Hi! Just stumbled across your Tumblr and just wanted to say your art is super pretty! I love your style and the colours you use are so ethereal. Lovely stuff <3
٩(^ᴗ^)۶ thank you so much for your support and compliment!! I like that they appear ethereal, I’ve been trying to learn a lot about lighting w colors lately :))) 💖

Art summary for 2020
My biggest takeaway was finally learning how to paint characters on a single layer rather than separate each color into its own layer. As well as merging the lineart into that layer. It has felt very liberating, and I can see a change in the style compared to last year :>

i really admire your art ;o; the lines are so fluid, the colouring is top-notch and i really can’t stop staring at it! you’ve inspired me to pick up drawing again sjsjsk ;w; if you don’t mind me asking, what are the procreate brushes you use? o: and do you have any tutorials or tips for a beginner artist? i wanna try drawing on the app but i wasn’t sure where to start ahahaha. i hope you have a good day/night!! ♡
Hi! Thank you so so much! omg it’s always an honor to hear that my work can be inspiring :’D <3
I’ve answered the brush one before so I’ll link it here :3
The most helpful thing for me is simply scribbling figures a lot. In many different poses over and over (with references to help) I do this several times a week and it’s a good way to train your brain to grasp the form better :)
Also be sure to look up any Procreate user interface guides on YouTube, bc it has a lot of hidden gems in the UI that make it much easier to use!

How do u make everything look so sof 🥺🥺
I am unsure what you mean specifically but I’m told my coloring is soff so I will focus on that ´・ᴗ・`
I apply gradients first as if it all looked airbrush before using more finer brushes to get in the sharper shadows. I think that aids a lot to the soffness, & I try to not let the finer shading overpower the gradient layout
I hope this helps 😅💦💦💦!

I really admire how you do lines, did you learn them from anyone/book in specific?
Thank you!
I’m not entirely sure what you meant specifically but if you mean figures, a friend lent me a copy of How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way and the chapters that focused on figure drawing really changed my thought process. It emphasizes curve and movement first before adding in the smaller details
I hope this answers your question!

Thank you very much @tehawkwardartist :) I’m glad people enjoy those videos!
Here it is sped up to about 1min 20sec.
At one point, I was streaming it with some close friends so I wrote jokes on it which show up 😅😅😅😅

I adore your FE3H pieces... Your coloring style makes me think of... I dunno, soft Alphonse Mucha, if that makes any sense at all? It has such a comforting vibe.
Thank you (´⌣`ʃƪ)! Alphonse Mucha has always been one of my favs and I take a lot of inspo from his work! I love the whimsical gentle look of it ✨
