Why should you read Bermuda?

It is a story that highlights a fallen hero’s struggles as well as his re-emergence in the world with help. While slow paced at times, Bermuda does a wonderful job at displaying characters' emotions. The romance is just right. Despite being almost 400 chapters, You will not get bored waiting for our mc and mll to get together. Every other chapter is filled with longing that makes the wait worth every chapter.

This story also doesn't skim over action scenes. With both the male lead and main character being top class mages and equally strong, the fight scenes are to die for. And the secrets will have you at the edge of your seat.

main selling theme for me: caring older ml who takes care of mc while also respecting his opinions and choices but also puts his foot down at times. (green flag ml? we STAN)

Leonardo Blaine (early 20s): The main character who is dishonourably discharged after disobeying orders that caused the death of many. Once called the war hero, Leonardo had to completely vanish from the spotlight. He is an all rounder in magic; though his main subjects are fire and lighting.

Having spent countless years on the battlefield, he is quick witted and quick at judging situations. While he is hated by the empire’s people, Leonardo still wants to protect them. His love for the empire is immense.

Hugo is disciplined and rational and treats people equally. Due to his cold and intimidating image, he is also called the Kazad (god of ice). He is well respected by the council’s army.

Even if he got a whole new identity, i doubt he will be able to live normally. Mind you, his whole goal throughout the story is destroy and i highly doubt being defeated will suddenly awaken a new part of his thatll want to save (that would be,,,weird ngl),

Also, everywhere he'll go, he will just hear people say he was someone who only sought to destroy. No one knows who he was before he was shigaraki tomura or that he was once a victim.

He was doomed since the day he was born, nothing can change that fact.

something i have been wondering that, in a case where the villains specifically shigaraki, is saved, what would become of him?

i feel like one way or another, people like toga or even dabi can have a chance of redemption. But Shigaraki? the symbol of fear, the leader of LOV, the guy who wrecked the most havoc? Even if he didn't die, he would be locked up until he dies one way or another. Even if regrets his actions, there is no way he would be able to live a normal life. The public would never want him around.

so my question is, Is there any way Shigaraki could live as a somewhat normal member of society? and how?

while this take makes relative sense, i personally dont think Shigaraki will be willing to leave behind the league (in an instance where they aren't dead).

Shigaraki's focus changes throughout the story, in the beginning, he didn't care about the other members of the league (save from kurogiri perhaps) however as the story progresses, we can see that he begins to focus on others as well. Even mentioning many times that while his goal is world destruction, the league's goals and desires are an exception to that.

He even states that even if his hated suddenly disappeared, even if he just became an empty husk, he'd still need to be a hero for the villains, envisioning the League as his inspiration. (from the wiki)

From the last part, we clearly see that to Shigaraki, the league means alot.

Now, lets say Dabi somehow survived and didn't become a burnt bacon crisp thatll crumble at the slight pressure, Toga doesn't bled out to death (cuz thats fucking ridiculous), Twice somehow lives. We still have spinner who will have numerous quirks inside his body, even if people like all might or Midoriya wanted to help the league get away by giving them new identity, i highly doubt they can just let spinner off the hook, not when he is in such an unstable state and i like to believe that Shigaraki won't leave without him.

Even if an hybrid organ was established, saying that "won't be another child to be taken advantage of" seems rather too hopeful. Thats what heros existed for, to help people however even then people like Tenko, Touya and Toga had to go through all the bullshit.

But of course, just because you can't save all doesn't mean you shouldn't save any. Maybe more efforts will be put in place to ensure more people like the league won't emerge, maybe people will be encouraged to not rely on heros too much (which we can see happening in the end of the manga, to some extent)

I like that answer but what after that? Sure, he might be able to heal and get over all the poison afo fed into him but will he be able to live as a normal member of society without hiding his identity?

People wont be kind to him, hell, they have no reason to. That's the guy who singlehandedly destroyed half the country (maybe half, I dont keep track) and even if he was, to some extent, forced into it, he did eventually choose to become the symbol of fear. The backlash is going to be huge, and I doubt even heros vowing to keep him in check will comfort the public. The society will never accept Tomura Shigaraki.

Now, if he leaves the name "tomura Shigaraki' all together and disguises himself for the rest of time, he could live in a society but what would he do then? When he was young, he wanted to be a hero, and then for the rest of his life, he worked towards destroying them.

To think about your answer, it certainly can work, with Shigaraki healing and etc and trying to better himself but he will never truly escape the shadow of this past.
