How fucking hard is it to make a fruit flavored tea that doesn't contain fucking rose hips. That shit is nasty. I don't want my tea to taste like how old lady perfume smells, I want it to taste like blueberries. Is that too much to fucking ask.

Both of them gave equally nonsensical and incorrect answers to the questions that were asked, but at least the faceless old woman isn't bad for the environment.
"I asked chat gpt"
Ok and I asked the faceless old woman that secretly lives in your home and she replaced all your kitchen utensils with roaches.

YES. I've been thinking about this for so long, how the prison pits were just as.much torture for John as they were for Arthur, and no one acknowledges it.
I fully believe Mr. Faust is the most disturbing part of malevolent. By a long shot.
It鈥檚 not just the idea of cannibalism or murder or Arthur鈥檚 barbarity caused by tkiy that makes it so disturbing. It鈥檚 John that makes it so disturbing. It鈥檚 Arthur鈥檚 ability to see the death of corpses he touches. The fact that every single time Arthur touched Faust to take a bite of him, John had to watch his death over and over just so Arthur could eat. A constant reminder that the worst, most powerful parts of John caused this, and that in a way, Arthur鈥檚 violence was his fault. It鈥檚 like the king is telling John that he can鈥檛 escape what he comes from, his true nature.
And whenever Arthur does his corpse touching ability, it sounds like it hurts John by the way he talks. So what was he doing while Arthur ate Faust? Was he silent? Was he begging Arthur to stop? Stopping means starvation. This is why Faust is the ultimate punishment to me because it effectively dehumanizes Arthur and destroys John鈥檚 self image and faith in his friend, which are key parts of their individual characters.

The way that the only thing that could have prompted Arthur to say that was the situation with Kayne too. John did actually nothing to him and Arthur's just casually like "Yknow I actually wish id never met you, and youre the only reason Im in this really terrible situation in the first place. Yeah ik Im like your only reason for living atp but I rlly wish we never met actually." Wtf Arthur.
sooo... about that infamous line in Part 52, that horrible "I should have never opened that damn book"... we do realize it's gonna have consequences, right? like. big ones. John heard loud and clear that meeting him was one of the worst things to ever happen to Arthur and that same day he has to watch him be literally torn apart limb for limb, the realization that it's in some way all because of him probably taunting him. this is 100% going to haunt him in s6 and I am putting all my money on there being some sort of sacrifice scene from John like in the s2 finale, as a way to desperately set things right and atone for... yknow... existing.

Antoine: Did I find love?
Arthur, remembering how he killed the widow by bludgeoning her to death with a rock: You had so many friends.
Malevolent 52 Spoilers under the cut. Basically just thoughts and reactions.
Can't say I'm surprised since Kayne was never going to honour the deal and even if he had it still would have ended with Arthur getting everything and THEN being brutality murdered, we had to get the Dark World/Afterlife arc somehow.
Arthur's parents not only a part of a cult but one to Lillith is amazing and I wonder if that cult is connected to the guy who opened the way in the first place.
Kayne killing Lillith (father murders daughter we love a parallel) was always gonna happen but I am sad.
Kayne's goal being Pure Joy is actually great. Plays on some of his lore and IS about power but for a reason that's actually interesting. Plus Kayne wanting to kill his father you love to see it.
Antoine: was I kind 馃槶 no you weren't. Thank you for lying to him Arthur let him rest.

Super interesting music nerd thought I just had about malevolant-
So like a year ago I learned Faroe's Song because I play piano and felt like it, and today while relistening to the part where Arthur is playing the piano in Larsons house and John comes back, I came to a fun realization about how the song is written.
The primary melody of the song is played in the upper octave with your right hand while the background/accompaniment is played with the left hand on the lower octave.
John has Arthur's left hand.
The hand that plays the accompaniment
The song isn't complete without Arthur- the melody, but the accompaniment, the base that the song builds itself on, is John
Anyway, idk if that was intentional, but from the amount of music theory terminology referenced in malevolant, I think it's safe to assume that Harlan knows what he's doing.
Edited the post bc somebody pointed out I had which hand john was wrong originally MY METAPHOR THEORY STILL WORKS I SWEAR. Look the point is you can't play the song with only one hand, they're two halves of a whole, one can't exist without the other, etc.
