7 days till religion / 10 till math final

Had yet another religion study meeting today and we ended up doing an oral mock exam as preparation for next week. I presented my results for one of the tasks and my teacher was really happy with both my answers and the way I presented them so maybe my anxieties about the oral finals are in fact a bit irrational. Other than that my entire desk and wall got covered in coffee and I ended up planning part of the senior prank with a classmate. + I got lent a bible today which I filled with sticky notes so I can find important passages next week.

05/05 - I've been relatively inactive for a while because I've been doing a 'university experience week'. it's been really interesting! My favourite lesson so far was on iPS cells and I'm looking forward to biochem tomorrow. Haven't really had a whole lot of time to study for my actual classes until now, but from what I hear, I haven't missed too much.

In the end, this is not really something I can control so I will have to try and make the best out of it. Maybe just proving my old teacher wrong and showing him my math skills have improved since he last had me in his class :)

Doubts + anxiety

Somehow having to voice my thoughts out loud makes me incredibly afraid. I’m frightened of presenting my results / explaining my train of thoughts and having the teachers realise I am not as smart as they believe me to be. I know this is quite irrational as I don’t have this anxiety when participating in class or actually writing exams rather than taking them orally but somehow the anxiety is there. But also (as my math teacher made me realise): I can’t control everything.
