Gardens for Kids
Mission impossible - play structures (tire swings, balance beam made of wood, hoops and trampolines), vines that grow on wires to make lazer beams, sunflowers for hide outs, dandelions, stepping stones for lava spots.
Fairy Forest -- flowers, lots of water stations, painted rocks for houses, lights, diy greenhouse covers that look like fairy houses, treasure chests, clovers, herbs, snap peas, things with shade. Diy painted planters with berries
Bird Watchers Club - Bird feeders/houses, wind chimes, watering spots, photo booth, root veggies and bulb flowers for fertile ground for extra worms, mud kitchen to make feeders outside, chairs for sitting out in.
Rock and music -- wind chimes, drums, rock garden, music stage, jars all over to make music when it rains or you water, tires for planters, paths for trucks to come threw. Pumpkins, squash, frogs belly, cucumbers, and flowers with weird shapes to them.

shepherds pie variant recipe
Tumblr media Tumblr media
cowboy skillet pie (with green pepper and jalapeño)
Prep in ten minutes, ready in 45 minutes.
ingredients:
five small potatoes
green pepper (long or bell)
yellow onion
garlic (3 cloves)
jalapeño
ground beef (8oz)
southwest spice blend (chili powder, cumin, garlic) 1 tablespoon total
beef stock concentrate 1tsp?
sour cream (2oz)
butter (2 tbsp)
1. Heat broiler to high. Wash and dry all produce. Dice potatoes into half inch pieces. Core, deseed, and cut green pepper into a medium dice. Halve, peel, and cut onion into a small dice. Peel and finely chop garlic. Finely chop jalapeño, removing ribs and seeds if you want less heat.
2. Place potatoes in a medium pot with enough salted water to cover by 2 inches. Bring to a boil and cook until very tender, 12 to 15 minutes. Drain and return potatoes to pot. Keep covered off heat until ready to mash.
3. Meanwhile, heat a drizzle of oil in a medium, preferably ovenproof, pan over medium-high heat. Add green pepper and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Add onion and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until softened and lightly browned, 4 to 5 minutes.
4. Add garlic, southwest spice, and as much jalapeño as you’d like to pan with veggies. Cook, stirring, until fragrant, 30 seconds. Add beef and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, until beef is browned and cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes. Optional: Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon flour. Cook, stirring topcoat, one minute.
5. Gradually stir half a cup of water, stock concentrate, (and optional 1 tablespoon ketchup) into pan with beef mixture. Simmer until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Turn off heat. (if your pan isn’t ovenproof, transfer mixture to a baking dish now.)
6. Mash potatoes with sour cream and 2 tablespoons of butter until smooth, adding splashes of water (or milk for extra creaminess) as needed. Season with salt and pepper. Spread mashed potatoes on top of beef mixture, leaving a 1 inch gap around edge of skillet. Broil until bubbling, 3 to 4 minutes. (Watch carefully to avoid burning. The broiler is a powerful tool!) Sprinkle with any remaining jalapeño to taste.

Poppy Seed Muffins from Stardew Valley
I am back!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have been playing a lot of stardew valley recently and cant stop, it is such a great feelgood game. The first sight of the poppy muffin in the game made me want to try and make it myself since it looks so delicious, and it was!
In the game the only ingredients you need for the muffins are flour, sugar and a poppy but I (ofc) added other ingredients and lemon since the combination of poppy seeds and citrus is to tasty to miss.
Tumblr media
Lemon poppy seed muffin recipe, makes around 12-15 normal sized muffins
Ingredients
100 grams Butter (melted)
2 eggs
1,5 dl sugar
2 dl milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 dl wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
2 tbsp blue poppy seeds
zest from 2 lemons and juice from 1
Tumblr media
Start by preheating the oven to 175 degrees celsius. Then line a cupcake tin or baking tray with cupcake cases.
Tumblr media
Whisk together egg and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Add the melted butter, milk, vanilla essence and lemon zest and whisk until combined.
Tumblr media
In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Tumblr media
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined, then add the poppy seeds and lemon juice and again, stir until combined.
Tumblr media
The batter is quite loose so I recommend pouring it into the cupcake cases. They should be filled about ¾ way up.
Bake It in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted to the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Done!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These muffins came out so well, they are fluffy, moist and tastes refreshing of the lemon. I could have added more poppy seeds because you don´t notice them in the taste that much, next time I make ill try with 3 tbsp poppy seeds instead of 2.
I will try posting more recipes and stuff In the future, thank you so much for reading. ^^ Now ill go back to playing stardew valley and make some more muffins there and give them to Penny and Leah…

i just want to run away and become a pirate in the 1700s and fall in love with a boy and spend my life on the ocean sailing, only docking occasionally for food and resources, away from the real world until one day we die in a shipwreck in each others arms and become nothing more than a ghost story about the outline of two boys and a ship seen in the fog by sailors on particularly misty nights

To all the parents out there who bundle their babies up in the winter time with those little hats with the little ears that make them look like little teddy bears: You are doing the lord’s work. Seeing tiny ewoks toddle across the grocery store parking lot is just what we all need sometimes. My joy is immeasurable and my day is restored.

Here, a cheater course on caring for natural fibers!
1. Wool. Treat it like it has the delicate constitution of a Victorian lady and the conviction that baths are evil of a 17th century noble. (If I get in WATER my PORES will OPEN and I will CATCH ILL AND DIE.)
2. Cotton; easygoing. Will shrink a bit if washed and dried hot.
3. Silk; people think it’s like wool and has the constitution of a fashionably dying of consumption Victorian lady, but actually it’s quite tough. Can be washed in an ordinary washer, and either tumbled dry without heat or hung to dry.
4. Linen; it doesn’t give a shit. Beat the hell out of it. Historically was laundered by dousing it in lye and beating the shit out of it with wooden paddles, which only makes it look better. The masochist of the natural fiber world. Beat the fuck out of it linen doesn’t care. Considerably stronger than cotton. Linen sheet sets can last literal decades in more or less pristine shape because of that strength. The most likely natural fiber to own a ball gag.
