It just wouldn't be right if we didn't include the Original mouse that started it all...Mickey mouse will somehow feature throughout all 5 pop up stands.

Last but not least Alice in wonderland.

This particular film has so many elements to showcase such as, the rabbit hole, tea party, queen of hearts, flamingos and playing about with small and big spaces. Hence why this would have its own store within the 5 mini pop ups. Initial ideas on Alice would be similar to a ‘fun fair fun house’ (Picture bellow)

Transport?

......I wasn't quite sure what to call this one, but there you go.

I also would include , ‘UP’ due to the fact it features a hot air balloon and peter pan as it features a boat. (Very odd grouping , but they are all means of transport). Initially ideas for this pop up section would be varying levels . For example seating high up could be balloons and the view bellow could be clouds, so when you look down you think your high above.

Of course we have Disney Princess

Walt Disney already puts their princess into a category. I guess would be up to me to find something symbolic between all of them that could represent them as one.

next we have a Inside out and Wall-E mash up

This particular idea may not have strong links. However what came to the mind was literally ‘the mind’. I had this cool idea of a scrap metallic brain. Due to the fact Inside out is about 5 emotions. I think the use of colour and lighting would be key

Starting us off!!! we have the Animal Kingdom.

I thought it was be easiest to group favourite animals from classic movies ad books, that are well know. I have managed to write down 24 classic films that feature memorable animals. However due to the fact that the re make of Jungle book has recently been released it means that it will take priority in initial designs. I would definitely be using raw materials and have discrete animal noises that they us in Disney parks.

Somehow I have to categorise all Disney movies/books , so I can showcase aspects from the film into 5 pop stores...

Its a big fat NO from the tutors, its fair to say they did not agree with where I was going with my project. It lacks “originality and creativity, due to the fact it was very literal” which is fair enough.

I will go back to the drawing board and look a Walt Disney stands for and understand why I am doing this....Disney is known worldwide therefore does not need to pop up store that promotes merchandise.

Initial Narnia pop up book store ideas

The idea was to create a pop up Narnia book store providing enough space so that the children could have a quite read. I want the store to be an interactive experience for the children.

What comes to my mind when I think of pop up/ kiosk is.... Market stalls

My hometown East London is notoriously known for having booming market locations. Such as Romford, Stratford and Upton Park. I am going to use this a basic starting point for researching into different types Commercial Design Studio.
