Today—
Today, I didn’t rush myself. I woke up and moved slowly. I went to shower and then went out. I walked slowly and just let busy people pass by me. I even stood on the right side of the escalator instead of using the left side this time. I didn’t rush. I waited for the next jeepney to arrive; I didn't push my way in. I even waited for another elevator to open when I arrived at work. I was alone inside; it felt good. I didn’t rush today. I ate slowly, savored my meal, and then got to work.
I went home today and I didn’t rush. I waited for the next jeepney, stood on the right side of the escalator, walked slowly, and let busy people pass by me. I didn’t rush today. I even sat down on the train going home. It felt good. I didn’t rush today. It felt good not rushing sometimes.

Figuring Life at 27
Life at 27 is a fascinating maze of experiences, where each twist and turn offers its own set of challenges and revelations. It's a time when friends are embarking on seemingly divergent paths – some are getting married, some are starting families, and others are achieving remarkable success in their careers or businesses. Meanwhile, there are those of us who are still navigating the uncertainties and complexities of adulthood, feeling like we're perpetually stuck in the process of "figuring it all out.”
While it's easy to get caught up in comparing our own journey to those of our peers, it's essential to remember that life doesn't adhere to a rigid timeline. Just because some of our friends are reaching traditional milestones doesn't mean we're falling behind. Each of us is on our unique trajectory, shaped by our individual aspirations, circumstances, and choices.
At 27, I find myself in the midst of this balancing act – grappling with the pressure to have it all figured out while simultaneously embracing the beauty of uncertainty. While some days it feels like I'm lagging behind, other days are filled with a sense of liberation, knowing that I have the freedom to explore different paths and possibilities.
One of the most significant challenges of navigating life at 27 is reconciling societal expectations with personal aspirations. On one hand, there's the pressure to conform to traditional norms of success – settling down, climbing the corporate ladder, or achieving financial stability. On the other hand, there's the inner yearning for authenticity and fulfillment, even if it means veering off the beaten path.
As friends celebrate milestones and accomplishments, it's natural to feel a twinge of envy or self-doubt. However, I've come to realize that success is subjective and multifaceted. While some measure success in terms of tangible achievements, others define it by the richness of experiences, depth of relationships, or alignment with one's values and passions.
In the midst of uncertainty, I've found comfort in the journey itself – in the lessons learned, the growth experienced, and the connections forged along the way. Life at 27 may not have all the answers, but it's a beautiful tapestry of highs and lows, victories and setbacks, all contributing to the intricate mosaic of who we are becoming.
So here's to embracing the messy, imperfect journey of figuring life out at 27 – to trusting in the process, honoring our own pace, and finding joy in the pursuit of meaning and authenticity. After all, the most profound discoveries often emerge from the depths of uncertainty.

Title: Embracing the Shadows: The Liberation of Anonymous Writing
In the quiet corners of expression, I discovered my haven—silence, anonymity, and the dance of words. As I reflect on my journey of sharing through the art of silent writing, a profound transformation emerges. From the safety of shadows, I am now poised to reveal my thoughts, but not my identity—a decision fueled by the confidence found in the embrace of the unknown.
The pen, my silent confidante, witnessed the unspoken fears, dreams, and confessions that thrived in the shelter of anonymity. The absence of a known persona allowed my writing to be unburdened, a canvas where vulnerability intertwined with strength. In the cocoon of silence, I found comfort—a space unbound by judgment, a realm where my words spoke louder than any identity ever could.
As the chapters of my sharing journey unfolded, a subtle realization emerged. The strength derived from anonymity became a catalyst for self-discovery and expression. Yet, with each penned word, a yearning to be acknowledged for the thoughts, not the person, blossomed. It was this paradox that propelled me towards a crossroads—a choice between the silent safety of shadows and the confident unveiling of my words.
Now, standing at the precipice of revelation, I've decided to step into the light but not to relinquish the power of the unknown. The decision to reveal my thoughts while guarding my identity is a declaration—a commitment to authenticity without the constraints of recognition. Confidence, for me, thrives in the ability to share openly without the burden of personal scrutiny.
This journey isn't about exposure; it's about embracing the duality of self-expression. My identity remains a secret, a silent pact with the words that flow from my pen. As I embark on this new chapter, I invite you to join me—a celebration of the strength found in silence and the courage to share without the necessity of being known.
The silent writer endures, not shrouded in mystery but empowered by the assurance that true confidence lies in the freedom to express, unencumbered by the trappings of identity. Let the words echo, for they carry the weight of shared experiences, unmarked by the need for a face or a name.

I’ve been grappling with sleepless nights for weeks now, and it’s taking a toll on both my physical and emotional well-being. The frustration of not being able to sleep has led me to tears more times than I can count. 😭😭

Lost in the Shadows: The Pain of Unchosen Love
In the dimly lit corners of our hearts, there exist stories untold, wounds unhealed, and aching echoes of unspoken words. Love, a force both powerful and unpredictable, can weave a tale that leaves us shattered and questioning the very essence of our being. This is a story of love lost, a heartbroken soul left in the shadows of unchosen affection. Her world was a canvas painted with the hues of anticipation, each stoke of emotion creating a masterpiece of dreams. In the spotlight of her affections stood a man, a beacon of hope in a sea of uncertainty. But alas! fate had its own plans, and the narrative took a cruel twist. He chose another, more beautiful, sexier, and hopefully kinder. Days turned into nights, and nights turned into lonely contemplation. The world outside continued its relentless march, but her world stood still, frozen in the moment of rejection. The sunsets painted a melancholic picture, mirroring the hues of her bruised heart. The echoes of his laughter, once a melody, now reverberated as a painful reminder of what could have been. In the depth of her despair, she grappled with the absence of closure. There were no tidy lessons, no silver linings to be found in the wreckage of her emotions. The pain was real, and the wounds were deep. She was adrift in a sea of unchosen love, a sailor without a compass, lost in the vastness of her own emotions. Yet, amidst the despair, there lingered a silent hope-- a flicker of light in the darkness. For in the vast tapestry of human experience, healing is an inevitable thread. Though the path may be obscured for now, time has a way of stitching together the torn fabric of the heart. But in this moment, she remained entangled in the web of pain, with no sight of recovery that awaited her. The story of unchosen love is not always adorned with silver linings and epiphanies. Sometimes, it's raw and unfiltered narrative of heartbreak, a chapter in the book of life that refuses to conform to tidy resolutions. As she navigates the labyrinth of her emotions, one thing remains certain --- the pain of unchosen love is a testament to the depth of her capacity to feel, a poignant reminder that, in time, even the darkest shadow must yield to the dawn of a new day. - heybcd

The Battle we don't share
Hey there! It's not often that we talk about the moments when we feel most alone, the times we break down and struggle to find a way out. For a long while, I've been fighting a battle that's largely unseen- a battle for my own survival, a battle against the feeling of utter loneliness. There have been countless instances where I broke down, feeling like I was the only one navigating the storm. Those moments, when it seemed like no one was around to offer a helping hand or a comforting word, were some of the toughest. It's in those moments of solitude that the fight for survival feels most daunting. Every day becomes a battlefield, a struggle to keep moving forward. Each sunrise feels like a victory, and yet, the nights can be the most daunting of adversaries. But I've come to realize that it's okay to admit when things are tough, when the weight feels unbearable. Despite the loneliness, I've learned that the resilience found in fighting for one's life is an extraordinary strength. It's a strength that goes unnoticed because it's often a silent battle, fought within the confines of one's own mind and heart. But remember this: even when it feels like there's no one around you, your fight is seen and felt, There's an incredible power in your struggle, and in sharing this, you're not only acknowledging your own bravery but offering a glimpse of hope to others who might fighting a similar battle. If you ever felt your fighting alone, remember that there are unseen connections between those who fight similar battles. Your story, your perseverance, and your strength can be a beacon of hope for someone who's fighting in the shadows. Stay strong because the courage it takes time to fight every day is an extraordinary feat. And when you feel like there's no one there, know that your story matters, your fight is seen, and you are not alone. You are stronger than you think! I wanna thank anyone who never left my side, even when I was struggling, who never gave up on me no matter how hard it was to be with me, for helping me in every aspect of my life, for telling me not to give up and I am not alone, who's constantly there in every battle I take until this moment. I am forever grateful!
