Comics Gwen Stacy: do you have a safe person? Like, someone who you can go to for comfort, who your spidey sense doesn’t trigger around?
Movie Gwen: oh yeah! For me it’s Miles Morales, from 1610. He’s just… amazing. Who’s yours?
Comics Gwen: oh uh… me too… Miles, yup… ahaha

Hero’s Shade
I think about the Hero’s Shade a lot…how he’s the Hero of Time who died lamenting that he was never remembered as a hero, and to ease his regrets, he shows up as a ghost in Twilight Princess to teach TP Link
OOT/MM Link continues to be the most tragic Link to me…but I love that he got to interact with TP Link, someone who understands the struggle, so he can rest easy knowing that he’s not alone (I’m not crying you’re crying)

You are the villain’s right hand man and you are the true power behind their criminal empire. The villain would never have achieved their status as a super villain without you, so when the hero finally arrested the villain, nothing actually changed.

50 million years she’d been alone. 50 million years sat pondering what had happened, pondering what she could do next. It didn’t take the earth as long to recover from a nuclear war as she had initially thought. But then again, she didn’t know exactly how long it had been. 50 million years was a… rough estimate.
Everything on earth was totally different. All the cities and towns, gone. Most every plant and animal on earth had been totally eradicated, leaving entirely new ones in their place- still plants, still animals, still mammals and avians and fish and trees and flowers and all that- but such new and different ones. Iconic, natural locations such as the Amazon rainforest were gone, all the continents had been broken up- mostly by the nuclear weaponry, she assumed, as 50 million years wasn’t nearly enough time for that to happen naturally. She wasn’t even sure Australia still existed, though she had sworn long ago never to go back there. Still, no intelligent life yet. It felt lonely, empty, despite the abundance of life. Despite how long it had been, she still felt strange looking upon an earth free of humankind. It didn’t feel right leaving them as just a blip on the radar. She knew that the Galaxy itself wouldn’t last more than a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the universe’s lifespan, but… humanity was such a drastic change to Earth, it didn’t feel… correct to have them be such a small part of that planet’s life, at least. So she decided to fix it.
She picked the lushest jungle on her planet. Not the smallest, but the most sustainable for human life, at least, what she could remember of it. She named it the garden of pleasure, a good starting point for a species, she thought. She liked the idea of each human having a little piece of god in them, so she split off a fraction of her immense power and planted it like a sapling in the garden. The humans could harvest it when they were ready. She rubbed her hands together, thought long and hard to make sure she got every detail of the human body right- long enough for the sapling to grow- and finally, finally, summoned a small human boy into the garden. Not of infancy, she wasn’t that dumb, but around the human age of maturity. It needed to survive on its own, after all. Somehow, she immediately knew what to name the boy, though she knew not why. Perhaps a memory from deep, deep in her subconscious- from what she assumed was the first age of humanity, though she could just be the most recent in a cycle of “the last human on earth.”
She decided to call the boy Adam.
God is all of us, literally. The power of a god is divided evenly between all humans. The last human alive creeps out of the ashes of nuclear war.
