l'amour impitoyable has to be one of the best orchestral movie soundtrack piece I've heard in a long long time, it's almost as good as Hans zimmer's work for interstellar.

the melody fits the fallen angel theme, like l=the soundtrack to Lucifer being cast out from heaven and wandering the deserts and seas of earth with nobody and nothing to his name.

“don’t do that,” he demands when he sees you slowly taking the ring of your finger. the two of you have been shouting at each other for the past hour without coming anywhere. “there’s so many ways we can solve this, it doesn’t mean that we have to end,” he tries his best to persuade you not to take it off and when it’s almost off your finger, he grabs your hand. “let’s talk this out first, i won’t allow you to take that ring off your finger without us having a real conversation about this.”

you look at him and then at your hand that’s been hidden by his own. he watches as you nod your head and sit down on the couch, waiting for him to speak first. eren sits down next to you and keeps his eye on the ring to make sure that it doesn’t leave. “you tell me your side of the story first and then i’ll tell you mine. this is probably just a big misunderstanding,” eren suggests and leans back in the couch. “we have to try and understand each other because i never want to lose you.”

his words makes you want to take back everything that’s happened today. from the beginning of the fight to you wanting to take the ring off. you didn’t particularly want to end your relationship with him, you were just tired of everything going on. but now he’s here, ready to listen to you and you’re ready to listen to him. maybe it’ll all be okay in the end and that ring will be stuck on your finger for the rest of your life.

he comes home late at night after being on a drive. the two of you were fighting earlier and he couldn’t bare seeing the hurt expression on your face anymore. he had yelled at you while you were quietly listening to his words. now he’s back home in your shared bedroom. the lamp beside your part of the bed is still on which makes the dried tears on your cheeks visible in the dim light. next to the lamp there’s also a ring, the engagement ring he put on your finger four months ago. he’d never seen you without it so now when it isn’t on your finger, it hurts him a bit.

“i shouldn’t have left,” he mumbles to himself and walks over to you. jean sits down on his knees and brushes your hair away from your face. “i’m sorry for yelling at you and i’m sorry for leaving you alone. i should’ve stayed so we could talk about it,” he whispers and watches as you open your eyes. you look for his hand and take it in yours with a small smile covering your lips. “it’s okay jean, it gave me time to think things through as well.”

jean shakes his head. “it’s not okay, you never did anything wrong. i should’ve tried to solve it without yelling at you. i never wanted to hurt you,” he says before looking over at the ring on the small table. you follow his gaze and then look back at him. “i was afraid it would fall off in my sleep so i put it there just in case. it has nothing to do with you, i still love you just as much,” you explain and jean visibly relaxes. he smiles and kisses your ring finger while looking at you. “i love you, do you want to talk about everything tonight or tomorrow?” he asks. “tomorrow, get into bed, i wanna sleep.”

“really going to take the ring off?” he mutters from the couch while watching you. you’re pulling at the ring to try and get it off but stop in your movements when you can hear his voice. he stares at you with one eyebrow raised as if you were dumb to take the ring off your finger. “this clearly isn’t working out,” you say and levi sighs before reaching for your wrist. “why don’t you sit down then, let’s make it work out.”

you look at him with wide eyes and he tugs a little at your wrist. “we’re not going to break up because of a shit fight like this, so keep that ring on your finger and tell me calmly why you’re upset,” he says monotonely. you sit down next to him and sigh. you touch your ring and pull it back to its place on your finger.

“your hand looks much better with it on, it’s just my opinion,” he admits which causes a smile to spread on your lips. levi intertwines his hand with yours and leans further back into the couch. “alright, tell me what’s going on in that pretty head of yours so we can solve this.”

ERWIN SMITH

“what are you doing?” he asks hurriedly when he notices you take your ring off. you’re standing by the sink, ready to wash the dishes since the two of you just had dinner after a fight that got solved throughout the meal. erwin gets up from his chair, acting more panicked than he would in any other situation and you look back at him with wide eyes. “i’m gonna wash the dishes, i don’t wanna risk the ring accidentally falling into the drain.”

he sighs out in relief and leans back against the counter. you look at him as he rubs his temples. “i’m not mad at you anymore, i wouldn’t have taken it off even if i was,” you try to reassure him. erwin puts an arm around your waist and pulls you into his chest. “i know, i guess i just got scared of losing you,” he admits.

his lips ghosts over your forehead and he places a sweet kiss there. “i love you,” erwin whispers and you look at him with a smile on your face. “i love you, erwin. you don’t have to be scared of losing me because i’ll never leave,” you say before kissing his lips, making him smile as well.

REINER BRAUN

he spent the hour after the argument in your shared bedroom. both of you decided to calm down by yourselves, usually you would talk it out immediately but this time he suggested that it was better to be alone for a bit so it would be easier to talk it out later. now, reiner is finally ready to speak which is why he’s walking out the bedroom and into the kitchen where he can hear sounds from. he isn’t met with the sight he expected though, the first thing to be seen his how you’re taking your ring off and placing it on the counter.

“why are you taking it off? i thought we would talk it out?” reiner asks, his voice filled with panic as he looks at you and then the ring. “i’m sorry for getting so angry with you, i should’ve tried to stay calm and i should’ve listened to you more. can we please talk it out, i don’t want to lose you,” he rambles and you walk up to him, reaching for his hands. “reiner, you’re not losing me. i’m just gonna bake some bread, i don’t want the ring to get dirty, that’s all.”

he stares at you with wide eyes and pulls you in for a hug. “and we can talk it out right now if you want to, but i won’t ever leave you, you don’t have to worry.” reiner sighs out in relief and places a few kisses in the crook of your neck before taking your hand and leaving a few kisses on your ring finger. “yeah, let’s talk it out. you can bake meanwhile, i can help you too. then we can cuddle and i’ll make up for all the kisses i haven’t given you for the past few hours.”
