Saturday, October 26, 2024 - Tim Walz
Governor Tim Walz headed up to the great state of Montana to campaign in Montana's 1st Congressional District with Monica Tranel, specifically targeting Missoula and the surrounding suburbs. We believe that she is the best option for Montanans. We also talked about voting for Senator Jon Tester, even though he doesn't support our campaign, we believe he has a proven track record of fighting for Montanans. Lastly, we also did a lot of education on the 3 constitutional initiatives that are on the ballot this election. The Harris-Walz stances on the ballot initiatives are below.
CI-126 Vote: Yes Reason: Creating a top-four primary system strengthens democracy by allowing more diverse candidates to appear on the general election ballot, fostering a more representative government.
CI-127 Vote: Yes Reason: Requiring candidates to secure a majority vote helps reduce divisiveness by ensuring that elected leaders have broader support from voters.
CI-128 Vote: Yes Reason: This amendment enshrines the right to abortion in the state constitution, guaranteeing reproductive freedoms and healthcare rights for Montana women. Harris-Walz asks you vote yes!

Saturday, October 26, 2024 - Kamala Harris
The Vice President met with Governor Hobbs and Senator Mark Kelly in Phoenix for a morning of door knocking. Maricopa County is a constituency that our campaign believes will be critical to our success and so we want to be as transparent with them as possible. Door knocking in this community meant that we answered numerous questions about policy issues and opinions of the candidates. At around 16:00 MT, the campaign headed over to Desert Financial Arena, which is where a campaign rally was held. A full-text of that speech will be released shortly.
Proposition 133 Vote: No Reason: Voting "no" preserves Arizona’s current election process and stops the effort to require more restrictions in primary elections, protecting both transparency and election integrity in the state.
Proposition 134 Vote: No Reason: Opposing this measure is about protecting voter rights by avoiding the complicated requirement of gathering signatures from each district for ballot measures, which could restrict citizen-driven initiatives.
Proposition 135 Vote: No Reason: Opposing this measure maintains the flexibility the governor has in responding to a wide-range of state emergencies, from health crises to natural disasters
Proposition 136 Vote: No Reason: This measure would create unnecessary legal challenges to ballot initiatives, potentially blocking voter-approved initiatives through excessive procedural hurdles.
Proposition 137 Vote: No Reason: Arizona's judicial term limits help ensure accountability and judicial independence. Voting against this measure preserves the six-year terms for state supreme court justices and four-year terms for superior court judges, keeping Arizona’s judicial election process fair and balanced.
Proposition 138 Vote: No Reason: We believe in a fair minimum wage for all. Opposing this measure supports tipped workers by ensuring they’re paid a full minimum wage, which is essential for financial stability and dignity in their roles.
Proposition 139 Vote: Yes Reason: This amendment enshrines the right to abortion in the state constitution, guaranteeing reproductive freedoms and healthcare rights for Arizona women. Harris-Walz asks you vote yes!
Proposition 140 Vote: Yes Reason: This proposition strengthens democracy by advancing ranked-choice voting and open primaries, which foster fair representation and voter choice in elections. Approving this measure will give Arizona voters more power and make elections more competitive.
Proposition 311 Vote: Yes Reason: This measure provides essential support for families of fallen first responders by establishing a $20 fee on convictions to fund a benefit for the spouse or children of those who lose their lives in the line of duty, demonstrating respect and gratitude for their sacrifice.
Proposition 312 Vote: No Reason: Protecting vulnerable communities is key to inclusive policies. Voting against this measure prevents penalties and tax cuts for property owners based on punitive approaches toward homelessness, which is a matter better addressed with compassion and resources.
Proposition 313 Vote: No Reason: We oppose mandatory minimums that limit judicial discretion, especially without exceptions for cases involving trauma or mental health. This measure’s extreme sentencing structure could be harmful, and a more balanced approach to justice is needed.
Proposition 314 Vote: No Reason: This measure creates undue state burden on border and immigration issues that are federal responsibilities, potentially harming Arizona businesses, budgets, and public safety. Supporting balanced policy, we believe this overreach will create economic and operational setbacks.
Proposition 315 Vote: No Reason: We oppose this measure as it restricts state agencies from effectively implementing necessary regulations, potentially slowing down essential progress for Arizona’s communities and environment.

Amendment 1 Vote: No Reason: Voting against making school board elections partisan protects education from political interference, keeping the focus on quality education rather than party agendas.
Amendment 2 Vote: No Reason: Opposing this amendment helps keep wildlife management rooted in science, not ballot measures, ensuring Florida’s natural resources are preserved responsibly.
Amendment 3 Vote: Yes Reason: Legalizing marijuana for adults promotes personal freedom and helps redirect resources away from minor drug enforcement, creating opportunities for economic growth.
Amendment 4 Vote: Yes Reason: This amendment enshrines the right to abortion in the state constitution, guaranteeing reproductive freedoms and healthcare rights for Arizona women. Harris-Walz asks you vote yes!
Amendment 5 Vote: No Reason: A "no" vote here protects public services from potential funding cuts disguised as regulatory cost savings, helping maintain necessary government functions.
Amendment 6 Vote: No Reason: Retaining public financing for campaigns strengthens democracy by leveling the playing field for statewide candidates, allowing broader participation in state politics.

The Governor met up with Secretary Buttigieg, Former Mayoral Candidate India Walton, and Congressional Candidate for NY23 Tom Carle for a day of campaigning in Western New York and the Southern Tier. This is a region we think is a major opportunity for democrats to invest in. The region is a mix of suburban and rural that has strong ties to art, education, and manufacturing, which we believe gives us the opportunity to grow our reputation.

This region of the state is heavily ignored and it is time that we put that to an end. Americans across this country deserve to have their voices heard and our campaign is continuing to make sure that is known. We will represent all Americans, even those who do not agree with us. When meeting with voters, we also shared the Harris-Walz view on the NYS ballot measure, which you can find below.

New York Proposal 1 Vote: Yes Reason: This measure ensures that New York’s Bill of Rights truly protects everyone, regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability, or reproductive choices. Voting yes supports vital protections for women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and all New Yorkers’ right to equality and autonomy, such as abortion.

Campaign Goal Met!
Vice President Kamala Harris launched a campaign just 73 days ago that promised Americans from all 50 states, the district, and 5 territories would have their voices heard by her campaign. She has officially crossed the finish line on that promise and she will not stop fight to hear from more Americans until the Election.
While we understand that polling is a flawed science and that we are 2 weeks out from the election, which is a long time in American politics, we are pleased with the map below that we are seeing. This tells us that Americans across the country have been receptive to the type of campaign that we are running and that we are seeing the return on our investment in hearing the voice of as many Americans as possible. Thank you for believing in us and the promise that was made to visit all 50 states, 5 territories, and the district. We are not done fighting, and the map below still has a lot of swing states indicated. Please make sure you make a plan to vote and check on those you know to make sure they have one as well.
During our campaign we have worked tirelessly to spread the platform of the Harris-Walz candidacy and the policies we hope to enact in the White House. However, we have made a concentrated commitment on helping down ballot races across the country. The map for the house continues to prove to be tough, but the math is still possible and some polls are still swinging certain congressional districts on a near-daily basis. Please make sure you have supported your congressional district, if you are financial able to do so, especially if you've maxed your contributions to the Harris-Walz campaign.
Lastly, do not forget to educate yourself on the ballot initiatives in your state and local levels. Many states are seeing some hard hitting ballot initiatives concerning the right to abortion, the legalization of marijuana, rank choice voting, and public school funding. These are all initiatives that our campaign support and we hope that you will help us fight the good fight for a better future for all Americans. We are not going back.

The Vice President, Governor Kelly, and Secretary Haaland headed to the cornhusker state to do some campaigning. The 'official' schedule is below.
Omaha, NE (Event #1) Event Location: University of Nebraska Omaha Event Type: Get Out the Vote Event Time: 8:00 - 11:00 CT *The campaign launched a Get Out the Vote initiative on-campus at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Governor Laura Kelly met with some faculty members, while Deb Haaland and the Vice President met with various student groups. Some social media ambassadors were recruited to help us raise awareness for the down ballot races and ballot measures in the state of Nebraska. Our stance on the ballot initiatives are below.
Omaha, NE (Event #2) Event Location: Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano Event Type: Lunch with Local Democrats Event Time: 12:30 - 15:00 CT *We invited some local democrats from across the state to join the campaign for lunch. This was just a session for us to discuss the issues going on in Nebraska and how democratic policies are being discouraged due to republicans in the state.
Lincoln, NE Event Location: Pinnacle Bank Arena Event Type: Campaign Rally Event Time: 18:00 - 21:00 CT *Full-text of this speech will be released shortly.
Nebraska Initiative 434 Vote: No Reason: This amendment would place significant restrictions on abortion, limiting reproductive freedom in Nebraska. We urge a "no" vote to protect women’s health, privacy, and their right to make personal medical decisions free from government interference.
Nebraska Initiative 436 Vote: Yes Reason: Supporting earned sick leave is a basic step toward a healthier workforce and safer workplaces. Approving this initiative will help ensure that Nebraska employees are able to care for themselves or loved ones without risking their jobs or financial security.
Nebraska Initiative 437 Vote: Yes Reason: Legalizing medical marijuana is about providing relief to Nebraskans suffering from chronic conditions. This measure allows qualified patients access to safe, regulated medicinal marijuana under medical guidance, offering new hope to patients in need.
Nebraska Initiative 438 Vote: Yes Reason: Expanding medical marijuana through regulated legalization supports patients while ensuring safety standards. By establishing the Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission, this initiative would ensure that patients get safe, quality products while supporting responsible business practices.
Nebraska Initiative 439 Vote: Yes Reason: This amendment would safeguard reproductive rights by establishing a state constitutional right to abortion until fetal viability. A "yes" vote upholds a woman's right to make personal healthcare choices, aligning with our stance to protect and expand women’s rights. We urge you to make this "yes" vote!
Nebraska Referendum 435 Vote: No Reason: A "yes" vote would pull taxpayer money from the public school system of Nebraska. Please keep money in public schools by voting "no" on this referendum.
