A curse so dark and lonely review 💓 I LOVED THIS BOOK! I didn’t know what to expect but omg I loved it! This book is a beauty and the best retelling. Fall in love a break the curse. Every season a girl is taken to try and break the curse, this time a mistake was made Harper tried to stop a girl from being taken and was then taken herself to Emberfall. A powerful force is standing against emberfall and it will take more than a broken curse to help Harper, Rhen and his people.  I love the whole plot to this, it felt like a more darker retelling of beauty and the beast (due to how powerful and murderous the monster is).The author just did such a good job describing the world that I could just imagine it straight from the beginning!  Harper was just such a strong badass character yet so caring and selfless to everyone around her. Grey oh my god GREY THE END. I can’t wait to read the second book (as also shown in this photo) cause I need those Grey POV’s ASAP. Grey was just so nice and caring towards Harper and him sticking with Rhen this whole time just such a nice person. And then finally Rhen. I didn’t like Rhen much at the beginning but he had such development throughout the book and got more open and caring towards Harper. In the end I love the two together.  My only thing was it was so predictable you knew exactly what was gonna happen. Even the ending I knew it was coming. I still LOVED the ending and just everything but I saw it all coming hence why I’m confused on what to rate this. It’s between a 4.5 and a 5 but I think I’m just gonna go with the 5 cause of how much I loved all the characters (might change though). I highly recommend this book if you haven’t read it already just such a fun read! Age Range: 13+ Genre: Young Adult Fantasy retelling Star rating: 4.5/5 stars ⭐️

Grimrose girls review  “Descendants meets pretty little liars” SUCH AN ACCURATE COMPARISON. This is the first book in a duology of the Grimrose girls. Ella, Yuki and Rory have returned to their elite boarding school after their friend Adriene has died. They were told it was suicide but the girls think there’s something more to it. Nani the new girl joins them in their search but they discover things they couldn’t even imagine. They uncover ancient dark fairytales curses and attempt to forge their own fates before it’s too late. It has LGBTQ+ characters, it has mystery, it has dark fairytale retellings WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT!? I absolutely fell in love with this book. It surprised me, it made me intrigued, it made me wanting more and I just need the second one ASAP. The only downside I found was it dragged a little bit at the beginning I got kind of bored. But as soon as it got into it more I was hooked! It just so effortlessly incorporated so many fairytales that it just amazed me. Dark fairytales is one of my favourite genre of fairytales. I have yet to find books that have incorporated this so I’m insanely happy I did! I may even go and buy a physical of this book once it’s out Overall I gave this book 4.5 stars! I loved it but the beginning wasn’t the strongest. This book comes out on the 26th of October and I’d HIGHLY recommend picking it up! Thank you to sourcebooks fire for the ARC via Netgally in exchange for an honest review! 🤍 Age Range: 13+ Genre: Mystery  Star rating: 4.5 stars ⭐️

Twelves says to save Christmas review 💗 THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE!! Christmas is one of my favourite holidays so I fell in love! I read this basically a day. It gave me all the Christmassy feels. Poppy and George have been together for 5 years. 5 years down the drain when George breaks up with her a month before Christmas. She realises she only has 12 days. 12 days to try and win him back I absolutely loved Poppy’s character development throughout the book. The whole beginning on the book I felt sorry for her but then slowly realised she was thriving. It’s ended with such a good message at the end! I just loved seeing her journey and seeing her friendships with over characters evolve.  It was a Christmas story but it was also so much more. It touched on a lot of topics that are normally avoided around Christmas time.  I was tossing up on what to rate this honestly. As it was just a cute Christmas read not anything intense happened. But I have no faults it made me feel happy and Christmassy so I ended up rating it 5 stars!  Thanks to Netgally and the publisher for sending me this arc in exchange for an honest review 😍
