Aelin knelt on the ground, not caring that the mud soaked through her pants, that the rain threatened to rust her weapons. Her shoulders were pitched forward, hair in her eyes, and the strength left in her muscles seemed to have leeched into the earth below her.

“We need to go.”

Rowan’s voice came from behind her, and Aelin could hear him preparing for their next movement. Leather and steel and the elements mixed in the familiar sound of battle.

She was tired. So tired of fighting.

Aelin’s fists clenched, digging into the mud and sticks and leaves. Her nails bent and broke and her knuckles flexed and her arms strained against the ground. That this should remain, while her friends moved on without her… Where was the justice in that?

“Gavriel.” The name stuck in her throat as she thought of Aedion. He had no attachments to Gavriel, but he did to his father. The blow of his death would could later, once Aedion could recognize its significance.

“You can do this,” Rowan said. He kept his distance, allowing Aelin to rely on her own strength to stand. But she stayed on the ground, struck lower than she had known she could go.

“Just please be my best friend right now, and not my husband. Not the person I confessed my love to,” she whispered. Aelin could barely hear herself over the sound of the rain, light as it was.

“Then get up,” Rowan said. “Get off your knees, and fight. Fight like he did.” He extended a hand down to her. “Be the woman he knew you could be.”

It wasn’t for herself that she needed to fight. It wasn’t because Terrasen would fall without her, that there would be no queen to take the crown. It was because Marion had sacrificed herself, because Elide had traveled so far, and Yrene had taken every chance she could to help others.

Aelin took his hand, pulling herself out of the mud. As she stood her muscles tensed, preparing themselves. “Where do they need us?”

Even LGBT people are afraid to create LGBT rep half the time because you fucking goblins critique things with LGBT rep so harshly that the second it does something that you personally don’t like it gets treated even worse than the shows that have absolutely no rep in them.

Imagine your sister/mother/aunt and possibly even you was being raped by multiple adult men, DISGUSTING

And it goes on every single fucking day. This sounds like pure hell. People are hiding everywhere they can, probably not getting out and getting enough food. There is so much shit wrong with that.

And lastly, it doesn’t matter how much influence you have on social media or what your status is as long as you post just one single thing about what is happening right now. You are helping. Look, I for example have 20 followers, but do I care? No, maybe only 5 of my followers will see this, but that’s better than 0.
