I started playing Onigiri again after it was released on Steam. Starting from zero is a bit depressing, but Momotarou is worth it

//So I was looking around for what I had Susano’o’s height listed as and.
Half of his notes are just him roasting the entire onigiri party with a special bias for burning the hell out of momotarou.
Some favorites under the cut

//more notes about divine possession, a bit more broad than the last one this time.
Long post.
But basically there are three kinds of divine possession.
“true” divine possession - This is the most like regular possession where a deity enters the body of a human. Very few physical changes occur in this type, but this kinda allows a god to take over most of the body’s conciousness. Very straightfoward and is most often used as a god’s disguise since it muddles their magic a bit and doesn’t use their physical bodies. These are usually pretty fast and VERY rare since the deities aren’t truly imposed by much.
Regular divine possession - sometimes a mortal of some sort will be connected to an actual god in some way (usually in the form of being their appointed hero, like onigiri!uchida is for susano’o and fumiko is for amaterasu in my lore), these mortals will be blessed with their own form of divine possession. This is generally the most physically ‘healthy’ form of divine possession given that it is two mortals that fuse together to create a demigod. However there is a far wider spectrum of disaster due to both consciouses having equal control over the new demigod (see above link). Other than that, the body doesn’t usually harm either party. A demigod’s form is normally the unblessed’s body as the base with some features of the blessed’s. The most drastic change is the power a demigod is created with, which makes them far more powerful than either party on it’s own, the real trick is finding a combo that a blessed could be totally be fine with sharing with an unblessed. This is almost exclusively used for battle due to being incredibly draining.
Kamikui corruption - The Scary One(tm). As the kamikui were once gods like Amaterasu and Susano’o, they too have something the likes of the above true divine possession. However, it’s become perverted to suit their new monstrous natures. This is without a doubt, the least healthy form of divine possession.
Corruption brings the greatest physical and mental changes to a mortals body, usually twisting their bodies and minds to suit the purposes of the kamikui (which is greatly exemplified in cursed!Momotarou, who changes drastically to suit Tiamat’s destructive nature and becomes an almost draconic being). While mortals and gods are far more willing to let the unblessed’s body go, the kamikui prefer to watch the unblessed struggle for their freedom in all manner of ways, including making the person they shared bodies with immortal (which a god can, too, but it almost never happens since they do not feel the need to use that as a means of spreading their influence like the kamikui do.) In the case the unblessed is unfortunate enough to be made “immortal”, they can only truly die to a deity, be it god or demigod.
While the use of “Divine” in the technique’s name is probably is meant to lean it towards good, divine possession is actually extremely neutral and can change purpose largely because of who is preforming it. It can also change drastically between the two bodies being fused because not always is a combination necessarily good, but it isn’t always bad either.
