Write more, write again or write for the first time this winter.
Journaling has so many proven benefits, it would take me hours to complete this story. But let’s start with these five simple reasons to finally open that beautiful notebook and start a journal.
🖤 Your anxiety is getting weaker. I know that firsthand and you can trust me on this one (ravens with anxiety disorder, unite!🐦‍⬛). But remember that journaling is not a therapy itself, but a therapeutic tool. So, please, consider find a therapist if you feel the need.
🖤 Your gratitude is growing. Simply because you can see vividly how much you have to be grateful for. It’s all there on the paper.
🖤 Your immune system is getting stronger. I know it sounds crazy and weird, but I looked up this article about connection between journaling and a need for a doctor visit. The explanation is simple, of course. Journaling reduces stress, regulates emotions, and helps with mental clarity. We all know how stress affects our health, right?
🖤 Your memory is getting better as well as your attention span. Recording everything in a structured manner helps keeping those memories in line, and reducing mental clutter helps to make the attention span better.
🖤 You know yourself better and this reason doesn’t need to be explained. Right?

Love this! There is also this cool technique - reverse journaling. Basically, you don’t write about your life, your experiences, but ask yourself questions.
Instead of “I went out to eat my dinner by myself” try “Why did I go to have dinner by myself?”. (Why did I message him? Why did I moved here? Why did I read that book?)
Reasons for our choices are so different, and it’s a good thing to look deeper. If you practice reverse journaling often enough, you can see your decision making patterns and work with that if needed.

how do I want the world to see me, and does it match how I see myself?
how do I show up for others, and how do they show up for me?
what about my life feels like love and what doesn't?
where does my time go, and where do I wish it would go?
who do I admire most, and what about them speaks to my soul?
is the way I live aligned with the life I dream of, or a I just coasting?
what qualities in others feel the most magnetic to me? Do I reflect those?
what’s inside my bag, and what does it say about me? (be honest, even the gum wrappers count.)
if I could script my perfect morning, how would it begin?
what passions have I ignored that I would like to reclaim?
what’s one small, powerful shift I could make today to move toward my dream life?
write a tender letter to the future version of yourself. What do you hope they’ve become, and what do you want them to remember about now?

The most popular myths about journaling and why they’re wrong.
Myth 1 🙃 you should write daily to achieve results
No, you don’t.
Consistency in your practice is showing up when you need it or feel like it. Yes, you can write daily. Yes, it works. But if it feels like a chore then you should step back and reconsider your approach. You are writing for yourself, so your comfort is your only beacon.
Myth 2 🙃 you have to be a very creative person because journaling is all about it
Of course, you don’t 😀
Journaling is all about being real, expressive and honest. That’s all. You shouldn’t care about beautiful handwriting, trendy aesthetics, new notebooks, or anything.
Btw, we all are creative. That’s a fact (topic for another day).
Myth 3 🙃 you have to build a routine and it’s about finding time. And it’s so hard to find time for journaling. Impossible.
Yeah…no.
If you can find 5 minutes then you most definitely have time to journal. There is a list of very fast and easy to follow techniques, and I’ve got you here. My 10 techniques for busy people is on the way to meet you 🖤
And the most important thing to remember is:
