Crass Grass

While cleaning out some old photos in my Google account, I came across a picture of Snivy I drew way back in middle school. I really enjoyed the colors and chaotic vibe, so I decided to take some inspiration and draw something with a similar feeling!

Here's the pic from way back when! I think at the time I was really into the song Matryoshka by Hachi and tried going for a similar feeling—who'da thought nearly 15 years later my taste in Pokemon and music would be alarmingly similar? Some things never change, I guess. ┐(´ω｀;)┌

Randomly fell down a weird rabbit hole last night watching demon videos on YouTube. I found a really good one titled "What does the Bible say about DEMONS?" with an incredible thumbnail of a chibi dude falling in love with an anime demon girl. A picture they drew in the video of someone getting possessed by multiple demons really spoke to me. 10/10 would recommend.

Objecting Octoling

Tried drawing art of my octoling to celebrate Splatoon's 10th anniversary today! These games have been a huge part of my life for a long time, so I wanted to make something to celebrate! I think this turned out really well for my first time trying to draw a more human-looking character. ✧｡٩(ˊᗜˋ )و✧*｡

His outfit was inspired by Baphel if you couldn't tell! I'm trying to live my life as impishly as possible. (´・ω・｀)

Devilish Dress-Up

I tried dressing up Mamegon in a cute new outfit, and he looks like he's having so much fun! Sometimes I wonder what's going on in that silly little head of his... Sure he's a demon, but look at that sweet face! I bet he wouldn't even hurt a fly!

Made an icon for my Tamagotchi blog, @baffstamablr, since I'd just been using a stock image of Devil Mametchi for so long!

I thought it'd be cute to go for a sorta scrappy (or hetakuso, perhaps?) vibe for it, so I made it with a mouse in MS paint!

Superfluous Snack Binge

I felt like experimenting with the colors in this piece! I started talking to @darrellenjoyer a bit recently and have really enjoyed his use of black backgrounds, so I wanted to give it a try myself! I also felt a bit inspired by the cover of Nulut's v flower song Fixer after listening to it again for the first time in a while.

The sprites for all the food are borrowed from the Tamagotchi Connection--my Tamagotchi obsession continues to run strong! I wanted to kind of explore the feeling of trying to find happiness by filling your life with unsubstantial ephemera and feeling forever unsatisfied because of it. The fake/pixelated snacks seemed like a good way to try and evoke that kind of feeling.
