Heck No Pooh's Adventures
4K posts
UPDATES ON ANY DAY YOU'RE NOT AT SCHOOL OR WORK -------------------------------------------------------------- I may be using a whole blog to mock these "talents" but at least I'm not attacking them directly. Please do not go to war against these people. -------------------------------------------------------------- Pooh's Adventures. A meme that sounds quite regular for a strange mind at first, but when you find out that they have plans for a family-friendly "Pooh's Adventures of Avatar", then everything is ruined. -------------------------------------------------------------- Join me as I take on the worst and most bizarre of these fan-created crossovers, watching as much as I can and browsing the wiki to see what other ideas they have up their sleeves (and won't bother to complete).

I has an idea for a Pooh's Adventures of Little Shoo Of Horrors. But there's a catch to it all. It's in the style of The Ultimate Ed-Chronicles, it's based more on the film's workprint, has the original ending and none of the heroes appear. The the new United Alliance Of Evil would only appear possibly before the Prologue, and during the song "Mean Green Mother From Outer Space". And even then, all they would do is sing along with the buds (Using audio from different versions of the song) and possibly assisting Audrey Il in tearing apart the building.
Speaking of which, there’s Audrey II. Here it’s actually a genetically modified Piranha Plant (Because Pooh’s Asventures) and was sent to a universe with none of the main heroes. However, unlike previous attempts, the plant itself is the one who’s in charge of the operation (Think back to lyrics “We’re gonna do things my way, or we don’t things at all!, with none of the villains taking part in it. And then do eventually come into the picture, they really don’t have to do much because they’ve already won. So not only would the movie end with them getting possibly their first and only actual win, but now they have an army of carnivorous plants at their disposal.
i mean that still sounds terrible but anything to get rid of the gang once and for all

the moral of this comic is storytelling is easy: you just get your friends to punch your story up, usually by having a character gain access to spider-man’s web shooters and also spider-man’s rogue’s gallery

So, now that you’re back. What stuff are you going to keep doing and what stuff ain’t happening anymore?
Well, riffs won't be happening anymore, that's for sure. If I decide to go back to the wiki and find anything truly, remarkably absurd, then I'll share it here for everyone to gawk at.

If you chose to support this blog on newTumbl, you’d probably waiting for a post, a photoset, a video, anything. I apologise for the shortage of activity, but sadly, at the moment doing business as usual over at this platform seems impossible without one specific key feature. The problem isn’t that I’ve been slacking off, it’s just that not only has newTumbl got a long way until it can fully surpass the useless kiddy pool this once creator-driven site now is in terms of media sharing, but the staff of newTumbl have yet to take notice of the still-broken video embed function, and trying to present pilots direct from YouTube or Vimeo will instead leave the uploader permanently hanging. newTumbl as of yet is bursting with potential; hopefully when the issue is finally dealt with, my nT experience will actually begin.
Tumblr itself has been a waste of energy for over a year, and early in 2021 when the copyright directive kicks in, it frankly won’t be alone. Trying to manage it in 2020 seems almost pointless when everything you post is at risk of being wrongly filtered to protect an audience that probably doesn’t even use this site. But the thing is, just look at us. Look at us.
There are times when I’m dying to get back to business providing you all with abandoned animation history (even while the fine folks moderating Art of Lost and Cancelled Media are keeping the tradition alive over on Twitter), as I’ve discovered a plethora of rejected animation history that deserves a place on a blog I just couldn’t bear to run for 16 months, giving creators and their projects without a future some well-deserved exposure (this is especially a bummer following the passing of Chris Reccardi (IMP, Inc. | The Modifyers | Meddlen Meddows)), but the very fact that we’re a month into quarantine because of a major, heightening health/economic crisis - under an authority based on fascism and laziness no less - feels like my breaking point coupled with the fact that a Tumblr alternative where you control what young audiences will somehow stumble into can’t even keep this archive afloat. And so, I feel like it’s time to treat all you patient, cautious folks with the official return of F Yeah, Failed Cartoon Pilots. On Tumblr.
This will be the only blog I’ll be running here, as unless my short-lived F#$! Yeah, Advertising Icons finds a future hidden within this clutter somehow, it feels like the most accessible blog I’ve ever had the courtesy of moderating. So while this blog’s activity may be outpaced by my constant daily viewings of obscure cinema, the new Animal Crossing routine (SW-0417-3040-6344) and anything else I’ve been doing to keep myself busy during this………..this, expect more fascinating film/TV projects that could never make it past pitch/pilot stage to be showcased for as long as we the free internet survives.
It’s good to be me again.

For everyone’s information:
The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is 'oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, here’s what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Don’t:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesn’t affect their revenue and since it’s off the store at the moment it’ll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and don’t use it you’re saying to staff that there’s still time to save it. If you delete it’s hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. They’re a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because they’re scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.

A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

What I don't understand about the Pooh's Adventures wiki are how there are rules, yet the users don't bother to follow them. Take the "no anime allowed" rule-- You see there are only a few exceptions, but lots of anime that aren't exceptions are allowed just fine.

The internet could change next week, and not in a good way
You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression.
We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. There’s already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report.
The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered “fair use” under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We don’t believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.
If you access Tumblr from Europe and want to act, you can find more information on saveyourinternet.eu.
