Okay for the purpose of writing (👀 you shall see very soon) and so that the people can know more lore, how would Alphie react to siblings? Would he get on well with them, would he fuss over them like a big brother, what would his relationship with them be like? In my head, I picture him being so careful with a baby sibling, holding them very gently and saying nice things to them, and then just absolutely cat-fight wrecking them when they're older 😂 and I need to know if this is accurate

I actually feel pretty qualified to answer this question because (fun fact) in the first draft of this AU, Alphie was supposed to have like… five siblings. HAHAHAHA.

For example, here are some old sketches of a few of the siblings (you can kind of tell by the artstyle how old those sketches are), though Alphie was always meant to be the eldest:

And I’m gonna be honest with you, his dynamic with each one really depended on their personality and the age gap. For instance, the Izar one was the youngest of them all, so Alphie, even as a child, was already super protective of him, he’s basically looked after him since the crib. He would’ve been really sweet and gentle with him, especially because Izar has a naturally quiet and sensitive nature.

As for the Sirius one… They would’ve been the classic pair of brothers constantly bickering over the dumbest things. (Big brain move from Regulus to name the son who is the most similar to him after Sirius 🤡🤡). I even remember writing that Regulus would often have to step in and settle their arguments, reminding them that they’re brothers and they need to have each other’s backs, kind of to make sure things don’t turn out like they did with Sirius and him. But when that sibling actually needed anything? Alphie would switch into big brother mode instantly, no questions asked.

And honestly, I think if Alphie had younger siblings, he’d probably put more pressure on himself. I can totally see him viewing himself as the pillar of the family in case anything ever happened to their father. He’d feel this constant alertness, like he has to be ready to take over and protect everyone at any moment 🥲. He’d see his siblings as his responsibility.

I ended up dropping the whole idea because not only would it have been an artistic and narrative nightmare to handle that many kids, but I really wanted to focus on the concept of Alphie being Regulus’s son and a mini Sirius. I felt like the single father & only child combo made their bond more unique and touching.

Poor Alphie , he could’ve ended up the eldest of a whole Quidditch team of siblings 😭. They even already had a bunch of name ideas lined up for the next ones: Sirius, Izar, Nihal, Lyra, etc.

And honestly, it’s kind of bold of the baby mama to want that many kids, especially a lot of audacity from her for those who HC her not even being the one carrying them 😭. (Also just a reminder that no headcanon is confirmed here. Even though I mentioned that Alphie is Regulus’ biological child, I only meant that in the sense that a DNA test would say they’re related/parent-child. The actual conception, whether accidentally magical, or accidentally natural, is totally up to interpretation and I won’t detail about it.)

If only their Horcrux research hadn’t backfired so badly that it ended with Regulus fleeing Egypt completely traumatized and moving back to England…

Harry does have a scar as you noticed! And he got it when he was 11 years old indeed.

I had mentioned that in this AU, even though Voldemort is no longer around, Harry has been experiencing visions since he was a child. These visions are pretty frightening; no kid wants to constantly have nightmares about their parents being murdered under a flash of green light huh 🥲.

Sometimes, he even has strange visions where he’s in an orphanage, at Hogwarts, in a cave surrounded by water, etc. I know that sleeping potions are prescribed to him, because those visions sometimes keep him from sleeping. The dreams/visions appear inconsistently though.

And it was during one of those visions that Harry accidentally hurt his forehead (take it how you will; falling, hitting something, etc).

He is not beating the main character allegations again

If it's not too much to ask, does Alphie know what kind of person his father was when he was growing up/in school? If he does, how does he feel about all that?

Another thing, regarding the Dark Mark, do you hc it still being visible (basically just like a normal tattoo) or did it fade to basically a scar after Voldemort's defeat? If it's still visible, how does Alphie feel about it?

I know your Regulus wanted to keep a lot of the Black family traditions but isn't necessarily a blood purist anymore, but does he still hold any of these prejudices deep down?

Last thing, although Alphie is basically Sirius, Regulus is his father, I guess I was just wondering if he's in anyway similar to how Regulus was growing up (in terms of thoughts, personality, behaviour, etc).

I remember seeing that question and thinking it was a really good one! I’ll try to answer everything, but it might be a long ride!

Does Alphie know what kind of person his father was when he was growing up/in school?

Alphie knows the basics, but not much detail. Regulus doesn’t share a lot about his past (maybe out of shame or wanting to protect him). Most of what Alphie knows comes from Sirius or Uncle Alphard. He’s aware that Regulus played the perfect heir role and that professors still comment on how a good student he was at school.

Regarding the Dark Mark; is it still visible, and how does Alphie feel about it?

I’m still figuring that out, but either way, Regulus has permanent scarring on that arm from Inferi and burns. He always keeps it covered, even around Alphie. Only Lily, Sirius, and maybe James have really seen it.

Alphie knows about the Mark and his father’s past, but he chooses to believe that people can change, and that Regulus leaving when he did was better than never. He also knows that his father was a key figure in Voldemort’s defeat through the Horcrux hunt.

One of the central themes in the relationship is question about if being an amazing father to Alphie is enough for Regulus to be a better person or not.

Does Regulus still hold onto any blood supremacy ideas deep down even after not being a Blood Purist anymore?

I think saying he’s completely unlearned all his internalized prejudices from the very core would be a bit idealistic.

Let’s say that his time in Egypt is what truly set things in motion. Regulus went from Anti-Voldemort (the cave) to Anti-Blood Supremacy (his time in Egypt).

The main reason was that he spent months living in a Muggle village, where he was truly humbled in many ways and he also built friendships with them.

I’d say the vast majority of his old biases are gone, but there are still things he needs to work through constantly.

Is Alphie similar to how Regulus was (in terms of thoughts, personality, behaviour, etc)?

I’d say the strongest resemblance between Alphie and Regulus lies in their values and priorities. Alphie is deeply attached to his family and legacy, and he has this ambition to eventually take over after his father, with the intent of “changing things in the Wizarding World.”

And I do think Alphie is more accepting of certain family traditions than Sirius ever was.

The Black brothers when Alphie asks them how was the Wizardling war/Horcrux hunt as if they both didn’t spend 4 whole days trapped together in the Chamber of Secrets fighting the Basilisk and eventually eating the non-venomous parts of its flesh out of starvation after killing it.

I guess that’s what happens when you try to kill a Basilisk without plot armor, a Phoenix’ help or Godric Gryffindor’s sword.

And yep, you totally guessed what happened with Harry and Alphie’s friendship 😭

They were super close as kids, but things shifted when they got sorted into different houses at Hogwarts. That distance grew even more when Harry became friends with fellow Gryffindors Ron and Hermione (I love the Golden Trio; I wouldn’t keep them together in this AU otherwise! And it’s not Harry’s fault he made friends in his own house).

Alphie didn’t take it well at first, feeling replaced. He definitely pulled pranks on Ron and Hermione to get Harry’s attention and prove he was the cooler, more fun friend.

To make things more complicated, Alphie got super popular over the years; hated by most of Slytherin, but adored by the rest of the school. Non-slytherins even cheer “Go Alphie!” instead of “Go Slytherins!” during Quidditch matches. Add that to his endless shallow friendships and all the people he’s dated…

Harry and Alphie still hang out, of course, and even do a loooot of pranks together when they can, but they’ve both grown into their own friend circles. (So see it as if they spend 50% of their time together while the other 50% with their other friends). Strangely though, every summer they go right back to being inseparable again.

And while Alphie’s jealous of Ron and Hermione, Harry completely loses it over Ashina, the werewolf girl Alphie befriended. None of Alphie’s other friends or flings ever made Harry this jealous, especially since the Marauders started projecting and seeing her as “Remus 2.0,” even shipping her with Alphie. ( I promise nothing ever happens lol )

Also yes! Alphie is pronounced as Alfie! ( Al-fee ? ). It’s how we pronounced it in French hahahah

Sometimes I forget that tattoos aren’t seen by others the same way they are in my culture.

I don’t even know how I could explain to people that my very traditional mother, instead of seeing Sirius’s tattoos as a sign of rebellion, actually sees them as a sign of beauty; she even told me he would’ve looked even better with facial tattoos too.
