Chapter 3
"Ron? I told you to go!" You panicked pushing him slightly so you could close the door behind you. It was obvious that he definitely heard everything that was spoke of inside the classroom. "Why were you listening in?" Annoyance prominent in your voice.
"I just wanted to make sure the dungeon bat wasn't going to scream at you for no reason! I mean he did make you stay behind for nothing!" Ron tried. "I-I didn't realise that -that was going to happen!" Ron explained.
"Brilliant. Can today get any worse?" You held your face in your hands shaking your head.
"Sorry, y/n."
"It's okay. Just promise me you won't breathe a word of this to anyone." You sighed.
"Of course. Promise." He nodded.
You started walking away, Ron following behind. "So...you have a thing for the dungeon bat then?" He whispered in your ear. "And here I was thinking no one could ever fancy him. He's mad."
"Ron. Listen to me." You stopped in your tracks. "Please stop talking about it. This is the single most humiliating thing that has ever happened to me, I just want to get to my dorm and never leave. In fact, I might just leave Hogwarts and never come back."
"Stop being dramatic. It's not that bad. Besides, you have to come down to eat tonight."
"Oh great yeah. And see him there? I don't think so." You nervously laughed as you began walking again.
Ron's face turned mischievous with a cunning smile.
"I know that face! That's the face you make when you have a plan. What ever it is I'm not doing it." You pre warned him.
"Just hear me out. You like him and there's nothing saying he doesn't like you-or that you can't at least make him like you."
"Where is this going?"
"Tonight, when we go for food in the great hall, wear something that he wouldn't be able to resist you in."
"Ron!" You chuckled nudging him slightly.
"No I'm serious!" He laughed back.
"Not happening." You taunted as you reached the common room. "Besides. He doesn't like me and never will. Even if he did, I'm a student and nothing could come of it."
"But that's where you're wrong, y/n, we are in our final year. There's not exactly long to wait before you could date. And he'd be stupid to not go for you."
"If I didn't class you as a brother I would say you were flirting with me." You joked.
Ron made a face of disgust. "Yeah that's pretty grim. I'm not sure if you just realised what you said then."
"Shut up." You laughed. "See you later." You waved as you walked into your common room.

Chapter 2
The class had come to an end as had the school day. Everyone had finished gathering their books and quills, stuffing them into their bags as quickly as they could so they could begin their weekend.
"I can wait for you, if you want." Ron chucked his bag over his shoulder.
"No. You go ahead, who knows how long I will be here for." You sighed. "Thank you, though."
"See you later then?"
"Of course." You smiled as your friend made his way out of the class.
Only when you heard the bang of the wooden door shut did it occur to you that you were now alone with Snape. Your back was facing him in the piercing silence, your heart beating so loud you were scared he could hear it. Mustering the courage from somewhere, you turned to your professor, noticing how he stood straight, facing you already, waiting for you.
Neither of you said a word and your eyes connected for what seemed like an eternity. You wished he would say something or at least back down from this staring contest you had found yourself in but he was persistent. Unwavering.
He looked gorgeous in the soft light of the dungeons as you were loosing yourself in his eyes. You should be scared but this was the sort of lost that felt exactly like being found. You wanted to touch him. Him to touch you. To kiss h-
"Stop it." Finally, he spoke, brows furrowed.
"Stop what, professor?" You swallowed a lump you didn't realise was there as he edged closer to you.
"You do realise I can-" he cut himself off, still getting closer.
"Y-you can what?"
"Hear you." He continued, practically arms reach away.
"Well, yes." You laughed. "I should hope so or you would be deaf." Unaware of what he meant.
His fist slammed down on the table next to you. "You ignorant girl." He sneered.
You jumped slightly, startled with his outburst. "I-I'm sorry, professor." You finally let your eyes fall away from his and to the ground.
You wasn't sure what you had done but you knew you hadn't meant to upset him. You could never do that to him. The very idea itself upset you.
"Your thoughts are so loud!" He finally admitted. "Louder than anyone else."
"My thoughts, sir?" Realisation slowly coming to you.
His hand slightly lifted to you and then quickly fell back to his side as if scolding himself. "I am skilled in Legilimency, miss y/l/n."
Embarrassed was an understatement. Your face was heating up and you could only guess your cheeks had turned pink in colour. "I-I can explain!" You tried as every thought you previously had came rushing into your mind. Realising that he would be able to hear the review of your thoughts too you shouted, "get out of my head!" Pushing your hands onto your ears as hard as you could as if to block him some how, tears forming in your eyes threatened to spill so you scrunched them shut. You attempted to block every thought but all that was happening instead was the notion of the reality that you knew you held feelings for a man that would never even so much as bat an eye your way. Your professor. You would have to be stupid to even think for a second that-stop! You were cursing yourself internally now in a mental battle.
"Y/n." Snape spoke as if you may break and, just like that, the thoughts stopped. "Look at me." His hands grabbing at yours still placed on either side of your head. "It's okay. It's a crush and it will pass. It has to miss y/l/n. It is unheard of for a student to like a professor."
"But what if I don't want it to pass." You sighed, eyes wide in disbelief of what you just said. "I mean-" you tried.
"Go to your common room, rest. You will realise by Monday that this is a passing phase. Either that or I will erase it from your mind."
You turned to grab your things and leave just as a singular tear ran down your cheek. "P-please don't."
Just then his hand grabbed at your wrist not allowing you to exist the classroom. His thumb stroking your y/s/c knuckles.
His hands were surprisingly soft, not at all like you had believed them to be. How long you had craved for his touch. Strange how he held you for so long leaving gentle circles on the back of your hand but the thought of you having a crush on him was enough to want to erase your memories.
"I spoke out of term. I shouldn't have said that and I won't do it."
"Thank you." With that, you opened the door to leave the classroom, Snape releasing you from his grip, only to be greeted with Ron who clearly had been listening in. His face flushed.

Chapter 1
This was your final year at Hogwarts and so far it had been pretty plain sailing if you did say so yourself. You were set for straight A's in all your classes and had managed to stay out of trouble with pretty much everyone at Hogwarts.
Even tough you were in Slitherin you didn't stop yourself from being friends with students in the other houses, unlike Draco on the other hand. In particular, you had become the closest of friends with Ron Weasley, you even classed him as a brother, but everyone else liked to believe you were both secretly an item. Which, of course, you weren't.
"Turn to page 394." Snape instructed his Defence against the Dark Arts class, you being a pupil in this lesson. The sound of pages turning filled the other wise silent classroom as the processor walked up and down between the rows of students intimidatingly tall.
"Hey, y/n, what do you think the dungeon bat would do if I cast a spell on him?" Ron whispered and chuckled at you. Snape stopped in his tracks, head turning round slightly in your direction to the back of the classroom.
"Ron, shh, you know he can hear us, right?" Your eyes lifting from your book to Snapes general direction, your voice barely audible.
"Come on, lighten up a bit. It's only a joke." The ginger retracted. "Besides, it would only backfire on me anyway." Ron lifted up his broken wand and gagged recalling what happened the last time he tried that.
"Again? What did you do this time?" You rolled your eyes at the sorry sight of his wand.
"Sat on it, didn't I." He snickered with embarrassment.
"Mr. Weasley, I suggest you focus on the lesson before I make you use that snapped twig of yours. A certain spell containing slugs comes to mind." His monotone voice bellowed through the classroom earning a few laughs from the rest of the class and another gag from your friend. "10 points from Griffindor." Ron and his fellow Griffindors groaned to which Snape sent them a harsh glare.
"Y-yes, professor." The ginger boy sank down in his chair.
"See, told you he could hear." You chuckled, nudging his arm. "And, for the record, if you did use a spell on Snape, you might as well Avada Kedavra yourself." You joked as your gaze fell back to your professor, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth which was barely noticeable and vanished within an instant but you saw it.
Something about Snape pulled you towards him and always had really ever since you began at Hogwarts. A feeling that burned inside and no matter how hard you tried to snuff the flame it would relight burning stronger than before. You couldn't deny his looks which most perceived odd but you found undeniably handsome. But more than that, you always felt that under his hard exterior there was a kinder man, possibly a broken one, you could see the saddens in his eyes. And you craved to touch him and possibly fix the professor who held sorrow behind his stern face.
"Miss, y/l/n," Snape started, "see me after class."
"W-why?" Confusion prominent in your voice as the rest of the class looked between the two of you, equally confused.
"Not another word." Snape spun on his heel facing the front of the classroom leaving nothing but Ron giving you a sympathetic look and you to contemplate what happened for the rest of the lesson.
