The beginning messy sketches of another small comic with my oc fairy group.

In the beginning of my story we would witness the electric/energy lose her wings traveling to college because of a few fairy hunters. She would then have to face learning how to fight and move in a whole different way to keep up with her group.

I like to think that alfea (or whatever I will call the college) would have a class/side group of non flyers! Fairys with torn wings, wing defects, clipped wings, fairys born without wings, wings that were completely removed by another force of will, ect. - that support each other to push the limits of their magic and abilities to make them more mobile and creative - making them battle ready no matter the limitations! (Maybe even designing a fairy that can only fly)

On her first day of class she looks off into the distance, watching others fly she's worrying about how she can even begin to keep up. Confronted by one of the professors and the supported by the group, she begins to understand that her worth is based on her abilities and creativity, and nothing would ever make her less of a fairy, with or without wings, and quite literally takes her first step forward (and trips rather rapidly since she's never used her magic like this before)

I think having rapid speed when running when she surrounds herself in her electricity would be fun, but it would take her quite a while to learn. Things like: how to control her speed, build the stamina to actually run, and gain the confidence to use her electricity around others she's physically close to would all be important markers for her.

I loved when winx club played with other students in school actually existing, it was so much fun learning about other powers and seeing character dynamics between students, and knowing that there are others who have a specific type of magic (nature magic, music, ect.) and I would so play with the idea of having a few friends here and there outside of the main group!

I finally did the designs on the last two girls, It was hard making something that I liked, butwas still in the style that they are going for....

I actually liked Aisha's new design the best, which is to say I didn't like it too much. Her shoes were way too tall, and she's only one color! All the other girls get 2 colors but her, and as much as I enjoy her wings, they are the same (silhouette) as Bloom's just more blue..... Also how could they not make her SEA FOAM GREEN, I know a lot of people missed her hair that represented waves, so I brought it back. I brought back a hint of her original design with the slit skirt and metal rings. And a pink that matches her magic so it's not so intense...

Techna was so hard to think about in the style of the new show, in the original she's a girl who likes athletic, simple clothes, but she feels over detailed now (as does every one else) - yet somehow equally has no calls to her tech besides the neon bands and her wings. I miss her helmet as silly as it was, so I brought some extendable goggles as a piece that sits above her ear. Brought back her lilac and greens.

Drawing over these designs they released really makes you realize how much of the designs feel AI.... The odd stomachs, the hair, the wings, everything.... I just hope the show has some hope:(

This is one of the designs I was debating making into a fairy, but I kinda love her as a witch! I would love to include her into my story, so a possible love interest?? She seems too kind to be evil - but what do I know

I think id call her Hazel, she would be a little scared of cats, even if they like her

I have so many thoughts about what makes the witches different from fairys, but I might make a separate post about it - there's so many races that just don't get described in the show (elves, nymphs, paladin, sorcerers) that I can't just not write a essay on it

Oooh yay my (very minor) world building dump!

I imagine when it comes to the fairy race, their wings would constantly be out, and be hidden with magic when needed! It would be a part of life for them, allowing them to show emotions more, have clothing that allows for wings to come through, or just using them to slow their falls and jumps.

I don't think they would be able to fly until they transform, kinda like how pixies in pixie hollow can't fly without dust, fairys can't fly (well) until they transform. The magic in the transformation would make them lighter, and make their magic stronger.

I also think it would be cute if fairies would wash each others wings as a way to hang out/take care of their friends

I condensed the worlds into one world, with only maybe 1-2 other habitable planets. It seemed a little wild for one kingdom to rule an entire planet - pardon my sucky map.

The pixies would be quite different! Bug and flower like. This art fight sheet is the only real drawing I have of the designs hehe

There magic would be quite limited, beings of pure magic and nature. Their skin would be flower like, lots of stripes and patterns. Anything that helps them hide in the forest - they would wilt with the change of seasons, becoming more dull in the winter and colorful in the summer.

They would speak in a inaudible language, but bonding with a pixie allows communication to happen

Fairy hunters would be a separate race, beings who are incapable of producing their own magic, but by using dust/blood/wings/horns or absorbing magic from other natural magic creatures, they can perform their own spells. Most magic is ineffective against them, even healing magic - it would have to be their own alerted magic or magic that affects the environment to affect them!

Most of these magic-less users don't hunt magic creatures anymore, living a simple life without magic, but there has been a recent rise from a certain group near major cities, attacking mostly fairies for their easy access to their wings.

One of the specialist would be from this race, someone who wants to live a simple life without magic.

I'm not sure if this is his final design, but I used the colors of iron, but he feels a little basic to me, not sure though! Iron colored hair and eyes are what indicate who can't use magic, or can absorb magic - similar to how iron affects fey in fairy tales.

Since he has the natural ability to absorb magic, he would develop a close relationship with the fairy of electricity, as she finds him as a place where she can actually show emotions fully, and he finds her company sweet as most fairies and other magic creatures are scared of him because of the increasing attacks in the cities.

The ground/rock/mineral fairy I designed would also be able to absorb a lot of her magic! But she's not the most affectionate person (yet)

The fairy of something......?

I'm not sure about his powers, I was thinking something related to winds, rhythm or moment, but I can't settle on anything! Let alone name half my ocs lol.

A hopeless romantic, who wouldn't stand up for himself, but would die for a friend. I imagine he would sew most of his clothes as he hates crowded places and shopping. The kind of person who flirts as a sign of affection and friendship or as a joke, but would freak if anyone actually flirted back.

This one was a little quickly done, but still fun none the less!

The fairy of herbs and healing

This unnamed fairy is a nature fairy, with only powers in healing. A mom friend and oldest sibling energy. She has a tendency to spread herself thin trying to take care of everyone.

Without many physical attacks, she worries about her worth on a team, and can't see how much she takes care of everyone.

The fairy of electricity/energy

This one was done very quickly, so it's messy hehe

No name yet, she looks very grumpy all the time, but in reality she is just trying to avoid showing too many emotions - she has a tendency to shock people when excited!

On her way to attend college, she ran into some fairy hunters, escaping with little to no wings. She would spend her time at college learning to fight on the ground instead of the sky - learning about her powers in a whole different way!

The fairy of strength!

Based on Japanese fighting beetles, this fairy had magic that affects herself, making her stronger, faster, or even heighten her senses.

A love of jello (beetle jelly), a stubborn head, and always ready for adventure.

The fairy of light and illusions, a sweet, anxious, studious, academic personality of a fairy.

She's wears ballet shoes as I enjoy the illusion of weightlessness the dancers have

I am open to names as I suck with them. Unlike the other girls I have in her group, she would fight a bit more from the side lines, as her attacks are not very physical, since they are illusions.

This is the fairy of minerals!

I don't really have a name for her, but I was leaning towards peridot, or some other type of green stone

I imagine the fairy hunters are a actual problem for all fairys in my little oc world and she lost her arm at a young age trying to escape them

Flora's design is one of the better ones with the new designs, but there's still so much going on. This is one character they could use a lot of pink on, but they used a cold pink, removing the warmth and romantic mood she had. I miss her green accent colors, and I warmed up her skin tone a little more. I actually really love the braid they gave her, so it stays!

Warming up the pinks and adding green feels like it does so much! And those shoes need to go lol

Oh Stella, my beloved, they washed her out so much ;-; I feel like they were also going super hero ish/goddess but by using so much gold you can hardy see her face. I trimmed the bangs to show her eyebrows, I feel like someone who lives for the dramatics needs to be able to show some more emotion after all. Added more sun shining elements. I liked the bands they incorporated into the design in the original, but it didn't make sense to me. I liked the idea behind her wings a lot!! But they need to be simplified and transparent. And her staff, give it back!

Removed the pink again .... Also added way more blue!! I kinda gave her cowboy boots, and added a crown and pig tails, also blue eye shadow not yellow... Also tried to stick to the style of the new show again

WoaH uh oh! Another super fast resign of the reboot but bloom this time!!! I feel like they were trying to make her feel a little classic super-hero ish with the high boots, armor like shoulder piece and the high pony tail - but it comes off as more cheerleader to me

But again - I hate how much pink they bring into the designs (yellow was such a good accent color)!!! I actually didn't mind the purples since it does feel like a flame. I wanted her to feel more tomboyish, again while still trying to keep to the style of the new show..... But I hate her ponytail look, I miss her crown, her free flowing fire-y hair, and I wanted to add a creative flair to suit her personality, so I added purple hot rod flames?? Lol - also the designs need to be simplified!!!!

I'm not sure about her having beads, but I think it would be funny if she used those old hair stampers everyone had in the 2000s

I am excited for the new winx club!! But I'm also so sad about some of the outfits and transformations !!!

I feel like everyone has a bubbly personality in their transformations making them feel all the same, and they bring in way to much pink into their designs!! I miss musas blue accents and darker maroon colors.

Forgive my terrible edit as I did this so fast, but I feel like a lot of the elements are good but too over designed in the new version- so here is a musa transformation, with her high pigtails and headphones while trying to keep it to the style that the show is going for (others maybe coming soon)
