Oils, oils, oils...
Tumblr media
Rodolfo's Shrine.
Oils, oils, oils! Its been an on and off again thing. I wasn't sure whether I could do it or not. I have been told by certain beings that I will fail because my oils will not be demon oils. I say "Fuck that. Doing it anyway!" Tried to for the past 5 years to no avail. But now, I have solid recipes and descriptions, as well as ideas for all of them.
I will announce some names:
Rompe Hechizos (Spell Breaker) - breaks curses, jinxes, and all other spells cast on you. Powerful, works well.
Noche Bruja (Night Witch) Renders you invisible. You won't be noticed, people won't even see or sense you.
Lechuza: (Owl) This oil has a real owl bone in the master jar. It was acquired legally many years ago. If you would like to perform necromancy, do death work (like magic with the aid of the dead, honoring the dead as well as feeling their physical presence, graveyard work (like gathering a dead, communing with the Death Energy), pacting with a dead, or simply anointing candles and tools for misas - this is YOUR oil! Why is it called Owl oil? The Aztecs believed that Owls were vessels for dead souls. There is a huge history and folklore behind the Mexican and Latin folks and owls. I won't go into it here.
Descruzar: (Uncrossing) Removes heavy magic, curses and hexes. Strips aura of all negativity and balances the aura's field.
Volador: (Flying) Astral travel, vivid/lucid dreaming, riding in-between worlds (seriously, no joke), ascension to other planes, occasionally used for scrying or "sighting" in the practice of Muerteria. It will be very vivid. And there are no poisonous plants or substances. Just my knowledge of herbs from Mexico.
Exclusive Necromancy Oils
Muerto: General death work.
Draws Them: This will draw the Death Energy to you and awaken the dead around you to make contact. Its a friendly oil.
Work With Them: This facilitates jobs (magic) between you and a dead for a time. But it is best if the dead already knows magic or is pacted with you.
Scares Them: This will keep the dead away from you temporarily. A bigger job must be done to complete this task.
Heats Them: This gets the dead to do things for you very quickly, but it may irritate them.
I'm also going to selectively sell some Orisha oils. Yemanja, Oshún, Shango, Obatala, and likely my version of Elegua oil. Oh! And Oshumaré!
The oils will come in a 1/2 oz Amber dropper bottle. I find that these leak the least. And they are sealed shut for the customer. I have used a whole gamut of bottles and these are it!
As for a date on when I'm releasing these oils...not sure yet. Hopefully by mid-September, but could be as soon as late July. Funds aren't stable enough to buy supplies. I need bottles, labels, and some 91% alcohol plus some expensive herbs and oils I'm missing.
Please reblog! 💖

Oshún Sweet Jar & Work
Tumblr media
This works very well, but now I modify it by putting the jar on a white plate and I surround the jar with rose petals, marigolds, and pumpkin seeds with my big chunk of citrine. Add coral if desired. Oshún loves her coral hair combs!
Jar ingredients:
Sugar
Honey
Red Rose petals
Sunflower petals
Use mostly sugar, especially if you want to draw someone. Its faster. Honey can be slow as well as molasses. Use just enough honey to glue it up nicely. Concentrate on positive energy. Envision Oshún's all-encompassing love.
First, light some Sandalwood incense, its her favorite! Take a piece of parchment and write your request on it, or draw Oshún's ajitena on it. You can write names and birth dates too. Set it below the jar. Anoint a pink candle with some Sandalwood oil. Empower it with your breath and give it your loving energy. Light it and affix the candle to the jar lid.
Tell Oshún that you've made this jar and created this spell for her to draw love to you. This step is crucial with ALL Orishas. Always tell them what you are doing and say: "If I have your permission to do so, I'd like to use this (item) dedicated to you to draw love (money, protection, etc)." This makes your spell work right every time. Orishas appreciate some foreknowledge about things they may do and the benefits for them.
Let your energy flow to the jar and candle for a good 10 minutes or so. Thank Oshún, ask her to bless you throughout your day. Let the candle burn down, but check on it. A chime burns for about 90-120 minutes, depending on length and width. You can use a yellow or gold candle if you prefer.
This spell can also be used to make passionate times with your partner and sweeten them in general.
This spell packs a wallop!! Works for me every time. You should get some sunflowers and offer them at the river for Oshún. You will be heard always. Oshún is nothing but consistent. 💖 Just remember to show her the utmost respect and to taste the honey that you use in the jar before you put it in!!
Modupe ó!

3 Ingredient Yemanja Scent Bowl
Tumblr media
White bowl
Spring water
Sea salt
Lavender buds (not super dry)
Why no sea water? Too polluted. So we'll use sea salt. Mix all items in the white bowl. Within a few hours, you should have beautiful lavender scented water. I do not recommend straining, just to keep all of the lavender essential oil from the buds in the water.
I dip my fingers in it throughout the day/night. Do not let it sit for more than two (2) days. Pour outdoors, either by a tree or in moving water. The ocean is ideal, but Yemanja owns all water.

Yemanja & Oshún Oils
Thought I'd share my mother's oils!
Tumblr media
Yemanja Oil
White Rose petals Carrier oil Ylang Ylang oil Jasmine oil (a good faux is nice!)
Oshún oil
Sunflower petals Carrier oil Sandalwood oil (invest in a small amount of quality oil, like 10 ml of Skylara brand on Etsy) Rose oil (a good faux is nice!)
Why get a more expensive Sandalwood oil and a cheap fake Rose oil?
Because fake Sandalwood is always atrocious, whereas fake Rose oil can be very well done. Be wary of "Tea Rose." It can really suck. From my nose to yours! Enjoy mixing!

Muerto Potion
Prodigiosa
Rosas
Mandragora
Hierba de Cementerio
Agua de Rosas
Agua de Lluvia
Agua de Lavanda
Aguardiente
Cook herbs for 7 minutes. Strain, let cool. Add the waters and aguardiente. Bottle and store in a cool, dark space.
This potion is very positive. It draws muertos to you if you put it on. Great for graveyard work and necromancy. Cleanse your sighting (scrying) tools with it too.
Enjoy!

A Muerteria Formulary
Hi ppl!
Long time, no post! I thought I'd give a link to my other blog (Sure I have before) because I posted a big formulary for my path, Muerteria. The recipes may interest you all. Plus, they are proper tested recipes, so know that they work and shouldn't fail unless the crafter fouls them up somehow. Other posts may be interesting too! Here:
Have fun and be nice to the muertos.

Arte Negra: Cursing Items
Black Mustard (Mostaza Negra) - This troublesome little seed causes strife wherever it goes! Its good for stirring up problems, especially little ones that can turn big. Also can assist with making people leave you alone.
Blueberry leaves (Hojas de Arándano) - Used properly, these leaves can make your enemy sad and blue.
Coriander seeds (Semillas de Cilantro) - Burn to wish an enemy ill.
Snake skin - Burn in a blue candles flame to make enemy sad and insane. Do not burn poisonous snake skin without proper ventilation.
Wormwood (Ajenjo) - Soak enemy's name paper in full strength oil for three weeks. Be sure you curse it! Sprinkle with lighter fluid and burn. Repeat with other cursing gestures.
Poppy seeds (Semillas de Amapola) - Lead your enemies straight into confusion. Can use flowers, but less strength.
Hot Peppers - Aggravate your enemies! Any type of chili pepper can make them irritated as well as the people around them.
Verbena - Will destroy unions.
Elder (Sauco) - Add to cursing powders for extra potency.
Rue (Ruda) - Adds bitterness and sours relationships.

My 13 Favorite Herbs!
These are just some favorites. I'll do a black magic list next!
Marigold (Boton de Oro) - This is my favorite herb. It has wonderful energies of cleansing, love, success, and wealth. It is also useful for divination. Oshun loves this plant.
Rosemary (Romero) - Remembering the Dead and necromancy, love, promoting long relationships, purification, cleansing, uncrossing, and creating bonds.
Prodigiosa (Siempre Viva) - A powerful consecration herb. Brings positive energy, good luck, and long life.
Marshmallow (Malva) - Cleansing, a herb associated with the Dead and ancestors, love rituals, purity.
Basil (Albahaca) - This herb has everything! Money, love, success, potency, cleansing, jinx removal, road opening. Some say that Basil should be used alone or only with Florida Water because it is so powerful.
High John (Juan the Conquistador) - Removes obstacles, draws money, attracts a specific lover, good luck, lifts depression and confusion - therefore can cause it. High John is powerful in black magic.
Licorice Root (Raíz de Regaliz) - I use this root for everything! Sweetening people and love, control or commanding, an herb for cleansing and drawing, protection and shielding, and amplification of power.
Rose (Rosas) - The best! Roses draw everything and are intoxicating. Love is their dominion. But they can be used for any positive ritual.
Devil's Claw (Garra de Diablo) - Prosperity and abundance, increased vitality, binding, banishing, protection from negative energy, purification, invoking demons.
Bay Laurel (Laurel) - Top favorite herb! I use it for breaking hexes and cleansings as well as protection, luck and manifestation. It is a powerful visionary herb.
Cinnamon (Canela) - A versatile herb. I use it in my omeiros, for both of my Orisha mothers. It is widely used for love, money, passion, success, business. I add it to road opening too.
Hyssop (Hisopo) - I have a lot of cleansing herbs! But hyssop takes the cake. Its par excellence. Removes blockages. This herb literally strips everything off of you, good and bad. A sweet herb bath needs to be followed up. Baths utilizing hyssop shouldn't be greater than 8 minutes, can cause headaches for sensitive people.
Solomon's Seal (Sello de Salomón) - Drive away negative vibrations and malicious spirits, summons helpful spirits and elementals, increases wisdom, consecration, and binding oaths - especially with Goetic spirits.

Kufwa Oil
Kufwa means "to die." This is my dangerous Kufwa oil. It has nothing to do with any hoodoo recipe. This has palos, not herbs in it.

Wondering & Debating
Tumblr media
NOT a hoodoo spell. And THIS is how herbs go on a candle. Powdered, NOT whole! 😂
Okay. Hear (or read) me out. Years ago, about 10 years...someone from a prominent hoodoo site tried to ruin my Etsy store's reputation because I accidentally used one of their images. They put my store up on their site and called me a fraud. I had no idea the image was was theirs and I took it down. They refused to take the fraud shit down. I did a spell and it fucking disappeared. So I ain't crazy about hoodoo.
I realize that hoodoo is supposed to be of African descent, but not as it is presently, no. It differs greatly from the practices that I've learned. And no, sorry - Lucky Mojo isn't the be all to end all. Real hoodoo that I know utilizes Lẹ̀, in Yoruba - or in Spanish, palos, meaning sticks. I don't know Kikongo. So I'll use Spanish or Yoruba.
So I've read that Devil's Shoestring and herbs like Rue, Wormwood and Comfrey are good for protection from evil. I know they are very powerful, but I also know that there is a palo that is very powerful that has much older associations that go not only back to Africa, but we can also get it in America and Europe. It has awesome power of protection from evil and hexes and it is sacred to the Orisha Obatala who owns this plant. Known as Saúco, or Elder, this palo precedes the hoodoo herbs that you usually find listed online. Africans had been using Elder longer than the Celts, it does appear.
So much for authenticity in hoodoo. I don't believe Devil's Shoestring, Wormwood, or Comfrey were available in Africa. Elder doesn't have a quirky name, so I suppose its not hoodoo? Lol! It does have nicknames. Its just that ppl go insane if something doesn't match "the culture" and I'm just showing that a tree that most think is European is also in Africa, used for not only protection, but also purity/purification (Obatala), wisdom (also Obatala), divination (Orunmila or Ifá the Sage diviner), healing (again Orunmila, as the Divine Physician), fertility and renewal.
I'm not against hoodoo, its just not my cup of tea the way ppl practice it today. I originally learned hoodoo from a Wicca book and it was better than most stuff that I see online. That was 1993 though. 🤔 And not a Llewellyn book, actually a Citadel book. Still got a copy.
Just wanted to say that palos actually are a lot stronger than herbs. Sticks hold more "juice" than herbs and so do roots. Herbs are the weakest. Berries should only be used when fully dried and best in hanging bags or in concealment. Disagree if you will. I have 30 years of herbalism experience. I love Yoruba ewe which I'm learning. I fell in love with Prodigiosa, the mighty consecration ewe because of Ifá and other African practices that I've learned. I'm not just book learned. I had training in Ifá. 😊 And...sooo many years of Palo now!
One may ask where to find knowledge about the palos. Sorry! Very hard! Its in Spanish but I have no books. Its also called a Tata, or Palo priest. No books in English. The ewe, are probably in books. Some Santeria books have information, though with good authors like Migene Gonzalez-Whippler, the plants are in Spanish. And not able to translate because they are not native. Even Santero/Palero Carlos Montenegro, much is in Spanish or you have to read between the lines or...is totally missing! He has the best candle color correspondences I've seen besides Charmaine Gray though! The correspondences here on tumblr leave much to be desired.
Off topic!
If anyone wishes to disagree with my words, make a comment but please no rude insults or accusations. Civility reigns here at Hexe's.

Remember...
Tumblr media
My muertos altar.
Just some thoughts...
Remember! When it comes to herbs, there are many cultures. There are lots of magical herb books written by regular white folks that try to cover other places besides America and Europe. But they are rather poor, I have to say. Many of the things that I have learned were not written by these regular folks, but by Latinos and Africans from scarce sources that I just "happened" to find. If I wasn't meant to learn these things, I wouldn't have found them. And I never have picked up hoodoo practices from any person in any African Traditional Religion, because they don't use it.
Not as far as I was taught. I mentioned on my other blog that my Babalawo in Ifá, Ifaleye, said that hoodoo is not allowed because it is sorcery. Not one person liked my post on the African Witches, the Ajé. Really interesting post, too! Yeah, so basically no "magic" in some ATR's? Kind of. There's veiled magic with candles, baths, prayers and Orikis, and also hidden in the sacred Odu. But the Odu is difficult, got to find the right ones and there's 16 Major Odu and 256 minor Odu. Good luck! Anyhoo!
I have found such joy from the Latino community here, where I live. I have loved the grocery stores with mini botanicas in them, medicinal teas, produce, their restaurant - right down to the trustworthy jeweler who said my gold was hollow. Just a great community here. I love Spanish and I'm learning it. I gravitate around ppl who are religious, have big families, and accept me for me. My muerto also is in there. Lol. Rodolfo says he's Mexican and doesn't favor other terms. I tried to use them but he's like no, no, no I won't answer to that...that...shit!
I cannot argue with my Taurus muerto. Stubborn! He'd be 59 now. Ah, well. If you'd like more "Necro-Adventures" my other blog has lots of great info and my personal exploits with necromancy and my path, Muerteria. Here:
Sorry for the blah blah. Hope ppl don't think I'm some weird negative race thing, cos I'm not! I love all humans, every color, every sex or no sex. Everyone equally! I am simple. Hatred takes up way too much energy and time, so I'm not a hater.

Consecration Wash (Lavado de Consagración)
This is my super powerful consecration wash. I will put stars *** by the ingredients that are pretty much only available on Etsy.
This can be used for any item you wish. Just be wary of light colored objects and soaking too long. This wash is boiled and turns brown.
Prodigiosa (aka "Always Alive" or "Brickella")***
Malva (Marshmallow root)
Algodon (Cotton leaves)***
White Lily or Rose petals (dry is fine)
Elder Flowers or Palo Sauco Blanco, do NOT use berries!!
Optional: Agua Colonia 1800 (do NOT cook!!!)
Optional: Rain Water or Serene Water (do NOT cook!!!)
I've said before that I just "wing it," that I rarely measure. I use about 1/4 of a cup of herbs to 16 oz of water. I cannot be certain if I use more herbs. Lol. I just eyeball it.
I only cook the herbs for about 7-12 minutes. When boiling, you don't need to go that long to get the essence of the herbs. When cooked, strain the herbs from the liquid and let the mixture cool off. Very important, don't bother the mixture when hot! The potent energies need to rest, like the turkey on Thanksgiving.
When cool, add the rain water (a little, best if its May rain water!) or Serene Water and a bit of Agua Colonia 1800. The cologne will modify the brown color of the brew because of the alcohol content.
What is Serene Water???
It is a way to make water holy water without a church or buying endless bottles online. I learned it from working Yoruba rites. Its not a secret, it just takes a bit of searching.
What you need:
Water
A clear jar without lid (keep it safe for later)
A cover on top of jar so nothing gets in (cheesecloth, paper towel) and something to keep cover on (a tie, rubber band)
A wooden surface outdoors or something wooden on the ground, like a box - MUST be outdoors!! It must not be touched!!
Place the covered jar of water on the wooden surface after dark. In the Winter months, 8 pm is good. Summer has to be later, about 10:30-11:00 pm. Leave the jar of water outside until 6 am in the Winter. 5:00 am in the Summer. Pick up the water and put the lid on the jar. Label it! 😊
This is powerful water, nothing like celestial waters of the moon or sun. It depends on the times when most ppl are quiet and at rest. This makes the water Serene. And therefore, holy. Try it! Its good stuff. Really good for the Consecration Wash above.

Rompe Hechizos (Break Spells)
Boton de Oro (Marigold)
Canela (Cinnamon)
Palo Dulce (Licorice root)
Palo Rompe Zaraguey (Yerba Mate)
Agua Florida (Florida water)
Boil the herbs and add Florida water after. Also add Brandy to extend life of brew. Goes well in a glass spray bottle. Don't use plastic.
Excellent recipe, does break spells and hexes if worn. It "sweetens" the person sending negativity.
