Frankie’s comment: I cried. I laughed. I loved. I smiled. I adored them. This fic is so damn profound. I loved the writer’s style, how the story flows quickly but slowly at the same time. There are objectively a lot of time skips for obvious reasons but each and every one of them are perfectly place so that the story never feels abruptly cut of or too prolonged. And of course how could we not mention their love. Finally! Finally a story where their first time isn’t rough and horny but realistically clumsy and experimental. I loved it. More than that actually, it’s honestly the best first time scene I’ve ever come across. I’m really looking forward to more fics in the series. Check out the two sequels as well.

But when a wise old lady with a fascinating quirk decides to help him and Izuku deal with their fucked up history and repressed feelings, well, maybe this years wasn’t such a waste of time after all.

Frankie’s comment: Oh. My. God. First of all, endless rounds of applause for the author because I think this fic is maybe the second one in all of the shit ton of fics I’ve read that gave me goosebumps for how fucking amazingly it’s written. I love how you think, I loved the images you portrayed, the emotions you conveyed and how powerful your words could be. I loved that it was real, and it was raw. I loved their love and their hatred and the fact that it wasn’t black or white but a multitude of fucked up messy smears. I loved the concept of a bond strong like lightning between two poles, I think it’s beautiful and very creative, and describes them accurately. And I loved how you resolved it, two paths that lead to the same conclusion. Like a reversed Sliding Doors. I love it You are amazing.

He doesn’t get mopey nor is depressed for all the shit he’s put through, and instead of just wanting to be a hero in general he is dead set on being a quirkless hero, which is understandably a hell of a lot harder. We also have a beautiful character development for Katsuki and a bunch of cute interaction starring Supportive Katsuki and head-over-heels-in-love Izuku👌😍🧡💚

Summary: Deep in the mountains, in a place where cold and snow abound, Katsuki is one of the warriors who guard the village. One night, he helps an omega who is being attacked by a pack of wolves and, very unlike himself, lets the stranger rest at his hut. Izuku wants to be a warrior, is hopeless when it comes to cooking, and spoils their pets (ram and wolf) way too much. Moreover, his personality is fierce enough to go toe to toe with Katsuki, yet he has such kindness and warmth he just might be able to finally make certain alpha’s heart melt.

Frankie’s comment: I liked this fic so much because it’s extremely well written. The character description is to the point, without needlessly long background stories, yet through the descriptions I felt like I was interacting with the characters myself. That is how well it’s written. Plus it’s funny but it’s not just crack, the story is well structured and the misunderstandings between the two are heartwarming instead of angsty and frustrating😂 Truly a beautiful Winter AU bkdk fic🧡💚

Frankie’s comment: This fic is extremely self-indulgent. No angst, just “what would have happened if everything went right”. The author saved everybody and tbh that’s exactly the kind of stress-less, angst-less easy-read I sometimes like to indulge in. I love all the characters so much I would want to save all of them if I could too. If I had to say something I didn’t really fancy about the fic is the huge time-skips that came out of nowhere. Like one second Kats and Izu are 4yo and the next sentence they are in middle school, and abruptly it’s UA. My reaction was like “what? oh..oh ok years passed…but how…well ok…” The smut at the end came out of left field too but, well, I’m never gonna say no to a self-indulgent, smutty, lovey-dovey happy ending😂
