Ngl tho you guys, though sixes get like a lot of criticism for just the way they are, one thing that I’ve noticed across the board for them all is that they’re extremely loyal people. They never forget you. Even if you disappear off the face of the planet, they’ll still message you to see if you’re alright. They’ll make time for you. They won’t forget your birthday. Like I have had many problems with sixes, but they are, without a doubt, the only type that has always made me feel loved and that I mattered.
#i know i said i was moving blogs but i thought the sixes that used to follow me may appreciate this#idk man i'm not one for positivity but i'm in an emotional high rn so excuse my touchy feeliness#this is my new blog tho if anyone wants to follow

Western food is prolly more bland bc rice isn't an essential staple of their cuisine...
#so my ni says#let's just ignore that western places didnt have as much access to eastern spices sshhhhh#like don't get me wrong#sometimes western food is flavorful but u compare it to legit indian and chinese cuisine and they fall flat#i'm just really prejudiced against cultures that don't eat rice regularly bc i need it with practically every meal#my ni also says that people that prefer forks also prefer staples while people that like chopsticks prefer paperclips#bc one stabs while the other holds gently... softly... lovingly#hello my name is sheri and i hate staples#we interrupt this hiatus to bring u nonsensical content#but tbh rice is like... it dampens the flavor of a food and makes it more palatable to the tongue#at least imo

It's really cool when you find out that you're not alone in the world when it comes to really random, illogical, and strange things one does or may have done in their lives? Like when I was little, like three years old, we used to live by the ocean. And naturally living by the ocean, the air carries a lot of salt. Anyway, most homes have sliding screen doors that lead to the porch, balcony, or backyard? So when I was little, my brother and I used to lick the screen door bc it was salty and apparently tasted good. And recently I was talking to my friend and for some reason brought this up? And she mentioned that she used to do this as a kid too! And it's just???
Idk why, but I find it absolutely fascinating and exciting when I find connections like these in such random areas. It's like.... as diverse as we can be, common denominators can be found in the most random of places. Of course everyone is different, but even if that may be true, we can still be connected in ways we don't see. There are so many links just waiting to be discovered and just... imagine everything we can learn from them, you know? That's so incredible.
#have i ever mentioned how much i love being a dominant perceiver?#bc i really do. like.... discovering things and observing without judgment is just so fun to me#i am not forced to make choices about my observations. i just take it in like a sponge#joy is made in the simple act of discovery no matter how mundane#oh but i also like finding personal connections bc just#idk like.... maybe it's bc i'm such a lonely person that connections like these make me so happy#when i find out i have things like licking a screen door in common with my friends it's kind of??? idk?#the closest word that comes to mind is 'flattering' but that doesn't capture my feelings exactly#i have a hard time opening myself up long enough to make a connection with people#so finding connections like these just... makes me feel less alone#i'm not as cut off from the world as i feel from time to time

Thinking about Fe today (and perhaps being racist depending on how you see it), as a biracial person, I can't tell you how much I despise dealing with full blooded native people of different races... in terms of being the middle man. Like because you're raised with knowledge of different cultures, you know the social norms, customs, etc that govern each race. But then when you have to play the middle man between two races, by attempting to cater to both sides, you're seen as being completely unreasonable by the people you're trying to help. Like it's so incredibly stressful bc one side will be telling you to do something but you know you can't do it bc the other side would consider it rude, etc etc etc. Nobody understands except you.
For Fe, I really do believe that there is a critical period in which one's Fe adapts to their environment. And once this critical period is over, their Fe is unable to adapt anymore. If you're born and raised in Alabama, you'll have an Alabama based Fe. Then if you move to Peru when you're 25, their Fe would seem like Fi. And on the flip side, your Fe to them will seem like Fi. At least on a surface level.
I've seen personally that if you throw an Fe-dom of a certain age into a new environment with a completely different social atmosphere than what they're used to, it's incredibly hard for them to change and accept the new values they encounter in this new place. They will see their new environment as rude and unreasonable while the new environment will view the person in that same way. So in the case where someone moves to a new social environment, surprisingly the feeling function stereotypes switch. Fe becomes the unreasonable and selfish function while Fi becomes the ever changing adaptable one.
#do i explain this well? no#do i care? i sorta do but am too tired to explain#i just need to vent#i spoke about this before a while back and it's coming to bite me in the butt now#in my group project we have to interview the accounting head of a company?#the professional we got is full on japanese while majority of my teammates are full on filipino#i'm so stressed#both sides are asking/telling me to do things that would be considered rude by the other side#i literally hate this group project#there's such a shift in values?#idk if this is a cultural thing or more typology but my teammates value the teacher's input and are very unwilling to stray from it#they need to make sure everything is okay and approved of before actually doing it#while on the opposite hand the japanese professional is extremely time based and needs prompt response with everything#so where teammates can't make a decision without consulting teacher the professional needs answers quickly#and i'm the main contact between the two 8')#then i was raised to be extremely independent and the means don't matter as long as the ends match what is required#always big picture#i was not raised to pay close intricate attention on the fine details#it's so stressful bc everything is moving so slowly when it could be much faster and i just#WHEEZES

The sheer amount of dense bumbling mistyped ni-users on here is so terrifying to me. Like man, what if I'm that delusional and I don't even realize.
#like by saying this i'm not implying 'validate me!!!!!! >.<'#being able to understand others and being understood myself means far more to me than being right#i have a lot of confidence in my own logic while simultaneously having no confidence at all#in my head everything is right until proven otherwise and i'm constantly looking for 'otherwise'#i don't really believe 'otherwise' stops existing either#'otherwise' doesn't have to be a piece of evidence that contradicts logic but can help define it better#i have short term confidence in my logic. it makes sense in the very moment#i don't have long term confidence in my logic however bc i am only one person and 'otherwise' is perhaps infinite#in one vs infinity the odds are not good#anyway i lowkey went off topic but i feel that other people are the biggest source of 'otherwise'#if i cannot make sense to people my logic is wrong or needs to be refined#sorta like extps i need a reaction from people to know what to do next#sometimes it makes me feel that my need for human input is proof of me being an so variant but i know that's not how so works#it's a factor of Fe?#i feel many njs don't want to acknowledge 'otherwise'#they are confident in their ni while i am not#i envy that sometimes

It's really interesting how people that have had difficult upbringings where they were controlled and/or abused end up becoming 8s or 8 fixes because it seems just so... you'd expect that they'd bow to their upbringing, but instead, they become rebels.
#i was talking with my grandpa today and he's like... an sp/sx isxp?#i used to think that he was a 4w5 but now i'm thinking 9w8/8w9?#his father disappeared on a fishing boat out at sea when he was younger and his mother was extremely mentally ill#he was abused by his grandparents bc thats who he was forced to move in with#he was telling me how much of a rebel he was when he was younger and how angry he used to be#about how he told off his university band professor which ended up with him ruining his chances of getting hired anywhere#he apparently wrote a three page essay about how terrible the band professor was omf#i wish i was better at typing so i could be more accurate#my grandpa has no friends at all bc he doorslams them the moment they betray him lmao#which is lowkey easy bc he isn't a very likeable person even tho i like him very much#but it's just really... idk...#i mean it's nothing amazing having an 8/w8 fix but the way that fix develops is really just...#idk man#instead of bowing to others you choose to fight against being controlled#you gain the confidence to act on your anger#it's sad that people are put in the situations where theyre forced to develop an 8/w8 fix but like...#idk man... it's really amazing and beautiful too
