Piers Nivans x Reader
Part 3
"I'll be back." With a heavy breath, Piers put her down on one of the pods in the rest quarters that he have found not far from the current area they're in but not near enough for him to not have some little breaks in between.
She groaned once she felt the soft touch of the foam, but for her, she felt like laying in a bed of sharp rocks. Her eyes stayed shut as Piers straightened his back while looking down at her in awe and worried.
"There must be a vaccine they've made." Piers whispered to himself and looked around the room until he stopped in front of the desk. He picked up a folder that contained a memo on it.
"B antigen serum and A serum" Piers read outloud the memo, his brows knitting together as he tried to understand the words printed in the memo.
"I have to make it myself?" Piers asked loudly that it echoes across the room. A groaned from the woman made Piers turn his head in her direction.
"Shit, sure... If that'll make her better." Piers folded the paper to fit it on his pocket before walking over to the pod, he brushes his fingers to her locks. Looking down at her, watching her face grimmace from the pain she's been experiencing for an hour now. He breathed in before letting it all out, pulling himself away from her as he ventured to the abyss of the laboratory of Umbrella.
"She's not answering." Leon grunted as he clicked his tongue in frustration. It's been hours since he has been separated from his partner.
"No respond from Piers, too." Chris added, also sharing their frustration, worried about their partners who left them with no response.
"They can handle themselves." Jill said, looking around the room where lab equipment is kept.
"Yeah. They work better together." Chris agreed with him, nodding his head. Leon hesitated but let out a sigh and shut his eyes tightly, to clear his head and focus on his goal.
Minutes of observing the place, the door of the room busted open. Guns raised in a fast point, pointed towards the door. They were dead quiet as their fingers locked on the trigger, ready to push it in a heartbeat.
"Piers?" Chris called out upon seeing a familiar figure standing in the door. Piers is there, holding the gun on his hand pointed inside the room.
"Chris?" Piers eyes landed on Chris, growing a frown on his brows. His eyes landed on Jill and then Leon.
"I knew you're alive." With a proud but concern voice, Chris spoked up again, walking towards Piers who now had entered the room.
"Where is she?" Leon, step in, lowering his gun. He looked behind Piers before locking his gaze to him as he waited for his answer.
"Long story. I need to cure her." Leon's heart drops upon the statement that Piers let go.
Are you in danger? What happened to her? What did he do? Didn't Piers protect her?
"What do you mean?" Leon asked, his voice fading into a low tone. He took another step forward towards Piers, Piers stood tall.
"She got infected." Leon's eyes shut tightly as he stepped back, hearing the news made him feel weak. He has known you for years. She's his great partner he could ever have. She's his friend he needed who stayed with him.
Visioning her gone is like a poison that kills him slowly. She were his friend, the greatest of them all. He had made many memories with her, a memories filled with mixed emotions.
"What?" Jill breathed out, worried about her as Jill had experienced the same thing she's going through right now.
"I can cure her, I just needed to create the vaccine." Piers voice is calmed, but there's the fear visible on his tone. He was scared as Leon was. He was more than scared than him, despite meeting the woman for only a span of hours. He had never felt a deep connection to someone.
"Then let's hurry." Jill said, looking at the three men in the room. Jill knows what danger she is in. She can't lose a friend.
Like Leon, she built a strong bond with the woman. She can't bare to lose another friend, she had lost many of them for the past years.
"Okay. Chris and I should take on with our mission. You should go with Piers and help her Jill." Leon decided. Despite his worriedness towards his partner, they also have to progress with their mission. Leon trusts Jill than Piers, so he's sending her off with him, but he has to trust Piers to save his partner.
"Let's go then."
"Are you okay?" She opened her eyes to the voice she heard, blinking not once to clear her vision and saw Piers with a hopeful orbs.
"Thank God." She heard another voice drawing her attention to that person upon hearing it. She saw her friend Jill, who was glad to see her alive.
"What happened?" She asks, gathering all her strength to sit up. Piers immediately reacted to it, helping her up as he held her arm.
"You got infected from BOW, we cured you." Piers answered, his eyes piercing down to her. With gratefulness, he looked at her in awe. Thankful that he had succeeded in curing her, happy to see her conscious as her eyes responded to his piercing gaze.
"He cured you." Jill emphasized, pointing at Piers with a proud smile tugging on her lips. Both eyes gazed back to Jill, Piers couldn't help but chuckled a bit and shook his head as her eyes found him. Looking over to him, her lips curved upwards into a smile.
Her hand found Piers arms, and Piers turned his head to her. Looking at her with a bright smile, she returned it with a thankful eyes. Her eyes filled with joy, and the only thing she saw in her beautiful eyes was him.
"Thank you, Piers." She muttered with her weak voice, Piers couldn't help his heart but to feel something warm in it. Her reflection filling his eyes, a bright light appearing with her as his hand found her hand above his arm.
"Don't meantion it." He whispered, she smiled softly as Jill from behind watched the scenario in awe.
"Is she awake now?" Leon rushes through the door, followed by Chris with a gun and a briefcase in his hand.
"God! You're awake!" Piers step back as Leon rushes to pull her tightly in a hug, her arms steady upon his back as Leon's arms curled around her.
"I'm alive." She whispered and pulled away to look directly at Leon. Leon looked at her with a teary eye. A scared expression became relieved upon looking at her eyes. She stiffled a laugh as this was the first time seeing Leon crying. She didn't even know that the man was capable of such emotion until now.
"Why are you laughing?" The man questioned as he sat beside the bed where she was lying down.
"I haven't seen you cry." She smiled towards him. He clicked his tongue and wiped the verging tears away.
"Leon Kennedy? Crying? That's new." Chris mocked as he stood beside Jill with a huge grin in his face, Jill chuckled and nudged him lightly.
"The virus?" She asked, looking back to Leon worriedly that she failed to do her job and their mission.
Leon tugged in his small smile, despite your life being in the line. She still thinks of her job and the mission. "We stopped it." Leon answered with a pat on her shoulder and softly squeezed it.
"And we got a sample, too." Chris raised the breifcase in his hand. She let out a sighed of relief.
"We should head back." Piers stated, look at the three figures inside the room. They all nodded as Leon helped her out of the bed, comforting her and guiding her along the way.
Piers eyes unconsciously slipping towards her along their way out of the laboratory. As he look out for enemies that might harm them, his eyes are also looking out for her condition. He wanted to replace Leon, who walks beside her. He wanted to help her and make her feel better. He wanted her in his arms to protect her and shower her with affection, but he had to erase all those thoughts away and continue on their way out.
"So this is a goodbye." Piers muttered as he walked towards her. They're back at the extraction point without taking any damage along the way.
"Maybe. If you refuse my invite, then it is." Piers lips parted as she looked back at him with a sweet smile plastered on her face. The sun rose, reflecting from her eyes as it glazed over Piers.
"What do you mean?" He stuttered a little, clearing his throat to smoothen his chords. She let out a small laugh and faced him, her arms crossing above her chest as the wild wind blows it out.
"You know, if you wanna hang out some other time." With a smile not fading in her lips, she shrugged her shoulders. His eyes linger around her figure, looking for signs that she might take it back. A small huff with a smile on his lips tugged out of him when he saw no signs of her pulling back her invite.
"You might want to have some over time later?" He asked, almost like a statement rather than a question. She let out a chuckle.
"I never knew I would love overtime."

Piers Nivans x Reader
"Why are you here again?" The agent asked, annoyed by the presence of Piers beside her as they stealthily walked towards the entrance of the metal door surrounding by the greens and browns of the forest that could lead up to the laboratory.
"Ask Chris that." Piers answered, his gun in his hand. His eyes lingered around the forest and landed to the woman beside him. He couldn't help but smile. He definitely knows that his feelings could bring danger upon him and the others, so his lips turned into a thin line as he looked away.
"Are you sure you can do this?" Chris asked Jill, worried creeping on him as flashes of her in danger rushed in his mind. He's afraid that he couldn't do anything again to save her, he's afraid that things could happen again and he wasn't able to do anything but watch.
Jill rolled her eyes. "How many times will you ask that?" Tired from Chris repeating the same question for the passing time now.
They entered the metal door with caution, metal floors, and icy walls greeted to them as they silently walked in. Dragging themselves deeper to the lab, they found a white hallway filled with nothing but another huge two automatic door by the end of it.
"That leads to the main laboratory." Jill stated, pointing at the door by the end of the hallway.
"Let's get it going then." Leon said and took his steps towards the tile, shifting down triggering alarms around the hall. They all looked at each other as half of the left wall burst open, revealing a gigantic BOW with wide mandibles open, letting out a scream, making them cover their ears.
"Shit!" Leon screamed as it started to run towards them, Piers immediately pulled the woman beside her. He pulled her towards the empty left hall that they come passed by, as Jill and the two men went in the right hall.
"Piers we're gonna be fuck here!" She screamed as the hall led them to dead end. "No!" He screamed back and kicked the vent open that is below the right wall. They immediately crawled in before the BOW could reach them.
Adrenaline pumping through their veins, breathing the tight air in as they crawled their way through the vent before coming to the end of it.
She kicked the vent open and went out, followed by Piers. They look around the area they have stumbled upon. They found themselves in the middle of some huge test tubes where other creatures were kept in, unconscious but surely alive.
"Okay.. no wrong moves." She whispered, looking back at Piers with her hand gesturing. Piers nodded at her quietly, meeting her eyes.
His heart beat raised up as he found hers, glad that he got her out of harm. He was terrified there, but he didn't show, especially the real reason why he's terrified.
"Do you think they'll be fine?" She asked him, worried about her partner who might be in danger. Piers didn't bother to think and nodded right away to ease her worries.
"Yes. They know what they're doing." He added, his eyes still locked in her gaze. He couldn't seem to pull away from it, like he's being pulled in closer.
She stared back in, trying to read him. His reason why he's staring, his reason why his immediate response is to pull her away. However, she shook her head, looking away, shaking her thoughts that's been building up.
It was definitely nothing.
"Let's find our way back." She turned her back to him and started to wander around the place. He sighed and followed her.
"How the fuck are we gonna get out of this?" She states, seeing the cold metal door tightly shut with it's own security system.
"Let's keep looking." Piers stated while his eyes were all over the place. She nodded in response and kept looking around.
The area where the Umbrella has been keeping their BOWs are extremely huge for them to be explored alone. It is dangerous to be wandering around by ones, so they have decided that splitting up was never an option to this kind of dangerous situations.
"I see some controls here." Piers frown, looking down to the huge amount of buttons in front of him.
"That's too many." She commented with a grimmace on her face as she stood near beside Piers. Piers heart thumps loudly in his cage. Calming down was difficult for him to do when she's this close. Despite his uncontrollable heart beating, he admires her.
How could such a wonderful thing be lost in this cruel side of life?
"You're staring." She caught him off guard by looking up and speaking. His eyes finally met hers, blood creeping in his cheeks as he adjusted his checkered scarf while embarrassment filled his head in.
"I'm not." Of course he would deny, she rolled her eyes playfully as her lip curled upwards. There's definitely something here, she thought to herself.
"Hmm... someone has a crush." She teases as she hummed, poking Piers arms lightly. He tried to frown toward her and put up his stoic face but failed as he ended up smiling to her teases.
"You must be dreaming." Piers still stood his ground and defend himself with all the teases she's tossing him. She rolled her eyes once again with a light smile on her face.
"I wish I am." Her smile turned small as she looked away, looking back down to the control system in front of them.
He couldn't help but stare at her for a second as her mood changed so as the atmosphere around her, he looked away immediately to focus on their task.
"Wrong button, wrong door." She stated, looking back to all the locked up creatures behind them. Her eyes met his again, and he nodded and swallowed in response.
They are definitely walking around the egg shells. One wrong move could lead to numerous disasters.
"Oh look, there are small numbers above the buttons." She added, pointing above the buttons. "The door seems to have a number, too." Piers replied as he walked over near the door, looking up to the plate where the numbers of the door were. The two last numbers of the doors are blocked out.
"It's blocked." He added before going back to her. She sighed in response, putting a hand on her hips in disappointment.
"There’s many numbers here. It could be anything!" She complained, frustrated as she stared down all the numbers above the buttons.
"Relax. We'll find our way." Piers comforted her, walking near her as he put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes before breathing out. Piers couldn't help himself as his lips turned upward, forming a smile.
"The two numbers we have are 7 and 2." Piers spoke again once he saw the lady settled down and calmed herself already. Walking back to where he was earlier, looking above the door.
"And we have..." Piers scanned the numbers down the panel once he got back beside her, carefully checking each number that starts with 7 and 2. She helped him count the numbers, silently scanning the buttons. Focusing and carefully observing everything in the control system.
After minutes, they found five sets of numbers that started with 72. One of the button can unlock the door, and the rest could release creatures, so they have to choose a wise decision and observe everything.
"Do you want to split up?" She asked Piers, looking around the monitor to locate the tubes they needed to check to confirm the numbers they have found. Piers frown before speaking.
"I thought that was out of the question." Looking down to her, Piers met her eyes, she pursed her lips. "It would be faster if we did it that way." She replied with a shrugged before started walking towards the near container. Piers sighed and went to the other direction to check out the other two tubes.
"Hey! The other one has a number blocked on it!" He heard from afar as her voice echoes around the area.
"There's one here, too!" He shouted back and met with her at the control panel.
"So I have: 7205 and 721 and blank." She stated as Piers ran towards her. "What I have is: 7234 and 72, and the other two are blocked." He stated the information he got from the other side.
"I think I got it." She muttered and looked for the button she assumed that could open the door. Piers stepped aside, observing her moves with a confused look on his face.
Without passing another minute, she pressed a button in the middle of the control panel. She was startled by the beep that rang across the room as the door that led the way out opened majestically.
She breathed a sighed of relief, her eyes light up and lips curling into a huge and proud smile. Piers lips agape opened, shocked by how this woman can solve a ridiculous puzzle within just a minute. He was overly impressed by her intelligence.
She looked up to him with a prideful smile. "See, easy." A proud voice rang in Piers ears, as if she wasn't under frustration earlier.
"How did you even do that?" He asked, still shocked as he looked up to the door and back to the smart woman beside her.
"Hmm... These numbers here only count 1 to 9. Our set of numbers only has 1 to 7, and the numbers 6, 8, and 9 are missing. I figured that the other tubes have 6, 8, and 9 in their set of numbers, so there's a huge possibility that the door have 8 and 9 to it's set which is what we found earlier." She explained, her hands pointing from the button back to the door that is now widely open.
His eyes lit up at how incredible and fast thinking this woman is. "Why I haven't thought of that?" He muttered, making her giggled lightly.
"I have more braincell than you." She teased as she turned her back to him, Piers chuckled to her insult. If it's another person would say that to him right in the face, maybe his knuckles would already be planted at the person's face.
But he just let her.
"Come on, Piers!" She waved to Piers as she stood in front of the metal door. She beamed at him from afar, proud that she impressed the man she's with.
"Alright, calm down." Piers jog towards her with gun on his hand, but before he could even get near her something came shooting from the door. Grazing the woman's skin, she hissed as she felt a sharp object in her skin as she jumped to the side of the door to cover herself.
Piers leaned at the wall beside the door, readying his guns as the woman across did the same.
"Fuck, it's a BOW!" She stated, looking down to her thigh where it scraped her skin.
"This would do!" Piers shouted and threw a grenade to the mutated 'iguana like' creature one's it stopped shooting its own sharp like bone. killing it as it explodes.
They both sigh, pulling out from their hiding spot as they walk out of the door, making sure that the creature is completely dead.
She let out a loud and shaky break, catching Piers' attention. Her eyes are darted in her scrape that's been bleeding lightly as her hand found its way to cover it.
"Are you okay?" Piers asked worriedly, reaching for her arm to bring comfort. She looked up to him, eyes starting to shade in red as her breathing increased more than normal.
"Piers.." she lost her balance as her consciousness left her body, Piers immediately laid his arms to catch her.
He immediately searched for her pulse and let out a shaky breath upon finding out that she's still alive but unconscious and definitely infected. He lightly tapped her cheeks and called out her name to bring her to response, but nothing came out of her.
"Shit! hang in there, smart girl."

4R Leon is soft, OG4 Leon is ga- slay.
The differences in the delivery of the teddy bear keychain scene between OG4 and 4R kills me.
In the OG, he seems sorta... irritated. The "very cute" is very blunt and he's holding the ring of the keychain like the teddy bear is going to bite him or something. The look on his face too makes me cackle, he does not look amused by the fact that the keys were placed on a teddy bear keychain.
But in the remake he holds it in the palm of his hand and then gives a sorta small smile before delivering the "cute" line, which comes off more like an observation than a sarcastic remark.
It's nothing huge, but the difference in the execution of the scene and the delivery of the line I think really highlights the difference between OG4's characterization & writing and the remake's in a subtle way. 4R Leon seems to genuinely think the teddy bear charm is cute while OG4 seems lowkey disgusted lmfao. I hope 4R Leon got to keep that charm.

Piers Nivans x afab!Reader
A/N: never thought I'll be making a fanfic about Piers, but I thought he deserves it. He's amazing. This storyline lands before re6, I have replaced the plot and setting.
Warning: guns, killing, violence, cursing.
She is a beast, a tough woman who handles herself very well. A description of her only contains one single word; a diamond. A diamond as they call her, and she is tough as one but shines like one, too. She is rare to find but very valuable as is. Only top-tier people have her in their hands. That's why she's an American agent who works under the name of their president.
She knows what she wants and what is right. She understands and is very intelligent. That is why the president put so much pressure on her just by trusting her with everything, trusting her to save the world with her and her partner's hand.
She is everything, a woman that seems to be so confident without fear to anything or anyone; even Chris Redfield.
She clenched her jaw as the end of her hand gun was pointed towards the surface of the forehead of Piers Nivans, one of the men of Chris Redfield.
"Choose your shot, Redfield. Your revenge or the sake of people's lives?" She growled, looking to Piers eyes, and shifted it to met Chris.
Piers eyes are shooting daggers to her, frowning his brows as his eyes are dark. He wasn't intimidated about her or the gun she's pointing at him. His hand turned into a fist as his breathing went hard, his heart pounding loudly for unknown reason. He wasn't intimidated, of course, but he felt something scarier inside him. Her reflection shines in his eyes as she looks back to him, sharing the same expression.
Everyone around went quiet, waiting for Chris chosen answer. Leon stands there staring at Chris with a crossed arm, letting his partner burst out her violence to handle the situation.
Chris sighed after a long and intense eye contact with the woman. "Do what she says." Chris announced, looking to all his men around them who seem to be shocked at the woman’s action.
She spared piers and glared before pulling away the gun and backing away a little. She reloaded her gun, dropping the empty hand gun magazine to the ground and replacing it with a new loaded one.
She looked up to Chris. "If you think I'll really shoot one of your men, think again." She hissed with a poison on her words, stinging Chris, whose stoic expression never faded. He didn't bother to reply to what she said. He just looked at her dead straight in the eyes before walking away.
She rolled her eyes and walked in the other direction towards the civilians that they've rescued in one of the building in the City of Europe.
"Is she always like that?" Finn asked, who's one of the men that Chris has in his team. He's referring to the woman who's now aiding one of the civilians. Her taunting eyes are replaced by soft and caring ones.
Leon looked back at him and shrugged with a small smile on his face. "Would Chris listen to her if she's not violent about it?" Leon asked instead, making Finn think deeper and shaking his head, realising she might have a right to be that violent because Chris is blinded by anger and vengeance.
Piers heard their conversation, and he huffed upon hearing it. "Does he need to be the target for it?"He thought, he shook his head, walking towards the supplies tent to get what he needed for the upcoming mission.
"Everyone ready?" Chris asked, looking to all his men and civilians until it landed to Leon with his partner, who will lead the way to the extraction point where the rescuers will pick up the survivors.
They all readied themselves on what's coming to them as soon as they left the camp area where Chris team had settled.
"Let's go, captain." Piers said, assuring Chris before nodding towards Leon as Leon with a gun on his hand led the way with her beside him.
No one said a word as they carefully made their way towards the road up ahead, which is more than 20 minutes walk from the main road.
They have encountered a number of zombies that are stealthily taken out by Leon and his partner as Chris and the other men watched their 6 and surrounds the rescues.
"Shit, path is block." Leon muttered as soon as they encountered the main road with a huge pile of rocks, dirt, and woods that slid down from the mountain not away from the main road.
She opened her comms to contact their agent, Hunnigan. "Hunnigan, road is blocked. Other ways to go to the extraction point?" She asked, looking down to her device, seeing Hunnigan from the other line.
Hunnigan looks back down to her computer, typing around until she finds useful information to tell. "You can go around the forest. There's a trail path when you go to the west side of the road. it's five minutes walk towards it." The agent nodded and muttered a thanks before trailing their way with the use of her device.
"We have to go around." She announced to the others, Chris nodded to her as she walked past him to lead the way.
Piers eyes pinned to her as she walked past him. He cleared his throat when he felt his heart jump a little, not knowing a reason he shook it off and followed the others.
As they entered the forest once again, nothing could be heard from them, but the cracking of leaves beneath their feet. No one said a word, but they stayed alert, eyes peeled to any danger that could harm them.
For minutes of walking, they stopped in front of a lake. "Is there any other way than this?" Leon complained, not feeling good about hopping in the lake and getting wet or even worse die from anything in it.
She rolled her eyes and looked at her device once again to check another route, but she shook her head. "Only way." She answered, making Leon groan.
"I'll check if it's safe." She volunteered despite the complaints from her partner. She was about to jump in when Piers blocked her with his arms.
"No. It's better if we would go in first." Piers with a low tone voice said and nodded to one of the men who nodded back as they both hopped in the lake. The agent shifted her weight to one of her side with a smirk.
"What a gentleman." She teased with sarcasm, Piers looked back with a smirk and searched around the waters that only stayed at the lower half of their body. The man with Piers raised his thumb as a sign that the waters is cleared.
"Here we go." Leon said before jumping in the water, he hissed as the coldness crept on his body, shaking his hand off that had gotten wet.
She was about to jump in, but Piers raised his hand, offering her a help to assist her down the water. She stared at him for a minute with a small frown, confused by his offer. "Sorry, but I can do it myself, thanks." She said before jumping beside him, the water splashed towards him a little as he lowered his hand.
"I'm surprised you know how to swim." Piers mocked as they started to make their way into the water, others followed them from behind as Chris watched Piers acting a little different from usual.
"The waters aren't deep. Watch yourself, though you're the one who looks like who couldn't swim." She fired back to his insult with a sly smile, Piers couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he shook his head.
Meanwhile, Leon was busy leading the way as Finn and Chris shared a knowing look with the interactions they witnessed.
When they reach the land again, she jump back to the land first and offers a hand to Piers, which he accepted.
"So we're near..." Leon stated and looked up to the woods, immediately ducking as bullets started to come in towards them. All of them immediately duck as a response as a bunch of terrorist came attacking, and screams of terror can be heard from rescues, hiding down as an immediate response to the attack.
One terrorist is near Piers that the agent beside him took notice. "Piers!" She shouted and offered him her hand. In a quick second, their mind worked together as their eyes met each other. Piers dodged the punch as he took her hand from behind, tossing her around. She rolled into Piers back and pulled out a roundhouse kick to the terrorists.
Chris men search around, killing single one of the terrorists with the help of the agents.
"Huh, I never knew you could be a great partner." Piers commented as he caught his breath. She shrugged. "Same goes for you... I could be more than that." She smiled and walked towards Leon, leaving Piers with no word to say.
"So you're replacing me now, huh?" Leon teased as they both walked together. She rolled her eyes with a huff.
"As if."
For an hour of walking, they finally reached the extraction point. They made sure that every survivor are taken care of, and no one was left behind.
However, another person came insight. A person they never knew they would see in the midst of the war.
"Jill?" She whispered as she was the one who noticed the person from afar. Leon squinted his eyes beside her and breathed in.
"Well, who would you know. Jill Valentine." Leon announced as Jill walked near them. Her body filled with scratches and bruises while her hand tightly gripped her gun.
Jill sighed in relief as she was pulled into a hug by the agent. Her name slipping pass Jill's lips so as Leon's name who stands beside them, Leon patted Jill's shoulder in response.
"Jill?" A surprised tone visible in Chris voice as her name rang around him. Jill pulled away from the hug, turning to face Chris.
"Chris." With her tired voice, she was able to respond. Her glossy eyes met Chris tough but tired one.
"What happened to you?" Chris asked her, scanning every cut and bruises around her body. Frowning as worries crawled to his spine up to his mind.
"I went to investigate, Neo Umbrella's laboratory it's not far from here." She answered as she was pulled to sat down by the edge of the supply box that was provided by the rescues.
Leon and his partner's eyes met. Their mission are nearing the end, hearing the news that brought by Jill.
"I told you to rest, Jill. You didn't have to force yourself back." Chris stated with a tight and stern voice, but then he sighed. He couldn't get mad at her for some reason. Jill will always have his soft spot, and it has been there for a long time. He was worried about death after losing her to Wesker. Now she was back and alive, and his heart even aches worrying about her. Affraid to lose her upon losing her once.
"I couldn't just sit back, Chris. You know that." Their eyes met, saying a lot to each other without using a word from their lips. The two agents stand between them, letting them finish what they have.
It was definitely awkward to stand in between, but Leon and his partner couldn't waste time as their mission is running out of it.
"I could lead you the way." Jill looked up to Leon and his partner, cutting the tension between her and Chris. Chris sighed, knowing that he couldn't do anything against the determination and stubbornness of Jill.
"That's an honour then."

When you know, you know
A/N: I didn't expect a part 2. Enjoyy
:fluff, romance, etc.
You went hand in hand with Louis into the masses of people eating in their own table around the restaurant. "I can't see mommy." He said, looking around worriedly. He really wouldn't see anyone because all he just saw was the lower body of the people around.
"Should I lift you up to get a better view?" You asked, making the child nod eagerly. You lift him up carefully as you both try to find for his parents.
"I thought you left - wait, who's this little guy?" Leon came up from behind, making you turn around. "Im Louis." The child answered and lent out a hand to shake hands, which Leon accepted while looking at you, confused at what's happening.
"He was waiting outside of the women's comfort room, looking for his mommy. No one is there, so I helped him out." You explained to him, Leon shifted his eyes to the child. "Are you okay, buddy?" Leon asked while his eyebrows were still furrowed.
"Yes, she said I'll be okay." The child pointed at you. You smiled at Louis and patted his head. "We should ask the staff for help." Leon suggested looking at you. You nodded and followed him as he led the way while you carried the child safely into your arms.
You were instructed to wait at the hotel lobby with the child as they tried to come in contact with the parents. Good thing this child is smart enough to know his parents' name, so it becomes much easier for the staff to contact their room.
You tried to start small talks with the child while he sat on your lap, so at least he could feel comfort when you're near him. He didn't want to be away from you. He's scared that you might leave him to nothingness. That's why he insists on being close to you.
And as for Leon, he was sitting next to you on the couch of the lobby. Of course, he was included in the conversation you have with the child. Sometimes, he would smile genuinely while staring at you, holding the child.
You look perfect there. Everything felt right at the sudden moment. Your soft laughs filled the empty lobby and also filling the void aching in his heart. Every time he sees you happy, it makes him feel differently. That maybe in this cruel world, there is happiness. In this void, there might be a light. You are his hope to this cruel life, in this survival. You're love, in the world he didn't think he would have. You grew up with him as he fell deeper into the abyss of this world. You were with him as he fell, and he hates that.
He hates how you can't have the life that you've been wishing for. He hates how you just keep on hanging on the thread of hope. He hates how he couldn't give you what you want, to be your husband, and to be the father you have always dreamed of.
"I like blue! Blue looks like the sky and seas! It's so wide." Louis said as he made hand gesture while smiling lovely as he talked about the little things he liked. You let out a giggle, continuing the conversation with the child.
"How about Uncle Leon?" Louis asked, looking at Leon, who was lost in his thoughts. "Hm? What?" Leon asked as he sat properly, eyebrows raise as he tried to keep up with the conversation. You let out a small laugh. "What's your favourite colour, Louise asked." You said smiling to him as you adjusted Loius carefully to your lap.
"Hmm.. I would say blue also. Blue is very calming." Leon answered, followed by his small comment. Louis couldn't help but smile widely and get excited. "We have the same colour! Does it mean I'm cool, too?!" He asked in excitement, looking back at you for approval.
Your brows forrowed a little as you try so hard not to laugh. You look at Leon, and it seems like there's a familiar pride in his face. "You're always cool Louis! Even without having the same favourite color with Uncle Leon. Do you think Leon's cool?" You asked, looking over to Leon, laughing a little as he shruggs his shoulders and nods.
"Yes! He looks cool!" He said enthusiasticly, making you giggle. "I am, don't I?" Leon said, leaning closer to shuffle Louis hair. You smiled softly.
He would be a great dad.
"Can I go to Uncle Leon?" Louis asked pleadingly, looking back at you. You nod your head without hesitation. As the child happily hopped off of you and went to Leon. Leon was hesitant at first, looking at you, not knowing what to do. You just smiled and nodded at him.
Leon lifted Louis up to put him on his lap. As he keeps on looking at you for assurance, not knowing if he's doing the right thing or not. Too afraid that he might hurt the child. You always smile at him in response, assuring him that he's doing good and that nothing bad is going to happen. You were always there to assure him, in every moment where he didn't know his move. You're there, your calmness, warmth, and love.
Everything he needed and only you he wanted.
"Do you like space ships Uncle Leon?" Louis asked curiously and innocently. A soft smile forms into your lips as you take in the view in front of you. Leon is smiling a little, and you're glad you're the only one who can see this vulnerable side of him.
Before Leon can answer, Louis parents arrive. Thanking both you and Leon for taking care of Louis. Louis is brave, trying not to cry as he both bid you goodbyes. He knew he wouldn't see the both of you again.
"Would we meet again?" Louis asked as you carry him for a hug. "Yes, of course." You said it like a bitter taste of the alcohol in your mouth. It burns. Seeing this kid again is nearly impossible, but you hope. You're hoping to see him again and able to give him the safety for him to have a bright future.
"I won't cry then." Louis wiped his tears again, making you smile softly as you helped him off. He hugged Leon, too, while you carry Louis in your hands. Closing the gap between you and Leon. You met his gaze and saw pain. You're both in pain because at once, at this small moment the God had given you the taste of the dream you wish for.
"See you later." Louis bid goodbye as his parents took him away with a hint of relief that their child is found and safe.
"I thought we're on vacation." Leon broke the silence between the both of you once the family is out of sight. You look at him with a small smile before sighing. His eyes met yours, those beautiful eyes of him a lot of words that he couldn't say loudly.
"We are."
"Cheers." Leon said, hitting lightly your wine glass with his. You hummed in response and drank down the champagne as you stared at the city of love in front of you while you stood at the balcony of your hotel room. You were leaning to the railings while you admired the view as Leon copied your position.
"Do you think we'll get the chance to live a normal life?" It is now time for you to ask questions like this. Leon looked at you with meaningful eyes, but you didn't dare to meet his as you were lost in the sea of lights from the city.
It was hard for you to see this way, to ask this kind of question, where the hope in your eyes might lose in a second he answer truthfully. He don't want that. He loves your eyes and the light in it, how your eyes light up when you talk about things you like and dreams you hope for.
"I don't know. But there might be a chance." For you to live freely, away from danger, away from things that pains you. A life which he wished he could give you.
A chance to freely love you without worrying if he'll be dead the next second. Sounds good. He thought of it.
"Surely. Let's live together happily if that happens." You said, unconscious on what effect that could've given Leon. He smiled. He couldn't help himself.
He knows. You both know, you're both aware of the unsaid feeling lingering around. The unsaid feelings that he thought were buried six feet under.
"Let's get married then." He said, sighing and chugging down his champagne, his gaze shifting to the city in front. You looked at him, couldn't help but smile widely.
"Ask me out first." You pull yourself from the railings to pour you empty glass again. "Sure, should we start tomorrow?" He boldly asked, making you laugh a little. He follows you inside. You poured his glass with champagne.
"We could start now, you know." You said, taking a sip, moving your gaze to set upon his. A smirk grew on his lips, turning into a smile once his eyes landed on you. You both stand not so far but not too close to one another.
"Gladly." He said, offering a hand which you gladly accept as he guides you back to the balcony. You lean to the railings as he stands closely behind you, leaning in to you and breathing every scent of you.
"We both know a long time ago, didn't we?" You asked without looking back at him. He hummed before speaking. "Our unsaid feelings? Yes. It's obvious." His voice is filled with softness and hint of happiness which you only heard now.
You smiled at his reply. It is pretty obvious. Every move, glances, and touches on a mission says a lot of meaningful message. It says every feeling that you both share.
"I love you." You heard him said, which shocked you. You never thought he would say that word despite all the feelings he's keeping. You even thought that you'll be the first one saying that.
You gulped down, you champagne, and turned around to face him. He's smiling, softly and sweetly to you.
For once, he didn't think of anything bad at the moment. You seem to brush his worries away. His mind is filled with the thought of you, the thought of a future with you, the dreams.
For once in years, his eyes lit up with hope, the void in his heart is gone, and his face lightened up with joy.
"I love you too."
You reply. Wrapping your arms around his neck as his hands snake around your waste, pulling you into a soft and deep kiss as fireworks work around you. Everything is well.
Is not bad to hope, right?

When you know, you know
A/N: Inspired by the song Margarete of Lana del rey with my thoughts of it when I'm listening to it. Enjoy:)
:fluff, romance, etc.
The sky is painted in deep blue sky decorated by stars twinkling above with the pale moon light. The city lights beneath are wonderful to your eyes. It's breathtaking to feel on the top of the world. It feels so free as the cold wind passes your face and dances with your hair.
"Beautiful." You mumbled but enough to hear by the man who stands beside you, who admires the view and the women worked of art beside him. "It is." He said back, you looked at him but he immediately looked away, avoiding your gaze. Pretending his not looking at the most beautiful woman he'll ever see in the world in his life.
A 'poem'. That's what he thought of you in his mind and heart. You're a poem he will never get tired of reading again and again. A poem that made him feel every emotion a man can feel. You're as beautiful as one, as painful too at the same time. Because there are poems that are said a loud, but there are also poems that are hidden underneath the darkness. Just like his feelings towards you.
"Let's go." You said and started walking over the elevator to get down from the Eiffel Tower. Your mission in paris is done. It was a tiring week of mission here, you thought the first time you'll set a foot in this city would be your honeymoon but you're wrong because you came here for work, but hey- atleast the man you love is with you as you set your foot here for the first time.
He followed you from behind and stood next to you when you were in the elevator. No one said a word, but two hearts beating is heard quietly. You're both exhausted from the mission, hungry too.
"Wanna grab something before we went to the hotel?" Leon asked, breaking the silence between you as the elevator goes down queitly. Good thing the D.S.O. found a way to occupy the tower to avoid people getting involved as you both defused the bomb pla ted by terrorists that surrounded the tower, and that could possibly destroy this beautiful city.
You saved lives once again.
"Sounds great." You replied, agreeing on what he said.
You both hopped on the car that is waiting for you outside of the tower to escort you back to the hotel you've been staying. "Wait, why won't we just get food from the hotel?" You asked Leon while sitting down at the backseat with him, frowning at your own realization.
"Hmm.. I miss fast food." He just replied, which made you laugh a little. Typical Leon. But you admit you missed fast food too, getting tired of eating fancy food or nothing after a while.
The ride waited outside with your weapons on it as you entered a fast food chain. You both ordered, and Leon insisted on paying for it, but you tried to argue but then give up because of tiredness and also because you know Leon will never back down on this. He likes treating you on every chance he could take, so you just let him be.
While waiting for your take outs, a couple entered the establishment with their newborn baby carried by the mother. The giggle of the baby is loud enough for you to hear. You couldn't help but smile sweetly as you watch them take their orders in the cashier.
Only if you could've had that normal life, have a loving husband. Be normal for once, holding a child instead of guns. Having mini you running around your place, your house fills with giggles and laughters instead of hearing gun shots and explosions everyday.Everything of that is what you asked for, but would probably never have it.
Because the line of work you have is not normal in the first place. Having a family is nearly impossible.
Your work worns you out, and you're very tired of it. You hate it, hate how after the happenings in Racoon city could turn your life upside down forever. Only Leon, Sherry, and Claire were the good ones that happened to you since the incident.
"You really fond of kids, huh?" You heard Leon ask, you glance at him. He's standing beside you as his arms cross above his chest while his gaze holds you. You smiled and hummed in response, having no energy to let out a simple reply.
"Would you like a boy or a girl?" He asked more, your eyebrow raised at his question. "It doesn't matter, does it? And when did you get so curious about these topics?" You asked, smiling while looking at him in a weird way. Hs shrugged his shoulders, playing it cool as his eyes shifted on the family who is now sitted in a table with a huge smile on their faces.
"Is it that bad to ask?" He answered with another question. You just let out a laugh, and finally, your take outs are now ready to go.
You arrived at the hotel at 12 past midnight. Tired but still had the energy to eat. You and Leon sat at your own bed and ate your food there. You share a room since it's too difficult for the both of you to reach out to each other during emergency times. It happened before, and that causes a little argument between the two of you.
Both of you were quiet as the televesion goes on whatever movie that flashes the channel once you had opened that up.
The movie flashes a scenario of a happy family, just like what you've imagined earlier. You sighed at what you see before chugging down the whiskey that Leon had ordered from the hotel.
"If you didn't went to Racoon City that time. What do you think you're doing now?" You heard Leon ask from the bed beside yours. You looked at him again. Weirded by what you've just heard but a smile growing in your face. He never asked questions like this, so it is pretty weird for you. He raised an eyebrow at your look, but you shook your head to avoid laughing at him and let out a scoff.
"I'll probably have a normal life, obviously. Probably dating some dude or even planning futures with him." You simply answered and started cleaning up your bed. "Sounds nice." He said, making you smile.
"It is.. What about you, though?" You asked back after cleaning your hands with wipes. You went over to Leon's bed and sat at the edge of it, looking over to him while waiting for an answer. He smiled, shaking his head. "Probably married." With you. Of course, he didn't say the last part out loud, even though he really wanted to.
"Damn, you're old." You insulted him, followed by your laugh. He glared at you. "Hey! We just have 3 years age gap, you know?" He protested, but that didn't stop you from making fun of him.
Without a minute passed, both of your comms lit up. You didn't answer and let Leon answer his since you two are in the same room together. "I know you guys are tired, so I asked the higher-ups if they could grant you a 3 days break." Hunnigan started once Leon answered the call. You snatched the phone from Leon, earning an 'Hey!' from Leon. Suddenly, you had an energy from the upcoming news that Hunnigan might present to you. You feel like this is going to be a good one.
"And??" You ask Hunnigan, waiting for her to continue her news. "They said yes! Enjoy your vacation now! Take care!" She said from the other line, making you squeal from excitement. "YES! thank you so much, Hunnigan! I love youu!!" You showered her with kisses, making her laugh from the other line.
"You guys deserved it so much, enjoy Paris!" And then she ended the comms. You smile widely as you give back to Leon his phone. He just chuckled and shook his head at how excited you are. Questioning on how much energy you still got inside you.
"We deserve drinks, Leon." You said, looking back at him after the moments of you jumping from happiness.
"Damn right, we do."
-
"Leon! There! Let's take a picture!" You said, smiling widely as you pull him to the front of Arc de Triomphe. "Geez, slow down." He said as he stood beside you while you raised your hand with the camera and took photos.
"Come on, Leon! Just smile!" Leon rolled his eyes but still smiled while his hands were on his pockets. "Your turn." He said and snatched the camera from your hands. You happily stood in your place and readied yourself for the picture. Your newly bought dress that you bought earlier because you didn't brought much appealing clothes for a vacation is flowy as you tried different posses on.
"Good thing I brought this camera." You said while looking at the photos taken in the camera. "Yeah, I never knew you would get a chance to use that." Leon agreed who's standing beside you.
You pretty much enjoyed your day with Leon going to many pastry shops, museums, and other tourist spots until both of you get tired. You went back to the hotel after that and went straight to the restaurant of it to eat before going back to your room.
"Im starved." You complained as you sat down waiting for the food you two ordered. "After all you ate whole day?" Leon asked, his lips curving upwards. "Are you calling me greedy?" You asked as your eyebrow raised upwards. "Kinda." He said with a shoulder that shrugged off. You rolled your eyes in response but smiled.
Food arrived, and you both ate peacefully as you both share dishes that you both ordered differently, trying new dishes and commenting on how good or shitty it taste. Finally, one normal day after the Racoon City. You felt normal all of a sudden, with no worries if you would be dead later or tomorrow. No earned scars or bruises, no enemies trying to kill you. Just normal things like normal people have, not some kind of super heroe bullshit.
"I'll use the comfort room." You excused yourself and went to the comfort room not far from the table you and Leon seated at. It felt like a date, and you would be lying if you didn't think of it the whole day. A date with the person you love the most for years, a date with Leon Scott Kennedy.
After your business in the bathroom, you went out and were about to walk back to Leon, but you were stopped by a clueless child who was waiting outside the door of the ladies' room. "Mommy?" He asked when you stepped out.
"Oh, sorry, little one. I'm not your mommy." You said smiling at how cute the child is. HE might be about 4 years old and wearing a blue polo shirt with white pants on. 'So adorable', you thought tonyourself as you try not to pinch his cute pinkish cheeks.
"Did you see her? She went that way." He asked, stuttering in his words as he pointed at the laidies comfort room. You couldn't help but smile at his cuteness. You kneeled down to level his height as you slowly shook yourself. "No baby, I don't think someone is there. Should I check again?" I asked, he nods as an answer. Looking down at his fingers as he plays with it, making you giggle as you stood up again and opened the door to the women's comfort room.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" You asked as you tried to see under the cubicles for a presence of someone. "What's your name, little one?" You asked, looking down at the child. He looks up at you. "Louis." He answered with a shy tone. You smiled in return and thanked him.
"Louis is here, waiting outside!" You said again, trying to look from the door if anyone else is in the room since when you entered it, you noticed that you were alone in there.
After seconds of waiting for answers, you were only greeted by the queitness of the room. You sighed. Did he really saw his mom this way? Or maybe his mother had already left.
You went down to in the child's height again. "Louis, I don't think your mommy is here. Would you like me to help you find her?" You said, asking worriedly. The child nodded with a teary but hopeful eyes. "Don't worry Louis, I'll help you find your mommy." You said with an assuring smile, the child mumbled a 'thank you'.
"Come, let's go look for mommy?" You asked, lending out a hand, which he gladly accepted as he wiped off his tears in his eyes. You smiled and went to your pocket for handkerchief and help him wipe off his tears and snot.
"We'll be okay, Louis. I promise."

Lucky One ~ Leon Kennedy
synopsis: Leon believes that he's the lucky one in the relationship.
word count: 1,239
warnings: swearing, grammar/spelling mistakes
~~~~
Leons eyes moved from the tv to you, your embroidery in hand as you occasionally glanced up to watch the show the two of you were watching before focusing back on what you were doing.
Your feet were propped on his lap and one of his hands rested on your crossed ankles while his other was draped over the back of the couch.
Leon truly didn’t understand how he managed to snag you.
The two of you had met at some dingy little bar, him being with a group of friends and you being there to act as a way out in case your friend's date went south.
“Oh my god, Leon. Just go talk to her.” Jill told the man, tired of him peeking over his shoulder to look at some girl.
Leon eyes snapped towards her, “are you crazy? There's no way she’d be into me,” he picked up his beer, taking a drink from it.
Claire looked over at Chris, nudging him in the ribs before nodding towards Leon.
“If you don’t go talk to her, I will.” An empty threat from Chris.
“No, you won't.”
Well, it was supposed to be an empty threat.
Chris sighed as he set down his drink, pushing his chair back against the floor before he stood up, looking at Leon who raised an eyebrow at him.
“Okay, but if I ruin your chances with her because of all this,” he motioned to himself, “don’t come boo-hooing to me every time I bring her along.”
“Chris!” Claire scolded and he shrugged at his sister, walking backwards towards where you sat.
“He’s not actually going to do it,” Leon smirked, “he's just trying to get me to intercept him and talk to her first. It's his schtick.”
And then Leons eyes widened as Chris sat down across from you, hand outstretched and a smile on his face which you returned, shaking his hand.
“Well, that’s curtain for Leon.” Jill chuckled, raising her drink to her lips.
“That little fucker.” Leon cursed, looking towards Claire who just held up her hands.
“I did not want him to do that. I wanted him to give you a pep-talk. That was it.”
Meanwhile, Chris was being a wingman.
“Listen, you’re beautiful, but I'm not interested in you,” Chris started, smile on his face causing confusion to cross yours, “my buddy is though,” you turned to look in the direction his head nodded towards, “no, don’t look. We're having a nice little chat up.” Chris told you.
“Oh?” you raised an eyebrow.
“His names Leon and look, from the outside, he looks all rough and tough and like he would rather be anywhere but outside but he’s honestly a really great guy. Little awkward around girls he finds pretty but swell man. Sure, he has his rougher days, but we all do. Those days where you feel like there's no point and you want nothing more than to stay in bed all day and when you get to know him more, you'll understand why. I know you might think I'm bullshitting or whatever, just talking him up, but I honestly would not set you up with him if I thought he was a bad person.”
You smiled at the man across from you, taking a peek at the table he came from to see a dirty blond man watching the two of you.
“If I give you my number, will you give it to him?” you asked, grabbing a napkin.
Chris withdrew a pen from his pocket and handed it to you, “I'd be more than happy to,” he grinned, watching as you scrawled down your number.
Once you handed it to him, he bid you goodbye before getting up and heading back toward the table where Claire was shaking her head as Leon shot him a glare.
“Chris-” his sister started but was cut off by him placing a napkin in front of Leon.
“You’re welcome,” he stated as Leons eyes dropped to the napkin, seeing your name and number scrobbled on it before looking back up to your table where you smiled and waved at him.
He waved back as Chris plopped back down in his chair, “you can buy my drinks for the rest of the night.”
“Lee?”
Your foot moving slightly caused Leons hand to tighten a bit, keeping your feet on his lap as he was brought back to the present.
“I'm sorry? What did you say, my love?”
You giggled, leaning forward to brush his bangs out of his eyes, “I asked if you felt like cooking tonight?”
Leon grabbed your hand as you pulled it away from his, pressing a kiss to your knuckles, “not necessarily.”
You nodded, placing down your project on the coffee table as you swung your legs off of your boyfriend.
“Hey, where are you going?” he asked, still holding onto your hand.
“To start dinner. I lost track of time and if I don’t start now, it’ll be oatmeal tonight.” You joked and Leon shook his head.
“No, sit down. You’ve cooked the last couple of times,” He pulled you into his lap as he grabbed his phone, “since I don’t want to cook and you’ve cooked enough the past week, I'll just order us something. Get it delivered to us or I'll pick it up. Doesn’t matter to me.”
“It's not a big deal Leon. I can whip us up something.” You tried and Leon just placed a kiss to your lips.
“All you're doing tonight is deciding what you want to eat.”
You sighed and Leon smiled, knowing he won.
“It's Friday?” Leon nodded to answer your question and you shrugged, “could kind of go for some fish from the bar.”
“I'll call the bar and place an order for pickup then.”
You smiled, running a hand through his hair, “how did I get so lucky land you?”
Leon shook his head, leaning forward, “I'm the lucky one here, my love,” he whispered against your lips before pressing them together.
“What makes you say that?” You asked when you pulled away for some air.
“You’re beautiful, smart, and kind. You’re understanding of my job and always there after a mission, helping me with any injuries I got. You remind me why I do what I do. Well, why I do what I was forced to do.” your hands went to his cheeks, thumbs rubbing over his cheekbones as he leaned into your touch, eyes closing for a couple of seconds before opening them and looking into your eyes, “you’re the light at the end of the tunnel for me. The reason I make sure I come home every time.” He took your hands off his cheeks and brought you close for another kiss, “I am definitely the lucky one.”
You leaned forward and kissed his nose after he pulled away, “Let’s just say we’re both lucky,” you told him and he smiled before reaching across you, grabbing his phone from the end table.
“Now, you keep working on your project while I get our food ordered.”
You patted his cheek twice as he searched up the local bars number before leaning forward and grabbing your embroidery from the table in front of you, shifting to lean against him. Leon’s arm snaked around your waist, and he made himself comfortable, his fingers drawing shaped on your skin as he placed your order.
Enemies LOVERS
A/N: I do not hate Ada (no one should because she's a great character and made the game more interesting!) I LOVE ADA. Her character here is ONLY FOR THIS STORY'S PLOT.
WARNING: cheating, violence, revenge, anger, etc.
Your mouth agape opened, shocked upon what you have witnessed. Ada, pinning a random guy in a bathroom stall while kissing him.
"I fucking new it." bursting the door out open as you enter the comfort room, Ada and the guy look up to you. Ada smirked. "Oh, I'm sure you knew it." Ada, move away from the guy with a smirk on her lips as she stands feets away.
"You're cheating on Leon!" Your voice echoes across the women's comfort room. She let out a laugh.
"What you gonna do now? Run around? shouting everyone the great news you found?" Without fading the smirk, Ada spoke. Your hand curling into a fist as you glared back to Ada.
"You run to us, ruining our relationship and cheating on him!" You took steps to close off the gap between you and Ada. Both of you now stand close to each other face to face, the tension becoming hotter as the atmosphere around becomes heavier.
"Leon is the one making the choice. It's not my fault you're not good enough f to satisfy him." Ada's words make you chew your inside cheek, gritting your teeth while trying not to smash her face at the sink of the restroom.
After finding out that Leon cheated on your, Leon had decided to break ties with you. Afraid that he might hurt you more if he continues his relationship with you. Now you found his 'new girl' that he cheated on you, cheating on him too. How karma works so mysteriously.
You love Leon very much. Even until now, you still love him, but there's already emotions mixing with it. You still care for your ex-boyfriend after he cheated and broke your heart into tiny pieces.
How pathetic you are.
"He chose you, and you wasted the choice he made." You replied with gritted teeth. It hurts you so much, knowing that he would be hurt after knowing it.
Your heart is still in pain after he broke it a month ago. It hurts how Leon can waste years of being together just to be with another cheater.
You hissed when Ada pulled your hair from the back of your head. "A word from you wouldn't change anything to us." She whispered then let go of your hair. You pulled yourself together, trying not to fight back because that wasn't you. You don't fight back physically. You're smart enough not to raise a hand to anyone.
She walked out of the restroom with the guy tailing her around. You rolled your eyes and landed on the mirror. You sighed and fixed your hair.
She's not getting away with it. They're not getting away.
It wasn't Ada's fault. Atleast not everything of it. It's Leon's fault for letting himself submit to Ada and for not considering everything in your relationship. You gave everything, you gave him love. Provided care and was always there for him when he needed someone.
But you can't help but blame Ada, too. She already knows that Leon's already in a relationship but still went for it.
You're not letting yourself hidden in the dark. Vengeance is on the way.
"Stunning as always." Said by Chris, who's standing at your front door. "I know. You look good as always." You complimented him back and kissed your parents goodbye.
"Show them what you got, baby!" Your Mom cheered as you walked out of the door with your longe evening gown wiandarm curled up to Chris biceps.
"We will!" Chris shouted back as he opened the door of his passenger seat. You went inside with Chris' help.
Chris isn't whom you expected to be your escort in the prom. Leon and you were very excited about this that you two even do windowshop for the one you will wear on a very special day, but all those went down the pit when he cheated.
You arrived at the prom, greeted some of your friends. "Good thing Chris had already someone to go with the prom with." Claire teased after you greeted her, everyone in the group laugh.
Chris has always liked you eversince before you dated Leon. Of course, you knew about that. He was so obvious when he's with you until he admitted it one day. But Leon is whom you love, Whom you wanted to be with. Gladly Leon returned those feelings but unfortunately broke it down, too.
"Now, don't be falling too hard, Chris." Jill added knowing about Chris feelings. He shook his head with a chuckle in response. "Too late." He said and lifted your chin up and kissed you, which you gladly kissed back.
"'Atta boy!" Carlos cheered, followed by the cheer of everyone else in the group. The kiss broke off , and you followed it by kissing Chris in the cheek, which he smiled softly to.
Now, you and Chris are not dating, but there is something between you two. You started to grow fond of him as the bond between the two of you deepened. He console you and been with you since the break up. He's taking the chance, and you're using it. He knows that you haven't moved on from Leon. He accepted that he was second in your heart and probably would be there for the rest of your life. He respects you a lot and respects your feelings towards Leon.
He tried moving on from you when you dated Leon, but he couldn't. He loves you too much, so he let those feelings flow and grow.
And he must say, it is totally worth it because know you're in his arms and he would cherish you so much while you're at it.
"I'll borrow your love for a while." Ashley pulled ypu away from Chris, Chris nodded and sat down with Carlos and the others.
Ashley pulled me at the drinks table. "Surely, you haven't moved on, have you?" Ashley, ask whispering in your ear as her arms wrapped around yours.
"Does it matter now?" You ask, grabbing a drink from the table. Ashley frowned her brows while she looked at you like you've said the dumbest thing she heard in her life.
"Well, your plan is working. Leon already knows about Ada cheating, and he is mad." Ashley whispered once again. You smiled.
Of course, it was under your fingers. You told your friends about what happened the other day, and your friends always got your back and did their job to spread everything to the whole campus without mentioning your name.
This was only the taste of your vengeance. The after-party would be good at Luis house later.
You saw Leon and Ada enter the venue, your eyes met, but you didn't look away or smile. You just stared into his soul, shooting daggers.
The prom really went well with Chris and friends. It was really fun. You enjoyed the night as it went on. Leon and Ada got named as the King and Queen of the night. You clapped but didn't let that affect you. Your eyes met Luis, and he smirked as you smiled.
Your friends really got your back.
In Luis house, everything is going smoothly as planned. Everyone is enjoying, and Leon and Ada are here, of course. Your eyes are everywhere, taking notes of the things that might ruin your plan.
"Ready for the show?" Luis asked as he handed you a glass of alcohol. You smiled. "You know I love drama." You replied, taking a sip at your glass.
You see your target couple seating and making out at the couch, and here comes the bait standing behind the couch while shooting signals to Ada, who literally took the bait as she excuses herself to Leon and went up the stairs. The guy smirked at you before following Ada upstairs. Your eyes met Luis, and Luis let out a small laugh.
Minutes later, you're standing near the staircase drinking with your friends as Leon starts to look for Ada.
"Oh, I think I saw her upstairs." Claire answered him with a smile and drink on her hand. "Don't worry, man, she might be with her friends." Carlos said, assuring him while being aware of the whole plan.
"Let's look for her, Amigo!" Luis said then wrapped his arms into Leon's shoulder, Leon hesitated at first but let out a soft chuckle before sparing you a glance and went up the stairs.
"Working well, huh?" Chris whispered in your ears as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You turned to look at him and pulled him in a kiss. "It always works well." You whispered back after pulling away, he smirked.
Chris liked the plan you have set up. He thinks Leon deserves this after breaking your heart.
"Let's watch the drama!" Ashley excitedly said and pulled Claire and Jill upstairs. You followed from behind with Chris and Carlos.
"What the fuck?!" You smiled upon hearing Leon's voice at the first room you saw at the second floor. Some people started to gather at the doorway. You made your way through the crowd.
Your eyes widen as you do not expect Ada to be almost half naked in the bed, while the guy is already topless.
Your eyes met Ada, she glared as she fixed herself up. "It's all because of you!" Ada shouted, looking directly at you, eyes shooting daggers. Your mouth agape opened, as the crowds spared you a gaze but then back to Ada.
"What the fuck are you talking about Ada?" Leon growled as Luis is stopping him to throw hands. "You're already caught red-handed." Jill commented.
Everyone started to murmur, confirming the rumours about Ada that's been going around the campus.
"I can't believe it, Ada." Leon stated again, Ada looked at him before running out the room, followed by the guy.
Leon eyes met yours. It was filled with pain and anger, like how your eyes were when you found him cheating on you. Leon walked out without saying anything else and disappeared from the crowd as you stood there.
The vengeance itself.
"Oh dear! Honey! Get down here!" You immediately emerge down your room upon hearing your mom downstairs. You stopped in the middle of the stair case upon seeing your "unexpected" visitor.
"Are you drunk?" You asked Leon and went down the stairs, and he immediately pulled you into a hug. Your mom gives you a meaniful look, you smiled as she walks away.
You heard Leon mumbling your name over and over again. "What happened?" You asked, you felt your shirt getting soaked. He's crying?
How dare he cry because of Ada when he didn't even shed a tear over you.
"Come, upstairs." You pulled the drunk Leon to your room, set him down the bed and comforted him.
"I can't believe... I cheated on you to get cheated on." You rolled your eyes mentally as Leon cried out. You patted his back and sighed. "Why are you here then?" You asked after he rant all of his heart out.
"I missed you... I miss you so much, and I hated myself when I hurt you." He sobbed. You're the only one who saw Leon at this state. Weak and pathetic, just like how you cried over him.
He got you confused. Is he crying over you or Ada?
"I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have done it, I shouldn't have cheated on you." You smiled softly. You hate seeing him like this, but at the same time, it felt good.
'Do I really have to hurt you before you run back to me?'
"It's alright, Leon."
'I know you will always run to me.'
"What about Chris?" Leon asked, looking at you while he's leaning down; elbows in his thighs for support.
"He's just a friend." You said, of course you would lie if you want Leon to chase you again.
"Then." He said, sitting up, his hand went to cup your face. "I can do this." He then kisses you, you kissed back. He tastes like liquor, and you love it.
He's back to you now, but your love will never go back the same way as before. It was his fault, after all, for hurting you a lot.
"Can I go back?" He asked, his eyes pleading after you pulled your lips away from him. You smiled softly.
"Of course." He smiled after hearing your answer. "But not like before."
The game of flames begins now.
Hell's Kitchen
Summary: You and Leon have the worst dining experience of your life at your daughter’s “restaurant”
Pairing: Dad!Leon Kennedy x Mom!Reader
Word Count: 933 words
Warnings: Fluff, humor, Leon being a smart-ass
A/N: I bring you more Dad!Leon :) This was a short lil idea I had the other night. I am not going to lie, I personally suck at playing pretend with kids, so this may be unrealistic/stupid. But all in all, I hope you enjoy this lil drabble!! <3
“Do you have menus?”
Sitting cross-legged on the living room floor and parallel to you at the small Disney Princess table, Leon looked up expectantly at your three year old daughter. She stared him down, blue eyes mirroring his own before she turned around and walked over to the plastic kitchen playset.
You bit back a giggle, trying to be serious enough not to ruin her playtime and provide her with as much enrichment as possible, but it was nearing impossible considering the expression of surprise currently resting on Leon’s face.
“Guess it’s a surprise, then,” he chuckled, turning his head back to you with that lopsided smile of his. He placed his large hands on the table and began to drum his fingers, occasionally glancing over at the little girl rambunctiously pretending to cook. Leon focused on you, giving you a dramatic wink as he propped his elbow up on the small pink table. “So,” he started, voice tinged with flirt. “Come here often?”
A smile tugged at your lips as you rolled your eyes, mimicking his position while you rested your chin in your palm. “Actually, it’s my first time here,” you played along, giggling at the way he nodded and leaned back.
“Mine too,” Leon hummed, looking back over at the daughter you two shared. He huffed and rested his hand against his face to block his words from her ears. “Can’t say that I’m particularly impressed with the customer service, though.”
You turned your head towards the playset, raising an eyebrow as you watched your daughter fiddle with tiny metal pans and plastic food. “Be nice,” you laughed softly, a mock expression of scolding on your face when you turned back towards him. “She’s got a one woman show going on over there.”
Your daughter had insisted that her father and you ate at her “restaunt”, even going as far as throwing a tantrum until both you and Leon were seated around the little table tucked away in the corner of the living room. Watching her play and have fun, especially now that Leon was home and able to join in, brought a smile to your face that couldn’t be erased. Even with the abundant witty comments being whispered to you every twenty seconds.
“Oh my god,” Leon suddenly mumbled, eyebrows pinched together in surprise and slight concern as he stared at the toddler. “She’s using Barbie to cook.”
You hadn’t noticed until now, but your little girl definitely was using her Barbie’s legs to stir whatever imaginary food she had in the plastic cooking pot. You let your jaw drop open before you leaned closer over the table, whispering back to Leon. “Maybe we should call the health inspector?”
Leon nodded in agreement, stifling a chuckle when your daughter looked back at the two of you. You both scrambled to get back into the playing state of mind, smiling at her until she turned back around and continued on.
She eventually ceased stirring, grabbing the play plates and arranging various toys on them before she brought them over to the table. The plate handed to Leon consisted of a fake can of peas, a plastic drumstick, a rock, and a spoon. The plate handed to you, however, only held one thing: a plastic banana. She set them down in front of each of you, eyes expectantly watching for the two of you to start eating.
Leon laughed under his breath as he looked down at his pink plate compared to your nearly-empty purple plate, once again covering his mouth with his hand. “Guess we know who the favorite is,” he teased softly, deep blue eyes flitting up to yours.
You rolled your eyes once more, waving him off before you looked over at your daughter. “It looks great, baby,” you praised her softly, smiling as you watched her face light up. You pretended to eat, doing everything that you could to keep from laughing as you watched Leon struggle to play along across from you.
After about thirty seconds of watching him make exaggerated bites into the plastic chicken drumstick, your daughter snatched the plate away from him and took yours, too. When she got back to her little kitchen, Leon had to put his head down on the table.
You could hear the muffled laughter as he crossed his arms, clearly surprised with how forceful she’d been about taking the plates away. He lifted his head back up, smiling fondly as he looked back in her direction. “I guess I was done.”
“You didn’t compliment the chef,” you clicked your tongue with a playful grin. The child continued to make a ruckus of noise in the kitchen, prompting you to try and engage her. “Are you making dessert?”
“No,” her favorite word immediately came flying from her mouth as she shook her head.
Leon feigned a gasp, putting a hand over his chest like he’d just been wounded. “But, sweetheart,” he mustered every ounce of playful disappointment into his voice. “Daddy and mommy always have dessert after dinner.”
Your daughter shook her head again and proceeded to ignore the two of you as she started to play on her own.
Leon made a face at her turned back before he shook his own head. It was no wonder where she got her attitude from. “I’m not leaving a tip,” he huffed, leaning back on his palms with another mock look of disdain.
You laughed softly before you got up, stretching out your arms and legs. “Alright,” you sighed, moving to pick your child up from behind. “Bath time, little lady.”
Trophy Father's Trophy Son
Summary: Six years after Leon left you for Raccoon City, he shows up on your doorstep. In his sudden appearance, he learns of yet another reason why he never should’ve left that day.
Pairing: Leon Kennedy x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 3.7 K Words
Warnings: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, mentions of death, mentions of depression/burnout, swearing, mentions of trauma
Tags: RE4/DI Leon, Dad!Leon, happy-ending, Leon breaks down, but he also gets his happy-ending, not proofread!
A/N: I am finally back! I never want to experience another hurricane again :) anyways, this was another request. I put a bit of a spin on it, so I hope you guys enjoy it. Thank you all for supporting my work once again! <3<3<3! Song title from "Trophy Father's Trophy Son" by Sleeping With Sirens.
Six years. Six long, miserable years that seemed never-ending. Caught in a loop of trauma and loss, never once finding an ounce of peace, Leon wondered if he’d ever found a way to cope with what happened on September 28, 1998. He lived his life like a machine, oiling just enough to wake up in the morning before he’d eventually crash and break down at night.
Six fucking years of living a life not for himself, keeping himself alive just to play the good agent. The best agent, willingly seated at the President’s beck and call, constantly wondering what would happen if he decided to swap out his usual, “Yes, sir” for one giant, “Fuck you.” Would they reprimand him, consider his work too valuable to do anything less than a mark on his record? Or would they bite the bullet and put on right through his skull, like he’d done to the countless innocents infected by corporations that lined the thick pockets of government officials and campaigners?
Leon didn’t know anymore. Hell, did he ever really know anything in the first place, considering his memory always loved to backtrack just 24-hours before he would no longer consider himself a man.
September 27, 1998.
The day he walked away from you, watching you cling to the post of your family’s front porch, wailing in the rain as you begged him not to go. He could still remember the gut-wrenching feeling of getting in his car, sitting stiff in the driver’s seat as he tried to make up his mind on whether or not to leave you behind for Raccoon City. He’d been so excited to get the assignment, raving on for weeks about how he wanted to get the chance to investigate the Arklay Mountain murders.
He’d barely graduated from the Police Academy back then, coming home to you with a much more muscular physique and a ‘good boy’ attitude. He’d matured more than you could’ve imagined in just a few months, and that included his view on your relationship. Leon would’ve dropped to one knee back then in an instant, if he thought you’d say yes. Which is what he thought you were going to say when he asked you if you were going to move with him.
The breakup was inevitably coming, that much he knew by the way you faltered over your words and looked away from him. You were in your last year of college, and the university nearby didn’t offer a program for your major.
The guilt on your face when you’d declined still hurt him to this day, six years later as he sat beside Ashley Graham on the plane back home to the U.S. This last mission in Spain stirred up more emotions from the past than he was comfortable with. Seeing Ada again, the woman he’d tried to let distract him from his heartbreak only to end up hurt again when he thought she’d fallen to her death, brought him right back to that unlucky night. Learning Krauser, the man whose rigorous training had nearly killed Leon and given him a sense of purpose, had abandoned his morals and joined the enemy made him seriously wonder if the life he led would ever have its upturn.
Watching Luis die, a man whose last minute efforts to be the good guy ended with a knife to his back, was what Leon considered to be the last straw. He couldn’t go on like this anymore. His life would not be reduced to following a “democracy” truly fueled by those who held the most cash in their pockets, not the people that resided within its borders.
And for the first time in six years, the second he stepped off the plane and dealt with the hours-long debriefings and mandatory quarantine, he allowed himself to revisit the past. He hadn’t even gotten a full night’s rest before he sat at his kitchen table, fingers hovering over the keyboard as he wondered if this truly was the best idea.
He wasn’t the same man that you remembered, the bright-eyed rookie long gone and leaving behind an emotionless husk held together by more glasses of whiskey than truly necessary. A workaholic, bordering on alcoholic, that refused to admit to himself or those around him that he was not okay.
“Here goes nothing,” Leon huffed beneath his breath, brushing the blonde fringe from his eyes with a shaky hand. He opened up the civilian record system he wasn’t necessarily granted access to, having called in a personal favor with Hunnigan. Slowly typing in your first and last name, he scrolled through countless hits before he found you.
You’d never left Boston judging by your driver’s license and voting records. You’d switched addresses a few times, having recently just moved to a better part of town within the last six months. He felt a twinge in his chest, the feeling unfamiliar to him, as he searched for anything that would cause his search to halt. Marriage licenses or divorce decrees were absent from your record, bringing a sigh of relief from his lips.
Leon only let himself briefly glance at your tax returns to gauge your occupation before the guilt of diving too deep into his ex-girlfriend’s sensitive information began to make him feel nauseous. He clicked out of the program, shutting his laptop before he eventually decided to finally get some sleep. USSTRATCOM had so generously granted him a few days off after too many near-death experiences for one mission.
He spent the first thirteen hours of his time off dead asleep, sleeping so deeply he didn’t even dream. And when he woke up, he booked the first flight to Boston. With only an overnight bag and your address scribbled on a sticky note, he made his way “home” for the first time since he’d left.
And now, Leon sat in a rental car parked in front of the brownstone townhome, fingers drumming against the steering wheel as the minutes dragged on. He’d been sitting here for an hour, glancing back and forth from the bustling road to your front doorstep. What would I even say to her, he thought to himself as he leaned back in the driver’s seat, frown forming on his face.
It wasn’t like he could exactly waltz up to the door, knock and say, “Hey, sorry I’ve been AWOL for six years. The government enslaved me, but I miss you and I want you back.”
No, that wouldn’t blow over well.
So now, he was left empty-minded and utterly petrified of your reaction. He wondered if maybe there was another man in your life, now. Or, if you had long closed the chapter of your life that included him and left the book on an old, dusty shelf in your mind never to be read again. Leon prayed, something he never did, that you’d find it in your heart to reread the story you used to love just one more time as he got out of the car.
Slowly, he made his way up the concrete mat and onto the doorstep, taking in the painted door and double deadlocks. Smart girl, he mused internally before he took a shuddering breath. For a second, he thought about abandoning ship. You would never know if he just turned around right now and walked away, giving up all hope that he’d once again find happiness. It would be so easy.
No, I need this. I need her.
Leon knocked a few times before he took a step back, shoving his hands deep in the pocket of his windbreaker. He didn’t trust himself to wear another leather jacket, considering the one he’d worn and lost in Spain cost more than he was comfortable spending again.
“Coming!” Your voice rang out from just behind the door, making his stomach twist and turn into knots. You sounded the same as you had when he’d known you, and it only made the nerves twisting in his stomach all the worse.
He briefly glanced at the potted plant beside the door, making a mental note of it in case he lost the minimal lunch he’d eaten thanks to his nerves. His blue eyes, a duller blue than past versions of himself, flitted right back to the door when he heard the locks click. All the air in his lungs swept away with the afternoon breeze when it swung open, and your head popped out.
The smile on your face stayed for only a few seconds before it dropped, leaving behind an expression he could only describe as utterly shocked. You blinked slowly, like you were trying to believe your own eyes as you opened the door slowly to reveal your full figure.
You were the same height you’d been at twenty, but your curves were more prominent. You looked soft around the edges, just like he’d come to like over the years. And if anything, you were just as beautiful, if not more, than you were the day he’d left you and what remained of himself behind.
“Leon?”
Asking hesitantly, your words sounded airless and no louder than a hushed whisper. You looked him over from head-to-toe, making the seasoned agent squirm just a bit under your gaze. He’d been through bootcamp and bio-terroristic attacks, for fuck’s sake, yet the way you looked at him like you’d just seen a ghost made him feel like breaking.
Leon licked his lips, looking down at his boots against the pavement as he tried to think of the best greeting possible. Something to ease you into his presence and not get himself kicked off your front porch. He settled on a simple, “Uh, hi.”
You stepped out onto the porch, barefoot and in “lazy day” clothes as you looked up at him. You frowned, and he watched your eyes flit around his face. He could feel your gaze burn on the few beauty marks and moles he had, like you were checking their authenticity.
“You’re.. God, I-” you stopped yourself, taking a deep breath. Leon could see the reels turning in your mind as you took a step closer, holding your hands out in front of you. You reached out, hesitating for a moment before you touched his arm. “You’re.. Alive?”
That threw him for a loop, eyebrows furrowing as he looked down and felt your soft hands brush over the slick fabric of his windbreaker. He could feel your fingers, as warm as he remembered, press into him. “I, uh, yeah?” He let out an awkward chuckle, clearly not having expected this kind of reaction.
Your frown deepened, causing him to mirror your expression as you tried to find your words. You stammered a bit, stringing words of surprise together before you could finally form a coherent sentence. “I saw the news,” you started, swallowing harshly. “That they’d bombed Raccoon City.. I thought.. I thought you were dead.”
Oh.
It made sense to him, now. The government had painted quite a perfect lie, sorrowfully reporting there were no survivors of the incident that flattened an entire US city in a matter of seconds. Of course, you would think he was dead. It was only natural.
“That’s a difficult story to explain,” he murmured, fingers fidgeting inside his pockets before he pulled his hands out. He’d made it this far, so far, it was too early to throw in the towel. “I can try to explain, uh. Can I come in?” Leon gestured to the open door behind you.
You winced a bit, face twisting into a look of discomfort as you sighed. “I don’t think that’s the best idea-”
“Mommy?”
A soft voice sounding from behind you snapped both Leon’s attention and yours back to the open door. He couldn’t see its owner until you quickly turned around, and the sight before him caused his heart to fall flat right out of his chest and onto the floor.
A little boy, probably elementary school aged, peered curiously up at you then around you. He looked at Leon, child-like bewilderment evident as he rocked back and forth on the door ledge. He looked just like you, mixed with someone else also standing on this porch.
“Scotty, baby,” you started, your back to Leon but unease clearly evident in your voice as you bent down to eye-level with the little baby. “I told you to stay inside, didn’t I?”
“You left the door open,” Scotty giggled, like he found the situation to be funny as he looked around you again. “Who is that?”
Leon swallowed as a small finger pointed right at him, shock and other emotions tormenting deep inside his chest. Of course, she has a kid, he internally cringed. If only he’d scrolled through your tax return just a bit more, he would’ve seen that you claimed a dependent and not found himself in this situation. He didn’t speak, only looking away from the boy and back to you.
“This is one of mommy’s friends from work,” you lied perfectly through your teeth, ushering the boy back inside. “Now, go on. I’ll be back inside in a minute.” You shut the door behind your son once he reluctantly disappeared inside, your shoulders slumped. Turning back towards Leon, it was clear that you were bracing for the incoming questions.
If the fact that the little boy had a few traits just like Leon didn’t tip him off, the name definitely would click something in the depths of his mind. His heart hammered in his chest as he looked back at you, and he could only ask one thing: “How old is he?”
You sighed through your nose, wrapping your arms around your midsection as you stared at the ground. “He turned six in June.”
June, Leon thought. He counted back on his fingers, mumbling out the months until he got to the ninth one. September. His trip down memory lane had turned into yet another day he could put on the calendar as “life-changing”.
I have a son.
The thought was fleeting, but it shook every inch of Leon’s core as he stood before you, frozen in time. Sure, at twenty-one he really hadn’t been the most responsible about “family planning” or even bothering to reach for a condom when the box was right on his nightstand, but he never would’ve thought that this would happen.
And then the soul-crushing guilt came crumbling down on him. He’d left you for Raccoon City. When you were pregnant. With his child.
“When did you find out?” His voice cracked when he asked the question, blue eyes stinging with the threat of a substance that hadn’t rolled down his face in what felt like years: tears.
You bit your lip, looking back up from the ground and into his eyes. The apologetic look on your face only made him sniffle, confirming that Scotty was indeed his. “Two days after you left,” you whispered.
“Why didn’t you try to find me?” Leon’s voice now sounded hurt. If only he’d known just two days earlier, he never would’ve left. Hell, his life may have turned out somewhat decent instead of the clusterfuck it currently was. Maybe, he’d still be a cop. “File for child support, something?”
“Leon,” you let out exasperatedly. “I thought you were dead. I spent the entire nine months mourning you and trying to figure out what to tell him when he grew up and asked where his father was.”
Leon ran a hand over his face, looking up at the sky as he tried to will the tears not to fall past his lashes. He couldn’t cry now, because if he did, he’d never stop. “I never should’ve left,” he whispered, taking a deep, controlled breath to try and get a grip on his emotions. “I should’ve just stayed there, with you.”
You frowned and took a step towards him again, placing your hand on his arm in an attempt to comfort. “You can’t blame yourself,” you tried your best to give him some sort of ease. “You didn’t know. I didn’t know. That isn’t your fault.”
Leon swallowed hard, finally looking back down at you. This time, he couldn’t stop himself from letting a few hot tears roll down his face. “I can’t even tell you what I went through,” he choked out. “And all this time, all these years, I had a kid? I had a family that thought I was dead?”
When he started to tremble, it felt like a thousand needles had driven through your heart. Clearly, in your time apart, something had broken Leon. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into an embrace as you rubbed his back. “Hey, hey,” you whispered against his chest. “Shh, it’s okay.”
His grip around you could be considered crushing as his forearms dug into your ribs, pulling you into him with all of his strength. You could feel his tears staining your shirt as he buried his face in your neck, hiding himself as he displayed his emotions for the world to see.
“I have a son,” Leon choked out through his shuddering but soft sobs, words muffled by your skin. The pain cut deep through him, torturing him as he realized he’d missed six years of his child’s life. For all he knew at this moment, Scotty had grown up believing that his father was dead. Whether or not you’d told him the “truth”, the damage had already been done.
“We have a son,” you corrected him softly, pressing a kiss to the side of his head as you held him in your arms. You didn’t know what to feel at that moment. The man you loved had suddenly reappeared, cheating death in your mind and abruptly entering your life. And before you could carefully tell him, the truth had been revealed.
“You can meet him,” you started, still speaking in a soft, soothing tone as your lips pressed against the shell of Leon’s ear. “You just can’t tell him who you are, right now. We’ll figure it out as we go, okay?”
He nodded against you, sniffling as he tried to reel himself back in. This was not how he’d expected this trip to go. But maybe, there was some light at the end of Leon’s tunnel, after all.
“Shit, fuck, shit,” Leon grunted as he limped down the corridor of the airport, feeling every ounce of pain radiating all over his body. Not even seven hours after having gotten the tar beat out of him by Maria Gomez, and getting infected with the T-virus just to be vaccinated not long after, his body definitely wanted to give out on him right now.
But, he didn’t have time to lay out on the floor and give his aching muscles a rest. He was already late, thanks to an unwanted delay in flight plans, and he had a forty-five minute drive to his destination. The event started in thirty minutes.
The man didn’t bother to change out of his mission gear, instead abandoning his tactical vest and holsters in the backseat of his Jeep after he’d gotten his luggage. His beloved and dearly departed Ducati’s keys laid abandoned as well, a sore reminder of his short time in San Francisco. Leon sped out of the airport parking lot, taking off for the suburbs of D.C. with one thing on his mind.
He didn’t even bother to tell you that he’d landed, instead doing as best as he could to get there on time. He owed it to you, and to Scotty, to at least show up for this.
After getting caught in a roadblock, Leon did something he never thought he’d do. He’d flashed his DSO badge to the officer, mumbling something about “official business” that would definitely make his way back to his supervisor, considering he’d gotten out of a ticket for going 60 in a 45. But right now, he didn’t care.
He finally pulled into the parking lot of the high school, circling around three times before he found a parking spot. He almost forgot to lock the Jeep as he rushed inside, making his way towards the gymnasium. They’d just cut off the lights, making it a lot harder to find you in the bleachers until he saw you waving your arms.
“Excuse me, sorry, excuse me, just gonna scooch past you real quick,” he spouted off to every person he cut in front of, inching his way down the row of plastic benches until he got next to you. Leon sat down with a huff once you’d moved your purse from the spot you’d saved him, resting his hands on his knees. “Did I miss anything?”
“Nothing important,” your daughter, Bella, huffed as she scrolled through the phone she was always glued to. “Nothing but boring speeches so far.”
Leon reached out, yanking it from her hands and tucking it into his back pocket. He held a hand up when she tried to protest. “Ah,” he interrupted. “Pay attention. If I can make it, you can get off your phone for twenty minutes.”
You laughed softly as she scowled and looked back towards the stage. Leaning against your husband, you interlaced your fingers with his. “How’d it go?”
“Awful,” Leon grumbled, rubbing his shoulder with his free hand. “Don’t be surprised if I’m purple under my clothes.”
Before you could reply, the principal took her place on stage again and announced the start of the senior class. After reading off names, she finally got to the K’s. You and Leon both leaned forward in your seats, eyes glued to the caps and gowns until you saw the head of floppy blonde hair making his way towards the podium.
“Scotty Kennedy,” the woman announced. You could feel Leon squirming beside you, trying to hold in any noise until your son had actually accepted his diploma. “Following in his father’s footsteps, he will be attending the DC Metropolitan Police Academy in the Fall.”
As soon as the diploma touched Scotty’s fingers, Leon leapt up from his seat. Usually not one to draw much attention to himself, this was definitely one of those rare moments he expressed his excitement. Using two fingers to whistle loudly, he cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled out towards the stage.
“That’s my boy!”
Back To Black
Ethan Winters X Reader
Previous
Ethan was holding you close to him as you both slowed dance to the music along with your other friends. He was off the beat, but still, you followed him and went with his flow.
You couldn't help but laugh and giggle because Ethan will sometimes step on your foot and say sorry many times. He was also giggling with his flushed faces. The water that Rebecca gave to him didn't seem to sober him up.
He was trying to make small talks and give you some dad jokes he had gathered into his mind so that he could tell you all of it. It was corny, but you couldn't help but laugh because his slur words and pinkish faced.
"Thank you." He mumbles, but enough for you to hear. It seems like standing up and dancing with you sober him a little. You smiled, but your brow is raised, tilting your head a little before asking; "What for?"
Ethan averted his eyes from you. "Taking care of Rose when I couldn't. Checking on us always. Giving gifts, even if they're small or huge." He said you can feel his thumb drawing circles at the back of your palms.
"You know it's my job to protect you and rose, right?" You said you were hesitant to say it at first because you were afraid that you might offend or disappoint him somehow, but you need to tell him that so there's no complications.
He looks back at you, staring deeply into your eyes. "But it's more than that.." he stopped for a moment. "You give us more than protection. You provided Rose with motherly care that she couldn't have. You love her like a mother and care for her like a mother." He took a deep breath before continuing again.
"You love us, like it is real... At least, that's what I thought." He said, looking away as his cheeks turned red again but now not from the alcohol.
You paused, unable to speak anything. He was right. There's no lie to everything he said. You weren't just doing it for the job. You were doing it for your love for Rose...
Could you be? I'm in love with Ethan, too?
You never experienced real love before, never had a boyfriend, and if you did have some guys who are just a fling like Leon.
You look into Ethan's eyes. He was looking back to you. Memories of you and him came flooding in. You act like a married couple. Like a true parents of Rose, the true mother of Rose.
Heart beating fast as the realization hits you like a rushing train.
You blinked and tried to avoid Ethan's eyes but ended up staring at them. The world seems to stop. The music sounds un-audible like a background noise. The only thing you could hear is heart beathing fast as you stare deeply into Ethan's eyes. You felt his rough hand massaging your hands as you watched his flushed face turn into a worried one.
"Are you alright?" Suddenly, everything went back to normal as you heard Ethan's worried voice and saw his beautiful eyes scan you. You nod your head, clearly trying to catch up on what's happening.
"Ethan.." You breathed out. You couldn't leave his eyes.
"Yeah?" He asked. You didn't realize that you and him had stopped moving but are still in the position of dancing. His hand on your waist, your hands on his shoulder, and hands glued with his.
"Would you mind taking me to dinner?" You asked, still staring at his eyes. Ethan's eyes widened, shocked at what he had heard coming from you.
"H-huh?" He managed to say while still trying to process your question. His heart started to beat fast as you could feel his hands becoming cold under your touch.
Maybe that was too much? You shouldn't have said it.
You were about to pull from him, but he tightened his hold on you, making you look back at him.
"I didn't say no.." He said as the side of his lips tugged into a smile. Your mouth agape open but immediately turn into a smile.
"Then.. after this vacation?" You said as you both started to dance again, smiling sweetly at him. You couldn't help yourself. The realization of the things you felt towards him from the past few months made it clearer.
You couldn't find out what the impossible feelings you had before, but now with Ethan. Everything seems possible.
"How about Leon, though? Aren't you two something?" He asks, looking over Leon, who's watching the both of you. You look at Leon too and stick your tongue out to tease him. He was shocked but smiled after while he shook his head.
You and Leon, like each other. Yes, you love him, but not the way you love Ethan. With Ethan, you know the feelings are always there but couldn't point it out, but with Leon, there's always something but always nothing too.
"I'll talk him out. There is nothing really important about us, though." You said in a low tone voice. Ethan nods his head, knowing it from the start.
All of your friends know that there's nothing really deep going on between you and Leon. It was like you two are just playing around.
But with Ethan, there's no playing around.
Back To Black
Ethan Winters X Reader
A/N: Now that I'm done with my first Au, I would like to open up to some requests now with this Ethan Winters mini series! So please, if you like the works I post and would like to request, feel free to do it.
This story would also most likely include the reader who is in a situationship with Leon. I named this after one of my favourite songs called "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse. I couldn't stop imagining myself slow dancing and laughing with Ethan, which is just soooo romantic. I feel like Ethan is a shy type of guy that his shyness would wash away after a few glasses of wine. So I decided to make this and put some twist on it. I also ship some specific characters whose prob canon, if you dont like the ship- welp, jump out of it.
Included characters: Ethan Winter (Mia Winters), Rosemary Winters, Leon Kennedy, Claire & Chris Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers and Steve Burnside.
Warnings: home wrecker (kinda), physical touch, jealousy, and some teasing.
Next
It's been hell of a whole year that had been passed, and you are now on your way to welcoming another whole year, which you wish would be a lot better than the other one.
You're on your way to a cabin that you and your friends have rented to celebrate the upcoming New years.
Finally, at some point in your life this year, you had a time to take a break and relax for sometimes with your friends who had been mostly on your whole life.
Being part of BSAA, especially being THE captain of one of the special forces that could put up to the strength of Chris Redfield's group, is one of the heaviest work you've been on. The pressure of being the captain of a special group and pressure of carefully trying to not lose them in every mission you've been through is being a huge worried on your life that you end up having anxiety attacks when you're alone.
Well, at least you had someone who could rest your head in with his shoulder.
Leon S. Kennedy, the MORE than friends for you but LESS than lovers, too. You couldn't really point out your relationship with him, but you sure now that there is something between you and him. With every touch, every look and every word you exchange between each other has a deep meaning to it. It's fragile and yet blurry at the same time. It's like it's near, but you couldn't get a hold of it.
Afraid of commitment? Maybe, afraid of love? Never cross your mind. You know and would never deny it that you love every single bit of Leon and every moment you spend with him.
From the day you met during the Racoon City out break, from doing missions together as a federal agent under government's hold and up until now. Even if you left being an agent and got promoted as a Captain in BSAA.
BSAA saw your potential. They saw Leon's too, but the government couldn't lose leon out of their touch. The president was very fond of you two, but he has to pick one between one of his best and favourite agents. He couldn't lose both.
You pull up in the driveway of a huge cabin in the middle of the woods, but there is also a frozen lake at the side of it. Not far away, and you could literally see the reflection of the sunset through the frozen cold waters of the lake as snows fall down from the sky.
You couldn't help but sigh and admire the view after parking your car next to Carlo's car, which you easily recognize by the brand of it.
Your gaze shifted to the main door of the cabin where you saw something move there from your peripheral vision. You're lighted like a moon in a deep dark sky as you saw little Rose who just turned 4 years old months ago.
You chuckled as Ethan followed her around as Rose recognized your car and immediately got excited after knowing you arrived. You hoped off of your car immediately as you open your arms while Rose stumbles on her way to you. Good thing she was near for you to catch her.
"Rose!" You happily exclaimed in excitement as you lift her up and twirl yourself with her, making you both let out a giggle.
You swear this kid has a great memory, especially when it comes to you. She immediately remembered you even though it was just your car but couldn't even remember Who's Chris and Carlos. Maybe because of their similar body built and skin colour which you all laugh about as you find it cute.
More than 3 years had passed since what happened at Romania, Ethan and Rose were saved, and as for Mia. She was found dead after a year from the kidnapping incident that happened. According to Chris, Mia left Europe without telling Ethan, you or Chris. For the third time, it was from her work, and now it killed her.
There was conflict between Chris and Ethan after the kidnapping, since the way Chris is doing things is inappropriate for Ethan to approve.
"You could've warned me!" Ethan insists for many times now, resulting for you to be assigned to handle Ethan now that he is considered as a 'bioweapon'.
He was under monitor for a year and a half, and they ran experiments on him. He has no choice but to agree because if he couldn't, BSAA might not even give him a chance to see his daughter again. Though they let him be for now as long as nothing goes bad to him, they left you to monitor them.
As for Rosemary, BSAA decided not to do anything with her YET. You insisted it, you could never allow them to use or hurt her. BSAA now how much power you hold, that's why they obey you with your words and reason why they hire you here.
You glad you accepted working for them because they were the reason for you to meet Rose.
"How's my favourite baby?" You cood as lightly pinch her puffy and red cheeks. She giggled again, and your words and voice tickled her.
She knows understand things and learn more and more as each day goes by. You watched her grow up after you found out that Mia Winters is found dead. It was hard for Ethan. It was very hard for him.
You were checking on him everytime specially when he lost his wife. You take care of Rosemary too when Ethan undergoes through experiments or training.
Now, he was undergoing more military training for two years to enter as a BSAA member.
You didn't question that BSAA is now using a bioweapon to kill some bioweapons because you know to yourself that it will happen in the future. You and Chris had a topic about it before.
"M-mommy!" Rose babble out of her mouth, making you stare at her in awe. Of course, during the times you were with them almost every day, you couldn't help but treat Rose as your own child, too.
"Not mommy Rose, just Y/N." You said to her and touched the tip of her small nose as she played with your finger.
"She's still calling you that?" Ethan said, walking past the two of you to get your luggage out of your car.
"Well, I must be a cool mom." You said proudly to him as you continue to play with Rose, who is still in your arms.
You heard Ethan said something, but you couldn't hear it.
"Y/N!" You have a very familiar voice at the distance. You look over to the porch of the cabin and see your best friend Claire leaning on the ballisters while waving happily at you.
You felt excitement in your heart the more people you see in here. It's been a while since you saw Claire. The last time you saw her was when you visited Chris' home, and at the same time, she was also there just dropping off some things for Chris. That was 4 years ago.
"Long time no see, Y/n!" You smiled at the person who stood beside Claire.
"Still alive, Steve?" You said smiling widely as happily Rose waved back to them when they saw them waving at you, making you all giggle at his cuteness.
"What a reunion." You heard Carlos say, coming out of the garage from the side of the cabin. A cup on his hands as he nods at you with a smile.
"Yup." Ethan said as he stood next to you, agreeing at what Carlos had said. You smiled at him as you locked your car while still holding Rose at your side.
You tried to drop her down earlier, but she keeps crawling to you and whining about now wanting to get away from you.
"Alright, Rose, stay with y/n as long as you want." Ethan said, chuckling and shaking his heas before following you as you walk towards the cabin.
You look back at him smiling.
The sky is already dark, lighted up by the bright moon with the stars. The music that's been playing eversince earlier surrounds the living room as you and your friends dance and drink together.
Carlos and Jill are happily dancing together at the wide space in the living room. Carlos took a lot of convincing just to ask Jill to dance, but glady they're having fun now.
Carlos likes Jill a lot, but never know if Jill really likes him back. You and Claire ask her before but never get a straight answer.
"Nice of you to show up." You heard Chris said, making you turn your head to hi. Who's sitting at a stool at the mini bar here in the living room, beside him is Ethan, who looks tipsy by the red on his face.
You know you couldn't have him tipsy since he had his daughter here who will need him sooner or later.
You'll just have to find a way to sober him up later.
It was Leon! He has bits of snow in his leather jacket and his hair, too. He looks awfully tired, though.
You walked up to them and brushed off the snow out of his leather jacket. He immediately tensed up and turned to you. He relaxed when he saw it's just you, smiling at you.
"I'm glad you made it here safely." You said to him as you crossed your arms above your chest while smiling at him too.
"Same here to you." He replied, knocking off the snows out of his hair and looking up to you after with a small but tired smile.
"Looks like the president keeps you up too long." Chris said, breaking the eye contact between you and Leon. You both look at Chris, but you end up looking at Ethan, who you can feel staring at you.
He immediately looks away after you catch him staring, his already flushed face turning more into dark red.
"Ethan? Are you okay?" Rebecca asked while getting drinks from the other side of the counter at the mini bar. She also noticed the reaction Ethan did after looking at you.
You tilted your head a little, watching every move Ethan makes. Somethings seems so off with him.
"Y-Yeah." He answers Rebecca's question and waves his hand off.
"Too drunk already?" Leon said to Ethan in a teasing way. Ethan shook his head and took a sip on the glass in his hand. You watched him drink as he made a sour expression after chugging the alcohol.
"Please, Leon, don't be an ass." Claire butted in walking near you and putting an arm above your shoulders. He was followed by Steve at the stool next to Ethan
"I'm not." Leon glared at Claire, but she laughed it off. "He wasn't being an ass. He always was." Chris said and took a sip on his glass and gave Leon a glass that Rebecca poured in.
"Seems like Carlos and Jill are having fun over there." Steve said, watching the two who's obviously having fun dancing together. Carlos doesn't seem to not want to let go of Jill, and Jill seems to have fun. You haven't seen her laugh in ages.
"You wanna dance?" Claire asked Steve, Steve smirked without saying anything and stood up before pulling Claire towards the space where Jill and Carlos were having fun.
"Wow.. fun." You mumble to yourself as you took another sip to your glass, not expecting anyone to hear it and walking up near Rebecca. You ask her for another, which she gladly gives.
"I'm glad you guys had time for a vacation." You said to Rebecca as she pours into your glass. She smiled sweetly and nodded.
"Yup, what a hassle year for us." She agreed, making you smile back at her.
"Wanna have fun too?" You heard Ethan ask beside you, you look at him. He was smiling drunkly at you.
"Ethan, have this before having 'fun'?" Rebecca handed him a bottle of water. He thanked her and accepted it before drinking it.
"Come on!" Ethan said excitedly after he finished the bottle and pulled you towards where the others danced.
The music that is playing is now Back To Black by Amy Winehouse. The meaning of the song doesn't match the atmosphere of the surroundings, but no one actually cares about it, and their mind is set to having fun with each other.
