Lady Gaga’s “Joanne” hits all the right notes, messages, and is quite possibly one of my favorite albums...ever.

After three years since her last album, Lady Gaga has finally dropped her latest masterpiece, titled “Joanne”, and it may just be one of my favorite albums OF ALL TIME.
The sound of this record is something I’ve always sought for from gaga. I always heard such a raw, genuine, unique tone in her voice that I always felt was covered by dance beats and fist-pumping rhythms (which isn’t bad, but it didn’t showcase her voice as much as I’d hoped). “Joanne” gives the impression of music being recorded in an empty room, just Gaga, a guitar, and a purpose. And I couldn’t be more in love with it.
The album hits all the right notes, spreading messages the world needs to hear, and proving the power of a guitar and voice. To say I’ve fallen in love with this album isn’t enough. This album inspires me. This album will inspire you.
Some of my favorite tracks include “Come to Mama”, “Hey Girl (feat. Florence Welch)”, and “Just Another Day”, not to mention “Million Reasons”, a song that has grown on me so much that I find myself empty when I’m not listening to it.
You can stream Lady Gaga’s “Joanne” now on any major streaming service.

Daya, the 17-year old pop sensation just released her debut album, “Sit Still, Look Pretty”. And it’s legit.

Daya’s debut album “Sit Still, Look Pretty” proves she’s a gentle badass, with the intention of domination.
I’ll be completely honest here. I wasn’t expecting all too much from Daya’s debut album, as I’ve listened to her EP many times and even though I enjoyed it a lot, these pre-released songs made up about half of the album. But, I was completely wrong to not expect much. The album, titled “Sit Still, Look Pretty” after her most recent success, ties together her whole image for me. I feel like I know who she is now, how she feels, and I already sense a new maturity in her voice from when she released “Hide Away” months ago. I feel it could be best described as a gentle-badass collection of songs that I either want to fist pump or interpretive dance to.
The album has an ideal variation of songs that could be played in the club, with ballads where Daya proves that she isn’t meant for just collaborations with The Chainsmokers. After listening, I really appreciated her so much more as an artist and look forward to watching her continue to grow.
She really isn’t a one-hit-wonder, as I’m sure many people believed her to be after the success of “Hide Away”. Daya serves as a voice for the younger generation, proving that age doesn’t matter in the industry. She turns 18 later this month (I looked it up because I genuinely didn’t believe she was only 17). At such a young age, I’m excited to watch Daya evolve into a musician, taking over the world.
My favorite tracks: “I.C.Y.M.I.”, “Back to Me”, “Dare”, “Words”
