What do you think Pema envies most about Lin? Yeah, we all know about the thing with Tenzin. But Lin has many qualities Pema can only dream of; surely there must be things about Lin that make her even more jealous.

I think Pema is jealous of the male attention Lin gets + Lin's energy in commanding a room.

To be fair, Lin gets a lot of attention in general because she's Toph daughter. But if you didn't know who she was, y'all would still be thirsting, barking, asking for nudes from her anyway bc she's THAT WOMAN. She has this aura that is unforgettable, tough, resilient, sensual, and intelligent.

Lin got people breaking their necks to get a second peek at her.

Pema, on the other hand, is forgettable. You would see her one time and wouldn't look twice in her direction. I think becoming Tenzin's wife and mothering his children is what garners attention, and taht's it. She doesn't have something for herself that she's known for.

In that sense, she's envious of Lin because Lin can say "I broke the record for # of cases in RC." Or "I became the youngest police chief in history." Lin has merits of her own taht no one can take away. While Pema has merits that are from her connection with Tenzin.

The other thing is Lin is totally desired and chased after, without her police chief title.

I don't think Pema gets that same attention and she gets jealous of it. She wants to be desired by other men and see Tenzin jealous. But that doesn't happen.
