baked brie with honey and toasted pine nuts:
You’ll find us hovering possessively over the baked brie at any party we’re invited to, but we have never tried making it ourselves. Until now. We #partnered with Dagoba, an Oregon-based company that specializes in making organic chocolates with a variety of unique flavors. This simple recipe we are sharing today simply uses fresh rosemary, a drizzle of honey, and toasted pine nuts, baked until ooey, gooey, and irresistibly delicious. It pairs perfectly with Dagoba’s bold Ginger Lime and Raspberry Mint chocolate bars, and when you include it in a decorative party platter alongside colorful items like rainbow carrots, dried fruits, and fresh berries, it makes a vibrant display which will act like a food-magnet at your next party! These special varieties of organic chocolate bars are only available at Target stores, so start planning your next soirée and tag #husbandsthatcook when you post pictures of your pretty party platters. Cheers to chocolate and cheese and to the new year! 🍫🧀🥂✨ (Recipe at http://www.husbandsthatcook.com/2018/01/baked-brie-with-honey-and-toasted-pine-nuts/)

stir-fry veggie lettuce wraps with ginger-garlic tofu
www.husbandsthatcook.com
Happy Thursday everyone! This one-pan, 15-minute meal is almost too good to be true. There’s no slicing, dicing, cutting, chopping, or peeling of any vegetables, and everything comes together in minutes. We #partnered with Taylor Farms to create a recipe using their Ginger Garlic Stir Fry Kit, and came up with something simple using just six extra ingredients. This convenient kit is a fresh blend of kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts, bok choy, cabbage, snow peas, and carrots. Once sautéed in the flavorful ginger garlic sauce that’s included in the package, we then add small bits of spicy tofu cooked in soy sauce, more ginger and garlic, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil. This savory, sweet, and spicy mixture is then added to crisp cups of lettuce, creating an Asian-inspired taco that is tangy and deliciously unexpected. Garnished with a drizzle of sriracha hot sauce and enjoyed with a cool beverage, your relaxing dinner plans await! (Recipe at husbandsthatcook.com) #TaylorFarms

pumpkin chocolate chip cookies:
www.husbandsthatcook.com
You would never guess that these rich and gooey chocolate chip cookies are vegan. Using almond butter, coconut oil, and water to replace the egg gives them an award-winning chewiness with perfectly crispy edges and a soft center. Warm with autumn spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice, these cookies are filled with pumpkin purée, lots of vanilla, and huge chunks of semi-sweet chocolate. Happy Fall! Happy Tuesday everyone! Pull up a chair and join us for a glass of wine on our front porch! #ad Los Angeles is starting to show signs of Fall as temperatures are finally cooling down to the mid-eighties! To celebrate this subtle seasonal change, we are toasting with a bottle of Magistrate, a robust Cabernet Sauvignon that we discovered at our local Ralphs, where they carry wines from all over the world, including 78 California varieties that are exclusive to their stores. If you saw yesterday’s Stories when Adam filled our entire shopping cart with bottles, you’ll know we had a tough time deciding which one to choose, but thankfully the staff at Ralphs helped us narrow our selections to a few local California wines, perfect to pair with cheese, fruit, and a crusty baguette! Now this is how you Tuesday! #LoveMyRalphs

pumpkin spice martini:
www.husbandsthatcook.com
Did you know that our cat Sylvia loves pumpkin? We’ve been feeding it to her as a treat since she was little, and now comes running into the kitchen every time we cook with it. If she consumed alcohol—she quit a few years back after starting a 12-step purr-ogram—she would adore this autumnal potation we are sharing today. It tastes like pumpkin pie in a glass—in fact, we use the exact same spice blend from our classic pumpkin pie recipe to make this deliciously-spiced cocktail, and the results were pumpkin perfect! Also, we have some fun news! Tune in to @thefeedfeed‘s Instagram today for this month’s exciting episode of Happy Hour with Husbands That Cook, and watch us make this fall-inspired cocktail along with a few surprises. There may even be a costume change—or four! Happy Saturday everyone! xoxo Adam and Ryan (Recipe at husbandsthatcook.com)

blistered shishito peppers with garlic and ginger:
www.husbandsthatcook.com
In Spain they are called pimientos de padrón. Simply sautéed with a little olive oil and salt, this traditional Spanish dish looks spicier than it appears. Similar to a green bell pepper, these thin fingerling fruits have a sweet flavor and a mild heat. We were feeling frisky and decided to doctor this tasty hors d'oeuvre up a bit—it is the weekend after all! With chopped garlic and ginger, a splash of sesame oil, and freshly squeezed lime, your Saturday snack situation just strengthened substantially. Tune in today at 12pm PST as we go live on Instagram and start the weekend off with some blistering peppers, just like it should. 🌶🔥🎉 (Recipe at husbandsthatcook.com)

blackberry peach cobbler with ginger-spice biscuits
www.husbandsthatcook.com
You spoke and we listened! Four days ago we proposed a question asking for recipe requests for Friday Live and our Scottish friend Ryan-Andrew suggested that we make something distinctly American—like a cobbler! Well we couldn’t help but sneak in one more peach recipe before Fall rolls around. Made with plump blackberries, fresh peaches, a sweet vanilla bean, and a splash of lemon juice, this recipe uses both brown and white sugar for extra flavor. Topped with warm and tender ginger-spice biscuits and a scoop of vanilla ice cream—of course—this dreamy end-of-summer treat with hints of cinnamon is true heaven in a skillet! (Recipe at husbandsthatcook.com) 🎥💕 Join us today Live on Instagram at 12pm PST as we welcome the first of September with a cobbler! See you at noon!

Yesterday we were invited to a cookbook release party at the Melissa's Produce headquarters! We toured their expansive warehouse, saw more fresh produce than we've ever seen in our lives, and tasted our very first mangosteen! Have you ever tried one? When you peel away the tough leathery skin, the soft white fruit inside looks like garlic cloves, but they taste sweet and tangy like a peach mixed with a strawberry! After our tour, they sent us home with armfuls of fresh produce, and we couldn’t wait to start cooking with it! Check out our Instagram Stories for all of yesterday’s adventures, including our reactions when we tried mangosteen for the very first time!
