Since the next characters for story vanguards are either Momotarou or Kaguya, I've been going a bit berserk theorizing....

Overall, I want to be surprised with what their designs will be! To say I'm excited to see them would be an understatement.

But I have one idea that I'm sure others have with their designs...

Will be see their other eye....?

OVER THEORIZING WHO WILL GET AN UNDER THE EYE PATCH!~

Lunar Arc spoilers!!

Because story vanguards are insane about delving into the characters pasts, I don't think it's a crazy idea to think maybe, just maybe, we'll get an eye patch reveal. Like learn how they got it, what's wrong with their eye, something?! Some answer?! I'm insane for lore!!

Now... Don't call me biased but... I do think if we get an eye reveal, it'll be Momotarou, and I'll state why.

Overall, they've been pretty loosey goosey with Kagu's eye. It's kind of a joke. Some people she tells it's just an accessory, to Susanoo she says there extreme power being held in, we just know she talks about it more.

There's a joke to her eye in the anime, and, during Lunar Arc, we see her without an eye patch. Whether it's her actual eye or a result of her body changing to the Lunar Spirit, I don't know. But I just feel like we hear more about Kagu's eye.

If you wanna split hairs (which, if you do, please I wanna yap more about this I'm crazy) You could argue that one Kagu picture the Oni twitt posted where she's in a Moonfol outfit but her eye is normal, but I dunno?

NOW, WHY I THINK IT'S MOMOTAROU,

WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM. We only hear SOME of his backstory in Divine Arc! And his eye isn't mentioned at all! It never has! We basically know nothing about the man in the 11 years Onigiri has existed. A story vanguard would be the PERFECT opportunity to show us SOMETHING, give us SOME sort of answer.

Like maybe he doesn't remember but something happens and he suddenly does? It happened in Divine Arc, suddenly remembering things (though it was extreme on his mental), it could happen again.

I don't even want it to be a part of the actual vanguard design, I want them to still have an eye patch but we get like, a cutscene without it. Some oopsi happens or a moment of vulnerability. If anything they could do it like with Yaksha Miroku's fang veil, the design has it, but you can buy or exchange an outfit change that doesn't have it.

It just feels like such a good opportunity to show us something!

Random shit that doesn't really contribute but I still wanna mention

With enough gravity glitches or movement with the camera, with Kaguya, you can juuusssttt barely peek through her eye patch and see... There's nothing there... No eye... Just skin... I'm like positive it's just to not have another asset but still kinda funny. I don't know if Momotarou's model is the same, but I'd assume so? Kagu's model is just... More loose? Definitely the most affected to gravity glitches, without a doubt, I'm pretty sure everyone that's played with Kaguya knows her pantsu color because her skirt just goes crazy during cutscenes.

(^ I don't know if Wildcat or Wolfking have the same problem because I haven't checked, but I'd assume you could use gravity glitches of him because the bandages on that model look like they'd be loose as hell. Also I'm talking about the current models. I don't know how to use MMD but you can install the girls' old models and I'm sure you can double check if Kagu had another eye in that model. Let me know if you do!)

Also since Crazed and Lunar Spirit are both bosses, they do actually drop their eye patch on occasion! They're both needed for crafting recipes so you might have had to gather them, but Kaguya's eye patch drop reveals that it's actually a mark and seal in the Lunar Empire. I thought that was really cool! It's a REALLY rare drop though so you might not come across it (I only know because I found it in people's bizarre) Unfortunate, Momotarou's shows no lore indication :( it's simply just a dirty bandage used as a crafting item. Though I guess if you wanna theorize (aka my specialty), maybe he had no control over his ability to change what was used in his Crazed form? His eye patch in his actual model is fine and it's different than the one he's shown with in the Crazed model (His normal is like a magenta color, as Crazed though, it's grey). On top of that, he doesn't show any signs of being the type to let things get dirty. He was kinda excited to go to the onsen and with his hyper sense of smell, itd just make sense for him to pay close attention to cleanliness.

Okay, I'm done for now. If you can think of other points or rebuttals, tell me! I really wanna get ideas flowing because I think there could be a lot of potential for lore here!!
