I don't have anything to say except: I Miss You, Maru 🥺🥺💕
Hi its been a while since i've opened tumblr, something happened that sort of made me lose too much confidence in myself that being seen by everybody made me too nervous. its a selfish reason i know, but im somewhat better i think.
i haven't watched season 3 of squid game, frankly I probably never will because i heard about what happened by an irl friend of mine who watched it and was as upset as I was when they talked about it to me. To say that I felt disappointed would be an understatement, not just because of how much I loved Jun-ho and In-ho's story, but the show itself was holding a powerful message that in the end it couldn't follow through with. As much as I want to try and find the same passion I had for the show as I did earlier this year, I really can't because I dont want to wrack my brain about what if's and what should've been's when there are other things I could be doing with my time. It's like all the thoughts and theories I had were put to waste, i would've understood somewhat if maybe the hwang brothers didn't get as much focus but the entire season just being as bad as it was makes me more frustrated and hurt because it was already a very special kind of show.
i've been watching other things, but in the back of my head i had still been waiting and wondering about what squid game's finale would be like and after finding out, i cant bring myself to look for why it became like that and i probably already know the answer but i dont want to lose my head over it.

Never thought i'm gonna say it but thank you Netflix for giving us a month of brotherly loves
(contained spoilers)
Started June with doomed brothers then made up for it by the end of the month.

Protectiveness is a popular trope in Kdrama for real, that can explain the reason why almost all my K-OTPs are like that, and protective brothers are even better 🥹

A coldblooded, manipulative villain with a heart only been shaken for his little brother.
A perfect detective with moral became grey because of his big brother, Hwang Inho was his only true motive to risk it all.

Look at them eyes all teared up, just thought about Junho getting hurt was enough to made his facade broken, even though he knew too well his brother would make it.
Even though they wouldn't meet again but at least Junho always has parts of his brother in him, literally and mentally.
#squid game#hwang in ho#hwang junho#inhojunho#ty netflix made them both alive so i can feel less sad about the ending of the show 🥺#hwang jun ho#hwang inho#hwang brothers

Why do his thoughts sound like my fanfics on AO3 ?? Could he share the novel so we could be a joint writer for the Hwang brothers' story on AO3 ??
😅😅😭😭

Wi Ha-joon wrote a novel length story about In-ho and Jun-ho, and he wants to play Jun-ho alongside In-ho again in the future!!!! ❤️🥺

REAL TRASH.
Sorry not sorry.
Inho reaction after he shot Junho in the shoulder......... and then in s3 he gave the order to kill Junho without having the slightest reaction
The epitome of trash writing

There might be a lot of things I didn't like but I am so happy about how Junho finally found people who cared for him even in all this. In matter of just few weeks Kim and Wooseok really grew into the people he could lean on.

Kim understanding him, being supportive, even when he knew Junho wasn't telling him the complete truth but he understood that this was important to him. He didn't question or doubt him once, he didn't care if he likely wasn't going to get paid anymore, he was just ready to risk his own life for whatever Junho needed to do.

Wooseok going all the way to protect Junho and help him even getting locked up for 6 months and not once did he blame or complain about it to Junho despite of the fact that Junho didn't believe him at the start. Literally the best friend Junho could ever have.
For someone who always goes an extra mile for his loved ones, I am so glad Junho finally found the people who'd do the same for him too. Junho might never get his brother back but he has people who actually care about him, who he could trust. This is found family of s3 and is probably one of the only things I adore and wouldn't have it any other way. After all he went through in his life, Junho deserved to not be alone anymore and I am glad he got that.

not to scream about the brothers again, but I think I could have made peace with their lack of interaction if inho actually showed up at the end to personally give junho the baby.
or even a letter or SOMETHING, if he didn’t want to talk to junho face to face yet
but brother just dropped that baby off and said nothing and left 😭 junhos just now a single dad with no context or correlation to this child
Oh nettoii, you're a better person than I am. if he showed up with that random ass baby, I'd still be pissed. Like what? can you imagine from Junho's POV, like bro, I don't run an orphanage. Give it to an actual institution that has that sort of service. I don't know this baby?!
they had the underlying brother stuff for three seasons, Inho hallucinated Junho when he was digging out the bullet, like that's arguable the most important person in his life left. And he does the wooden husk staring at a Wendy's menu thing when they finally meet. No reaction. wtf.
and Junho decides to stop looking for him now? Shouldn't he have even more burning questions? idk, it was just so disappointing...

Hope is a good thing. Believing in change is a good thing.
The reason bad guys win is because they are very good at convincing other people that everything is hopeless and that those who try to band together to fight back against unjust systems will never win and should just give up instead.
We all know bad guys win plenty often in real life.
What people need isn't more condescending stories from rich people who are doing just fine about how the bad guys always win in the end, how the little guy can never change the system and will just die if he keeps trying too hard.
What we need are stories that inspire us.
Stories that help us to keep hoping, instead of crushing any hope we still have.
What we need is people choosing to work together to be hopeful together in the face of even overwhelming capitalist evil.
Which is why I reject netflix's S3 in favor of my own version, and I encourage everyone who disliked S3 to do the same.
Screw the capitalist money hungry nonsense version of S3.
Write your own S3.
Live your own version of a better story.

gihun didnt even find out junho lied, he didn't find out youngil was never real, hell he didn't even say youngil's name??? the reveal in general was incredibly underwhelming
some randoms lived longer than hyunju, daeho got reduced to plot device (and got a personality transplant), nothing was developed.... and gyeongseok was the one who survived, all because noeul cared abt him bc of his kid.
junho did nothing, im sorry. he got the coast guard but everyone had already left. we don't even know if they took the evidence to the police!
GIHUN FUCKING DIED IN THAT ISLAND, WAS BURIED IN THAT ISLAND AND ACHIEVED NOTHING!!!
and fucking hwang inho lives :)

Headcanon.
In time, Junho will recover from everything that happened. But not immediately.
He has nightmares. In his dreams, he sometimes calls out for Inho, seeing him again and again with his back turned. Junho wakes up to his own desperate and angry voice. Sometimes, his cries wake up the baby, causing her to weep. And sometimes, his mother hears him screaming "hyung!" in his sleep.

😭😭😭😭😭😭
"Oh Junho will have more screentime in s03!", "he'll have a more important role in this season!", "he'll reunite with his brother" my ass. He did nothing, all of his scenes could have been replaced and nothing would have changed. He didn't even need to be alive, the 'plot twist' of him actually surviving the s01 cliff turned out to be useless. He found the island and then left 5 minutes later. He didn't speak with his brother, he yelled 'brother why' and then nothing. He acquired a baby in the end for no reason.
Honestly it's my fault for expecting more of him. I should have taken the hint from the way he was treated as a character in s02. My fault for wanting to see him actually talk to Inho, my fault for being invested.

I get better when instead of thinking—
Junho’s character in s2-3 is useless. He was so slow, his entire team got killed before he reached the island.
I rephrase it and think—
Inho all throughout seasons 1-3 really did everything—not matter what cost— to keep Junho safe and away from the island.
