Qingyuan were to die pre canon, Shen Jiu would have gone Luo Binghe level feral, kidnapped his corpse, and found some way to bring him back even if he came back wrong because ain’t no wait Shen Jiu’s letting that man escape him. They are codependent divorced toxic yaoi and there is no escaping. It was in the contract and if Yue Qi didn’t want to be defiled, he shouldn’t have signed it 😤

svsss little mermaid (hans christian anderson version; not disney) au where little merbing is obsessed with the human world and keeps sneaking up to catch a glimpse of the pretty human lord. He’s heard the lord is named Shen Qingqiu.
I am struggling to think of who merbing trades his voice to though… This would probably work better if it were meryuan who traded his voice to the system for human legs… but merbing just sounds so cute 😭 merqingge would be so upset trying to find meryuan and bring him home and he can’t because he finds out meryuan is human now and why do I have to hurt myself this way.
Anyway, back to my merbing attempt— so merbing wants to become human because he wants to meet Shen Qingqiu and learn more about humans. So he trades his voice for legs (still can’t think of who he trades them to… maybe Madam Meiyin cause I could see her trying to help with a matter of love 🤔) and finally meets Shen Qingqiu—
—MERBING WAS HUMAN AS A CHILD BUT THE EVIL LORD SHEN QINGQIU PUSHED HIM OFF A CLIFF INTO THE SEA (and assumed he died) AND MERBING (who was never taught to swim and thought he was going to drown) TURNED INTO A MERMAN AND FOUND OUT HE IS THE SON OF THE SEA KING AND A HUMAN WOMAN AND WENT BACK TO THE HUMAN REALM YEARS LATER TO GET REVENGE—
Okay randomly inserted plot idea three has been screamed about, I can be normal now …maybe. But back to regularly scheduled merbing. So merbing meets Shen Qingqiu, except… he finds out that Shen Qingqiu is an absolute dick. Don’t meet your hero’s kids. They’ll always disappoint you.
Shen Qingqiu lets the orphan Luo Binghe stay at Qing Jing, but he doesn’t like him and lets the others living there bully Luo Binghe and laughs at the pain he obviously experiences trying to walk.
—and I really don’t know where to go from here right now because this started with me contemplating Shen Yuan being the “other girl” that the prince falls in love with in hans christian anderson’s little mermaid but then the plot ideas ran wild and I think we’re up to four separate littler mermaid plot ideas at this point and I should just stop writing them in this post before it becomes a bigger mess
Take away?? merbing would be really fucking cute.

I have “Ming Fan’s mom has got it going on” stuck in my head on repeat right now and somehow I know it’s Binghe’s fault…

@pinsluke and so begins Ming Fan’s elaborate conspiracy board of how Shang Qinghua is Luo Binghe’s mother he’s convinced Shang Qinghua and Tianlang Jun fucked and Su Xiyan was their beard
A slightly disheveled Shang Qinghua is complaining and crying to an annoyed Shen Qingqiu about some harrowing mission he’s just come back from with Ming Fan (it was a joint Qing Jing/An Ding mission and Shen Qingqiu was too busy to go so he sent his head disciple). It was a train wreck, Shang Qinghua insists. It was an awful experience and they barely survived. Shang Qinghua nearly died.
The scene cuts to Ming Fan, who is covered in what looks like the remnants of a sewer and his robes are oozing something questionable in a puddle on the floor and overall, he looks like a drowned rat, is standing behind Shang Qinghua with a baffled and utterly appalled expression looking like he’s questioning reality as he remembers the shitshow he had a front row seat to in vivid detail.
Because while everything Shang Qinghua is saying is technically true?? Shang Qinghua was grudgingly competent and badass the entire time as he nearly single-handedly took care of the entire thing and the only person in any danger at any point was Ming Fan who has now sworn off ever going on a mission with An Ding again.

Okay so first, some world building background on this chaotic svsss au. It won’t make sense without it.
The system is actually an organization that deals with organizing the multiverse. Every book that’s written creates a new universe where that world is true. Except, when the book becomes a world, it is now subjected to reality rules as well.
So a book full of plot holes will start to fill in those plot holes and butterfly effects of characters gaining depth can cause the world to derail from the original book. When this happens the world is considered a failure and starts to decay.
The system is an organization of people that work to keep worlds on track to prevent them from imploding. They send people to worlds in disguise as side characters to nudge the protagonist and other important characters down the correct path. If it implodes, the workers are punished and the protagonists that failed become workers in the system to work off their karmic debt.
Shen Yuan was a protagonist, but his book was very poorly written and his character was bland and suppose to do great things, but as a person, wasn’t actually built to do those things. The author made him chronically ill (and then kept forgetting about his “illness”) and struggle with depression. So when his world was born, he couldn’t keep up with the plot no matter how much he tried because.. he wasn’t built for it. He died prematurely and relatively unknown. This caused his world to decay and him to become another worker for the system.
He is assigned to many low class “easy” worlds and is forced by the system to be forgettable and background as he helps various protagonists succeed. He is cynical over finding out he failed so badly because a bad author wrote him one dimensional.
And then one day he’s assigned to Luo Binghe’s world. It’s supposed to be an easy world. He should be able to be in, do his various jobs, and get out. Except, the system made a mistake. Luo Binghe was written with true sight, which when paired with his high intelligence, is a bad combo for an unsuspecting system worker. The issue is that the system didn’t think “true sight” would supersede the system itself. It considered that to be something that would only work on things that should belong in the universe—so a system worker should be able to be disguised unnoticed.
This is not what happens.
Luo Binghe can see Shen Yuan. He can see through the disguise around him (it looks like a ghost image placed over Shen Yuan) and he notices that Shen Yuan is always helping him and saving him. The system charms to interfere and make Luo Binghe not notice Shen Yuan don’t work either. And because Luo Binghe is smart, he never says anything. He just lets Shen Yuan keep pretending to be a random NPC stranger.
He can also read the system notifications over Shen Yuan’s shoulder and he starts to figure out what the system is and why Shen Yuan is hiding from him. But because of all this, no matter how much Shen Yuan tries, he cannot keep the world on track. It keeps deviating because Luo Binghe has no interest in his potential wives.
Shen Yuan is freaking out. He’s crying tears of blood. He did NOT sign up for this. No matter how cool and pretty Luo Binghe is.
So, because the world is deviating, the system administrators pull Shen Yuan out. They figure they need someone with more experience and that Shen Yuan’s just bad at the job. So they send in a better worker. And insert him into Shen Yuan’s place expecting the man can just slide into Shen Yuan’s last disguise. As you’d expect, this does not go over well.
Luo Binghe can see through the disguise and instantly knows that’s not Shen Yuan. He has a fit (understandably) and goes completely feral. He demands violently that Shen Yuan be returned. At which point, the system administrators start to realize they fucked up.
Good news is, they can write the world off as dying and when it caves, Luo Binghe will die with it and become a system worker so their fuck up will be solved! The system can just cut its losses!!
…except Luo Binghe has a dimension hopping sword. And he’s on a mission to find Shen Yuan. And if he’s not in the world when it collapses… well. He doesn’t die. And if he’s doesn’t die? He doesn’t become a system worker the system can control.
And now we have a high speed chase of Luo Binghe world hopping through dimension after dimension, derailing world after world and sending them on implosion courses as system workers chase desperately after him trying to stop him before he destroys more worlds.
And the system is starting to regret not giving Shen Yuan back when they could have.
In the meantime though, Shen Yuan, who failed badly on his last mission with Luo Binghe, is sent to a punishment realm. It’s another world that’s already passed its original story and fully safe from deterioration. In this world, Shen Yuan is forced into a lowly role of a servant that’s abused by his master.
Shen Yuan is not having a good time. He’d like to unsubscribe from the system. He is forgettable and uninteresting and constantly a failure. No one remembers him ever. Not in his first life and not in any of the others. He just wishes he could make an impact on a single person. He really felt like he had been doing something good with his attempts with Binghe, but in the end…
Shen Yuan should have known it would end the same as always. It’s truly a shame he couldn’t have made a difference even once, isn’t it? Camera zooms in on Luo Binghe destroying the multiverse like a kid destroying a bag of candy. Truly a shame.

Yue Qingyuan has hanahaki. He accepts he’s going to die. He keeps quiet about it and quietly arranges for the sect to be taken care of when he’s gone. The sickness is getting worse and worse though and one day someone catches him coughing up flowers. The rumors spread. Soon everyone in the sect knows the sect leader is dying of the flower sickness. He loves someone so much it’s killing him.
Shen Jiu shows up furious and demands to know who Yue Qingyuan loves. Who did Yue Qi deem worthy of his affection. He mocks Yue Qingyuan when the man doesn’t answer and cruelty says that whoever it is obviously wise to not want to live such a moron. Yue Qingyuan begins to have another coughing fit and Shen Qingqiu jerks back upset, before storming away.
Yue Qingyuan’s condition steadily worsens and Shen Jiu is tearing the sect apart looking for whoever it is that rejected Yue Qingyuan. The other peak lords keep trying to convince Yue Qingyuan to have the flowers removed but he just shakes his head and says it’s fine before coughing some more. When Shen Jiu hears of this, he flies into a rage and corners him in his bedroom so he can shake sense into Yue Qingyuan, demanding once more to know who it is. They both know Yue Qingyuan’s time is almost up. He’s dying. He won’t live much longer.
“You’re going to die,” Shen Jiu snarls at the other man, eyes burning with unshed tears.
Yue Qingyuan smiles softly as a shaking cough tears through him once more. He shrugs. “I know.”
“No.” Shen Qingqiu is shaking with fury. “NO.” He slaps Yue Qingyuan hard. Yue Qingyuan's head snaps to the side, face plastered in wide eyed shock. Shen Jiu shoves him against the wall glowering at the stunned man before him. Yue Qingyuan gingerly touches his reddened cheek and stares up at Shen Jiu, his eyes bright with glossy tears. Shen Jiu snarls down at the moron's guileless expression and grabs the front of Yue Qingyuan’s robes, yanking him in close as he looms over him threateningly. “You don’t get to leave me,” he seaths. “WHO IS IT?”
“Xiao Jiu,” Yue Qingyuan breathes with a wheezing cough, chest heaving as he continues to stare up at him in a morbid, twisted awe.
“WHO!” Shen Jiu shakes Yue Qingyuan again, his knuckles going white. There’s a rattling sound coming from Yue Qingyuan’s chest and it’s infuriating. “Tell me who,” he demands, shoving his face in close to Yue Qingyuan’s.
“You. Are. Mine.” Shen Jiu snaps. “You don’t get to leave me again.” He drags Yue Qingyuan into himself and crowds him hard against the floor, pressing a bruising kiss hungrily against the other's mouth. Yue Qingyuan lets out a strangled groan and goes pliant under him.
Shen Jiu growls against Yue Qingyuan’s lips, “Mine. They can’t have you.” Yue Qingyuan hums lowly in agreement and presses into the kiss with a moan. He shudders under Shen Jiu and tugs at Shen Jiu’s robes, trying to pull him closer.
Shen Jiu pulls back and grabs Yue Qingyuan’s jaw forcefully, jerking his gaze to meet his own. “You will forget about them. You belong to me.”
“It’s as Xiao Jiu says,” Yue Qingyuan murmurs, dazedly, a slight smile tugging at lips.
Shen Jiu’s grip on his jaw tightens and he scowls down at the serene face. “You will forget about them,” he promises threateningly. “You are having those roots removed.”
Yue Qingyuan blinks up at him in infuriating befuddlement. Shen Jiu glowers and leans in close again, “They. Will. Be. Removed.”
Yue Qingyuan blinks. “There’s no need.”
“What the fuck do you mean there’s no need?” Shen Jiu’s voice burns with unconcealed fury.
“There’s no need,” Yue Qingyuan says again, smiling softly. His hand tightens in Shen Jiu’s robes, tugging him down slightly. “Xiao Jiu’s cure works best.”
Shen Jiu stares. “What?”
Yue Qingyuan blinks up at Shen Jiu earnestly, cheeks flushed a light pink. “Xiao Jiu’s cure is effective.” Yue Qingyuan glances away nervously and wets his lips. “Xiao Jiu could keep curing me if he wants?” he says hopefully, embarrassment coloring his voice.
“What?” Shen Jiu blinks at Yue Qingyuan’s flushed face in angry, bewilderment. “Roots were just suffocating you to death. What do you mean there’s no need.” He yanks at Yue Qingyuan’s jaw to force their gazes together again and watches in bafflement as Yue Qingyuan’s throat bobs and his flush gets deeper.
Yue Qingyuan gives him a bright smile, “Xiao Jiu needn’t worry about it. Xiao Jiu has the best cures.”

You know how Shen Yuan is always going on about Luo Binghe being the protagonist and have the golden finger that prevents him from being killed? What if, when he transmitigated, Shen Yuan actually has the halo instead and Shen Yuan just doesn’t realize.

I was surprised to find out recently that this isn’t a popular opinion, but I personally believe that a person is an active member of a fandom even if all they do is appreciate the content that other members make. Writers (and artists) make content for someone to appreciate. By appreciating it, and liking it, you are contributing to the cycle.
